Good Customer Service
Pros:

While we didn't stay at this hotel - I have to give it a review. I was impressed with the customer service I received. The day of arrival, my group of 3 rooms was not available due to a Veteran's group extending their stay - the staff of this hotel offered other room set up accommodations at this hotel, however, it would not work for our situations. Two of the rooms had 2 parents and 2 teens -- roll out cots wouldn't be feasible for the teens - especially the boy. So they graciously offered to move us to their sister property - Hampton Inn & Suites - Chesapeake Mall area. Room rates stated the same, I received my cancellation for Candlewood and within the hour my confirmation for Hampton Inn. The staff at Hampton Inn were even waiting on us with our room keys in hand at the front desk.

While this is a first to happen to us, I can say this staff went above and beyond on trying to ensure we had accommodations and a smooth transfer from one hotel to the other - and with multiple apologizes for the inconvenience. Our date of stay was July 22nd.

The stay was great. It was comfortable roomy and over all a great experience
Pros:

Great area where we could walk to get something to eat as you have Burger King, 711, subway, and old bay seafood. They also have a nail salon in walking distance. Overall the stay was great.

Cons:

I did not like that they would not clean our room and we had been there almost a week. The house keeper was going to clean it but other lady stated they don’t clean unless you stay 7 days ( we had been there 6 days) we had to ask for towels and was told they would see if they had any. We went to extend the room and were told they are already sold out even though we were already there and that we had to go online and see if any were available. We ended up leaving and all of a sudden it was no longer sold out.

Great Staff, good location, but musty, unclean room.
Pros:

The location was good, walking distance to Burger King, Cracker Barrel, 7-11, and Starbucks, with more shopping and food options just a 5-minute drive away. The staff was very welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. Small shop in the lobby for necessities as well as FREE coffee. Tons of space for walking pets around the facility. The bed, pillows, sheets, and comforter were very comfortable.

Cons:

The outside of the building is clean, modern, and well-kept, and even the lobby looks clean, but the room was not. It was musty-smelling, broken microwave, nothing appeared to be wiped down (fridge, microwave, cabinets, walls, vents, A/C), bathroom vent was dusty and moldy, A/C bottom was open and full of dust and hair, and the carpet constantly felt damp. During our stay, 2 of the 3 washing machines were broken, so there was a constant line of laundry baskets waiting to be washed.

Location, it was close to our itinerary

Cons:

The front desk staffs are rude. All of them different shifts in 4 days that we were there are all rude except for Michael who assisted us with a smile when we checked out. The rest should get a job where they don't have to deal with people. No drinking water. We did not have hot water for one day out of our 4 days stay. The value is too expensive for the service and the utilities we received. I would NOT go back or recommend.
