Parking my car was difficult, must be much worse in the summer
We have been enjoying visits to the Grand for many years now and, as ever, we had a wonderful time during our recent stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel itself is characterful with elegant decor and lovely views, particularly from the light and airy conservatory. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food delicious and we love the fact that the town and beach are a short stroll away and we can go on beautiful hikes in any direction, exploring the coast and hills. All in all, we hope to be back soon!

Tiny room but it was cheap
Had a wonderful time. Staff from the very beginning were professional, kind, helpful and accommodating. SWANAGE was a gem too. At breakfast get the scrambled eggs - best I’ve ever had.
Lovely hotel with great views and friendly helpful staff. Bedroom was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Not keen on the layout of the Pool/spa area. It was small and overlooked by a gym, which you had to walk past down a corridor to get to the small sauna, but it was very clean.

Meals were very good but we we were disappointed that there was no fish option on the menu on either night we stayed.
We felt some areas of the hotel need some TLC but overall an enjoyable stay.

This a comfortable hotel with first class rooms. What is outstanding is the service from friendly and attentive. The location is superb; the view from all the main rooms is simply magnificent.
The location and view over the Bay

Amazing location overlooking bay. Room was clean, staff were friendly.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. I had been contacted in advance as there was no food available in the evening and they were checking it was still ok for me. On arrival, they gave me useful information about where and when to go to eat. The room was at a comfortable temperature and was exceptionally clean.

Amazing location on the sea shore, on top of the cliff. Very friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely incredible view from the dining room. Good restaurant.

We prefer fresh coffee. As for dinner on day of arrival, we were told to have dinner immediately at 6pm, and to choose within 5 mins. We were not able to book at 7.00pm despite no one else arriving at that time.No explanation or apology
