The breakfasts were outstanding! Many choices that were all delicious!
There was nothing I didn't like.
First time to Elizabeth Pointe Lodge and Amelia Island. We loved the area and the location. We really enjoyed the amenities at the additional $35 per day charge at EP--the breakfast, afternoon reception, comfortable lobby with coffee/tea/water, beach towels and loungers on the beach, lovely bathrooms with walk showers, sound of the ocean while we slept, comfortable beds. The first morning we awoke, went down to our 8:30am breakfast reservation and the lobby was super busy (we get it-Saturday morning.) We offered to come back at nine as the front desk gal was overwhelmed with checkouts and breakfast check-ins. She said "fine." (not thank you.) We returned a bit before nine to a much emptier lobby. She took our name and curtly told us "your reservation was for 8:30." We gently reminded her that we had arrived on time but had offered to come back since she was so backed up. She didn't apologize and was rude to us for the rest of our stay. We were perplexed and it was quite off-putting. Passive aggressive and odd. The breakfast server gals were wonderful, friendly, and provided great service. I've worked in customer service for years-it can be tricky when someone who is customer facing chooses to single people out, perhaps because they think they will get away with it-you just wonder what are they getting out of this? We had a fun special birthday weekend regardless but I don't think we would come back if that front desk person was working-it's no fun to be treated poorly and glared at. Not even a parting "hope you come back to visit us." Okay-message received.
Great beachfront boutique hotel. Rooms are immaculate, cozy and roomy. Complimentary breakfast is very nice. Staff is superb. A charming place.
We enjoyed are recent stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge at Amelia Island, FL. This was our first time visiting. My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in Florida. It was a great location with the beach right outside the door. The atmosphere, rooms, cleanliness, and service were a 5 out of 5. The breakfasts and afternoon social hours were excellent. We enjoyed our time at the beach and really enjoyed our trip to Fort Clinch which was right down the road. Downtown Fernandina, just a very short drive away, was also a high point of our stay. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
The location of Elizabeth Pointe the ocean view is an excellent option. For those looking for that experience. Service was excellent and clean rooms. The cost is in a higher price, the rooms need some maintenance. Doors do not close right. If they have robes they should have slippers. Also an extra mini soap little bottle for showers and the same one for hand washing. Breakfast was good.
Wonderful few days here! It is a beautiful Inn with wonderful views on a quiet beach area. The staff was wonderful and answered all our questions. The deck with the rocking chairs was our favorite. It was the perfect quiet retreat with biking and trails nearby! The Lodge was full but so quiet! Wonderful time!
Thank you for another wonderful stay at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge. The amenities are wonderful and the lodge is charming. To top it off, the staff is extraordinarily accommodating! In fact, we rebooked after our first visit because of the staff. If they could just control the weather...;)
The room was very nice with a comfortable bed but lacking the amenities you would expect. No glasses, coat hangers, tea/coffee facilities were in the room and, on arrival, we were pointed to our room with no assistance up two very rickety sets of stairs ! Also you have to book a breakfast slot as the food is freshly prepared but theres no extras like a buffet table with yogurts, fresh fruit etc. The breakfast was standard eith a couple of slices of bacon and one piece of toast- bear in mind our room was around $2,000 dollars for three nights! Biggest draw is the view which is beautiful - unfortunately it all felt a bit lacking for an upmarket boutique hotel.

Location was excellent! Breakfast was great.
The rooms are not $400+ rooms. There was no closet, no drinking glasses, the only lights were on the nightstand. The only place for clothes was the nightstand. There was only one chair in the room so the other person had to sit on the bed. $35 additional per night during the off-season is ridiculous. The is for beach chairs, beach towels etc.
Location
The bed was terribly uncomfortable in the Hibiscus suite. The room was worn and outdated.
Very relaxing and comfortable. Beautiful view.
There could have been a bigger variety of hors d’oevres during the cocktail time
Our two night stay was fabulous. We had no expectations as we were supposed to stay in a condo that was rented out from under us on the day of. We arrived at the lodge on a Friday evening and were relieved they had two rooms available.
The staff is very kind and helpful. We had ocean view room which were spacious and spotless. Happy hour was nice and breakfast was next level.
We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this beautiful accommodation on the beach!
This is a delightful bed and breakfast located right on the beach. Our room was well-appointed and comfortable. We had a room on the ocean side; the sunrises viewed from our room were spectacular. The staff is helpful and could not be more gracious. The made-to-order breakfasts with several options were outstanding. The location of the property is convenient. It is in a quiet section of town, but not far from the historic downtown. We chose to walk to the downtown area and waterfront. It is about a two-mile walk, mostly flat, through a residential area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay,
Lovely bed and breakfast. Spectacular view from our room (4th floor ocean view)which was tastefully decorated and the bedding extremely comfortable. 24 hour staff was a plus and they were great. Walking distance to restaurants and hiking trails. We enjoyed every minute!

Nothing
We booked 5 nights at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, as our home base for our annual year end retreat. The fourth floor oceanfront view was exactly what we wanted. The sound of the surf and sunrises are favorite things. The daily breakfast met our needs and we appreciated being able to pick a seating time as well as the personal service. The front desk people were very accomodating with ice, water bottles, and fresh cookies. The early morning HOT self serve coffee station was much appreciated. We took advantage of the 4pm happy hour everyday! And, we appreciated the easy and free parking situation - as compared to valet parking at other places we have stayed.
Very disappointing. Had been our go to place to stay on Amelia Island for years. But in decline-scratched up floors in our room, decks in disrepair. Incredibly uncomfortable bed with springs(!) that squeak. Paid over $300/night. Won’t be back-unfortunately.
