We had a fantastic welcome from the management and staff at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeerhra and a group of Cambodian dancers performrd for us a charming welcome dance. We are being really well looked after at the Sofitel Abgor Phokeethra and are really happy with junior suite farden patio room we are staying in. The space is huge with a ginourmous bed and not one but two seperate seated area one with a second tv. Lots of restaurant choices and a fantastic pool with an ideal temperature and livley swim up bar mines a mango smoothie !! Lots of polishwd varnished floorboards and sepecially in the room. Lots of interesting rooms to explore in the reception area catering for wine tasting along with cambodias take on tapas !!
This is another very good hotel in the Sofieel chain and are very happy we chose to stay here on the first leg of our Cambodia/Bangkok adventure.

Fabulous hotel with stunning grounds, facilities such as the pool and spa. The restaurants and excellent friendly staff in all areas the hotel just make the experience even better. Finally it is in a great location with plenty sites to see in Siem Reap plus the temples of Angkor Wot nearby
This is the only 5 Star resort in Siem Reap that I am aware of. The facility is 6 stars. The food is 4 stars. The staff are 5 stars. The pool and outdoor grounds are absolutely beautiful. You will not be unhappy staying here.
Our stay at Sofitel Siem Reap was nothing short of extraordinary — a true five-star experience in every possible way.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, elegance, and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. The rooms were spacious, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable, and the grounds and pool area felt like a tropical oasis after long days exploring the temples of Angkor.
What truly makes Sofitel Siem Reap exceptional, however, is the staff.
Every single person we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay special — but a few deserve special mention. Ken, the manager, is outstanding. His professionalism, warmth, and personal attention made us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. He goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs perfectly, and it truly shows.
A heartfelt thank you as well to the slightly older gentleman who served us breakfast each morning. He greeted us with the biggest smile, remembered our preferences, and brought such warmth and joy to start every day. His kindness and care made breakfast one of the highlights of our stay.
The breakfast itself was phenomenal — a huge variety of delicious options, beautifully presented, and always fresh. Combined with such wonderful service, it was the perfect way to begin each day.
Sofitel Siem Reap is more than just a beautiful hotel — it’s a place filled with heart, soul, and exceptional people who truly care about their guests.
We cannot recommend it highly enough and will absolutely return. If you are visiting Siem Reap and want luxury, comfort, and world-class hospitality, this is the place to stay.
Thank you to Ken and the entire Sofitel team for an unforgettable experience!
We stayed 2 nights at the hotel as part of our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. The welcome, service and helpfulness of the staff were at a very high level. We were upgraded to a prestige suite. The cleanliness was perfect, breakfast with produce from local farmers. It's a shame that due to the hotel being full we couldn't get a later check-out, but we could use the pool until our evening flight. If we come back to Angkor we would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is total luxury, the buffets are everything you could ask for. Rooms are large comfortable, and clean. Bathroom is large and luxurious. Close to attractions.
This is simply unbelievable. There are so many unique and special touches around this hotel that make it one of the best.
The standard of training for every member of staff concierge, bar, customer service, all housekeeping, waiters etc is beyond measure.
It has its own lake and botanical garden with bird spotting books provided in every room.
The gardens and pool are kept to the highest standards.
One day we watched one of the customer service staff plump up every cushion and arrange perfectly after a bunch of tourists had quashed them!
The hotel does a customer experience scheme where the stay there, use everything and feed back.
We’d particularly like to thank the female member of staff on duty in the hotel executive club and also the guy in the evening who spent time answering lots of questions.
We were very lucky to have an up grade from a junior suite to a Prestidge suite. A more beautiful room we have ever seen.
We wish good luck to the new director who started when we were there, please keep talking to your guests.
Just one thing to put right. There’s only body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower not the bath. When I se this sort of thing I know it’s been done by a man! A woman would’ve thought of this. Lolz
We had an outstanding experience at Sofitel Angkor Wat. A very special thanks to Pascal Tadin, GM of the hotel. He made sure and went out of the way that we are taken a very special care of as our group also comprised of kids and elders. All the staff (Hong Tech, Prasna etc) were super attentive on our needs and ensured everything was taken care of.
The resort area is amazing with nice walking pathways, an amazing pool (kids loved it), and a good breakfast spread. The rooms are big with a balcony. Resort is just a 7-10 mins drive from main city and only 15 mins drive to Angkor Wat temple area.
This was one of our best experiences with Sofitel. Highly recommended!!
As our hotel did not have a great pool we took advantage of the large pool at the Sofitel. For USD15 per person/day you had the use of the pool, with ample numbers of sun beds and showering facilities in their spa
This hotel is beautiful! Close to downtown and historic sites. The staff were very helpful and responsive to our needs. The food is the restaurant was delicious. The pool area was very nice.
The staff were so kind and accommodating. They are proud of the resort and their country and are happy to have visitors come to Cambodia.
So much potential but it’s wasted. The hotel needs updating and staff need more training especially in service in restaurants to achieve a 5* experience. Compared to the Sofitel in Hanoi, this is sadly lacking
Absolutely loved this resort. The staff, food, accommodations, pool area and everything else about this resort is top notch!
🌟 Wow Experience at Sofitel! 🌟
What an absolutely amazing stay! The location is stunning, hospitality is top-notch, and every moment felt special. A huge shoutout to Mr. S.K. Rahman, who truly surprised us with specially curated Indian cuisine — the aloo paratha, upma, and ohhh those pani puris were simply unforgettable! 😍
If you're staying here, just reach out to SK — he goes beyond expectations to make your experience extraordinary.
Kudos to the entire Sofitel team for five wonderful days filled with warmth, comfort, memories, and smiles. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
With regards,

The hotel has a luxurious feel to it. The grounds are wonderfully well kept - lovely for a picnic at lunchtime. The room we had was large and in good condition, although there was no balcony/terrace and the view was of plants right at the windows.
The buffet breakfast and dinner was of a high standard. Unfortunately there can be a line of guests waiting to enter the restaurant at breakfast peak times due to no tables available. The hotel is at the edge of town but if you are fit then a 20-30 minute walk gets you to the busy areas (which are definitely worth visiting).
The staff were wonderful.
This Sofitel is a beautiful property in an excellent location within Siem Reap. Outstanding service made our holiday special.
Unfortunately, I injured my shoulder while at the hotel, however the staff were very attentive to my needs. They provided ice and a topical ointment for my shoulder which helped with the swelling. Our driver to the airport, Longdy, was very helpful assisting us with our bags.
I recommend the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort and hope to visit again.
My husband and I stay here for 3 days to visit Angkor Wat temple complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia, back in October. This resort is very luxurious – from the beautiful landscaped property, to our comfortable room, to the delicious foods, and to the great service. We also saw Cambodia’s famous Apsara Dance at the resort’s garden – stunning costumed dancers with live music.
Since our short stay was packed with activities, we did not get to enjoy the resort’s many amenities – such as massage or swim in the pool. When we left, I told my husband I wanted to come back for longer stay. He agreed. Highly recommended!
