The room was comfortable (315) and the hotel staff was friendly. However, the TV in the room didn’t work well and who’s going to call the desk at 11 PM to move to another room. The remote worked, but after a few (up to 10) minutes, the TV started searching for a signal. I must have turned it on and off 10 times to no avail. Need to get this fixed.
The customer service was top notch! Kanesha at the front desk was so kind and helpful. I was staying because of a cancelled flight due to a snowstorm. The situation was not ideal, but this hotel was a wonderful place to rest and relax while waiting out the storm. The gym was well equipped, the breakfast was really high quality, including cage free eggs and organic options. I would recommend this place for sure. 10/10!

I had taken a red eye and arrived 6:15am. Luckily my friend and his dad arrived first and had a smaller room, so I met him up and we went downstairs for breakfast. The spread was pretty good - eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, breads, fruit, etc. I later took a nap on their couch and by around 12 noon, the room I booked was ready.
We were staying for 5 nights, so I said we needed separate bathrooms. Hence the room above. Since we had three people and this had 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 3 beds, I thought this was perfect! It was very roomy. Nice little kitchen area as well. The couch wasn't the most comfy, but fine for the amount of time I chilled on it. The beds were comfy as well. The rooms clean.
A few times I had asked for extra toiletries and never got them. For some reason I always get super dry on vacation, so I wanted some lotion. Asked for it twice and still never got any. Housekeeping only came by once while we were here. Tho we only requested it twice so they only missed one time.
There is a gym which I never checked out. Parking is $10 a day which isn't bad. You definitely need a car if you are staying here. It's in the middle of nowhere. There is a small market of sorts by the front desk selling snack, toiletries, beers, etc. We actually wanted too buy some beer from there on Sunday, but we're from CA. Did not know Sundays were dry.
I have Marriott Platinum status and even though I didn't book this officially thru them, the reservation showed up on my app. I was able to request a late check out at 2pm. Not sure if they would have given me 4pm, but we wanted to grab a meal before heading to the airport so that was too late for us.
Good hotel if you have a car and need a place that feels more like an apartment.
Great stay. Overnighted to take an early morning Amtrak train to New York from the BWI airport. Yes that is a thing. Their is lots of parking although larger SUV types may find it challenging but you are use to the size of you vehicle by now. Front desk was very good. I forget the young ladies name but I felt welcome. The room was super large and very clean. Passed the socks test. The water in the shower was instantly hot. I had a room at the end of the hallway. Sometimes those rooms need a while for the water to get hot. Not here. The only issue was the Internet. Make sure you connect to the Residence Inn network and not the Sheraton next door. My devices had no issues. BUT the Internet TV could not connect to the Internet even though the network box was in the room less then 10 feet away. Not the first Marriott where this has been a problem. But it was only 1 night and I did not raise it as an issue due to the time. I would stay here again. Close to the airport and train station. It just works.
everything went well, thank you!
We stayed at the Residence Inn BWI airport in Baltimore. Myra made our experience extra special! It was an easy check in and out, the location was so convenient and she made sure to attend to our needs. She always wear a big smile and very friendly!
Great stay. Parking not so great, plus you pay an extra $10 per night for parking
Nice staff and breakfast, but...2 issues. (We stayed twice - on our way to an event and on the way home.)
First, and most important: Being VERY close to BWI and DIRECTLY in the flight path for take-offs, starting at 5 AM and repeating EVERY 2 MINUTES, our hotel room was filled with the sound of jets taking off, and only a few hundred feet overhead. Forget ear plugs and/or white noise machines or apps - worthless. If you have any plans to sleep to 6 or 7 or even later, don't even think about it. Someone had previously written a review stating that he/she was surprised that they didn't hear any airport noise. My guess is that they were either very early risers or hard of hearing.
Second (and only applicable to our 1st stay): We arrived late and were assigned to a room that had a malfunctioning window, causing a howling noise whenever the wind blew, so the staff was nice enough to move us to a quiet corner of the hotel. We settled in for the night, only to hear a loud mechanical noise which would last for 10-15 minutes and then shut off for the same. Ear plugs and a loud white noise app helped a bit.
In the morning, we heard that noise, much louder, when we stepped out into the hallway. 2 doors away, there was a mechanical room with an unlocked door, so I opened it and was greeted with what sounded like a malfunctioning jet engine (well over 100 dB). It may have been part of the hotels ventilation system, but something was clearly broken. I took a video and showed it to the AM staff. Their 1st question was "how did you get into that room?" (It was unlocked.) That was followed by "OMG! We'll get our mechanic to take a look." I'm assuming that has been fixed.
Each time, however, the staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have that, but if I'm not getting a good night's sleep, nice doesn't get me there.
From the moment Myra at the front desk greeted us to the moment Mike Rowe, the GM, helped load our bags on the airport shuttle, we felt welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Staff was great
Super nice hotel to stay at. Close to the airport and the staff were nice. The rooms are renovated and clean. I miss that they aren't part of IHG anymore but it is still a good hotel overall.
It started out rough with a room that smelled like stale cigarettes, but the staff were super friendly and immediately moved us to another room that smelled great. I can’t say enough about the staff at the hotel. They were so welcoming, made us feel at home, and I had great conversations with them. The room was clean and comfortable, and I would recommend this hotel.
I arrived at Residence Inn BWI after a bad experience at another hotel, feeling overwhelmed. From the moment I walked in, Myra was warm, professional, and genuinely kind. She gave me two rooms to choose from and made me feel at ease.
I had to check out early due to a death in my family and was clearly distraught. The young man on the morning shift showed no compassion and bluntly asked, “Mama, what room are you in?” — which felt cold and dismissive..
I asked to speak to Myra, and once again she delivered with grace, patience, and sympathy. She’s a true example of what hospitality should be, and the hotel is lucky to have her! That young man should take notes from her — you never know what people are going through.
Despite that one poor interaction, Myra turned my stay into a positive one. I recommend this hotel.
