Canalview Hotel Ter Reien is a self check-in hotel, where no 24-hour front desk is available.
Reception staff is available 6 days of the week from 10 AM.
All information about check-in and staff presence will be provided before stay.
Not inclusive roomprice, supplements:
- Hairdryer: these are available at reception (from 10.00 am - noon) for a supplement of €5.00.
- Extra pillow: € 2.50 per unit
- Tea kettle: € 5.00 per stay

Heating policy in winter: The heating is automatically provided at a max. of 20 degrees in the rooms from 4.00pm - 10.30am.
Renovation/construction/maintenance work for the exterior/interior of public spaces and rooms will be carried out from 01/01/26 to 31/12/26Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Great location, but we felt it was not nice to have to take your own shampoo and hairdryer. A bit mean.
No shampoo, not not much toilet roll. Small rooms.
Unfortunately, my stay here was disappointing. The heater is centrally controlled and turned off during the daytime, with the explanation that “the sun is out,” even if your room doesn’t get sunlight. Guests cannot control the room temperature, and reception is not available 24/7 to help.
Basic amenities are also missing. There was no hand wash or shower gel in the bathroom, and almost everything you request — toiletries, kettle, coffee machine, extra towels, or cutlery — costs €5 each time.
The breakfast was also poorly managed. Even though it runs from 8–10 AM, if items run out, they simply say it’s finished and do not refill them.
Overall, it felt like a place where every basic thing comes with an extra charge, which is disappointing for a hotel stay.

La ubicación esta muy bien, para comenzar un recorrido desde Jan van queda genial. El desayuno estaba incluido y las camas geniales. Todo estuvo bien

La Ubicación es buena. La habitación era amplia y con vistas al canal. A pesar de estar en remodelación el hotel, eso no fue inconveniente para nuestra estadía. Lugar sin ruidos donde se descansa bien.

La ubicación estaba muy bien. La parada del bus que conecta con la estación de tren estaba en la misma puerta.
Location
Room entrance direct from the street and there is no any carpet inside the room. So you should go in dirty shoes inside the room and floor becomes very dirty
very cold floor. Heating is weak, the first night we should sleep in extra cloths. Cause on the bad heating there was high humidity in the room
