Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

So much potential but it’s wasted. The hotel needs updating and staff need more training especially in service in restaurants to achieve a 5* experience. Compared to the Sofitel in Hanoi, this is sadly lacking

Absolutely loved this resort. The staff, food, accommodations, pool area and everything else about this resort is top notch!

The hotel has a luxurious feel to it. The grounds are wonderfully well kept - lovely for a picnic at lunchtime. The room we had was large and in good condition, although there was no balcony/terrace and the view was of plants right at the windows.
The buffet breakfast and dinner was of a high standard. Unfortunately there can be a line of guests waiting to enter the restaurant at breakfast peak times due to no tables available. The hotel is at the edge of town but if you are fit then a 20-30 minute walk gets you to the busy areas (which are definitely worth visiting).
The staff were wonderful.

This Sofitel is a beautiful property in an excellent location within Siem Reap. Outstanding service made our holiday special.

Unfortunately, I injured my shoulder while at the hotel, however the staff were very attentive to my needs. They provided ice and a topical ointment for my shoulder which helped with the swelling. Our driver to the airport, Longdy, was very helpful assisting us with our bags.

I recommend the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf and Spa Resort and hope to visit again.

My husband and I stay here for 3 days to visit Angkor Wat temple complex in Siem Reap, Cambodia, back in October. This resort is very luxurious – from the beautiful landscaped property, to our comfortable room, to the delicious foods, and to the great service. We also saw Cambodia’s famous Apsara Dance at the resort’s garden – stunning costumed dancers with live music.

Since our short stay was packed with activities, we did not get to enjoy the resort’s many amenities – such as massage or swim in the pool. When we left, I told my husband I wanted to come back for longer stay. He agreed. Highly recommended!

Cambodia, a challenging journey in terms of air travel, but definitely worth it. Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from the Netherlands yet. What lovely people, very enthusiastic and surprisingly energetic, customer-friendly, helpful. We're so glad we finally chose Cambodia as our destination. Highly recommended for lovers of Asia. Everything is perfectly arranged or is perfectly arranged by them. We had another fantastic time, a trip that exceeded all expectations. What stunningly beautiful and colorful nature, lots of vegetables, fruits, unique flowers and trees, everything is present in abundance. But also well taken care of. I've never traveled by tuk-tuk in any Asian country, but in Cambodia it was a pleasure to travel this way. The tuk-tuk takes you safely and everywhere.
Upon arrival, we were at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. We felt very honored by the welcome from the team. We also received a fantastic welcome bouquet. Thank you so much after the tiring flight and the fact that our suitcases weren't delivered until a day later. Very inconvenient, but very uncomfortable. Fortunately, there is a shop where you can still get something. In short, we had a carefree start to our holiday; the staff was ready to make our stay flawless and excellent. Our compliments especially go to the General Manager, Pascal Tadin, whose presence is unobtrusive. Thank you for his strong commitment to our guests, but especially for inspiring his staff to be so dedicated and service-oriented.
Romane, the charming intern from Brittany, had a beautiful bouquet for me. We enjoyed this bouquet in our room every day. Chorvin escorted us to our exquisitely beautiful suite. Every day at breakfast, we were treated to excellent meals by Hub and Srymech. And, of course, the other colleagues as well. Thanks to Salom for support, Sophyak kept calling and kept us informed about our luggage. Longbee was a perfect driver from the airport and also to a fantastic golf course. What a challenging course!
Also thanks to the French chef, Eric Berrigaud, Mouhot’s Dream and his team for the excellent soups with the special presentation every evening.
My husband preferred to travel to Cambodia, but we both thoroughly enjoyed everything at Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort and Saem Reap and all the temples we visited. We will travel again very soon to this special place and the incredibly pampering hotel.

We went to Seam Reap and stayed with Sofitel a. We had zero regret. It was walking distance to most places from old city and great spot to see sun set and noise free stay. It was within 15-minute range for the major sightseeing spots stayed there for six nights night that was the only regrets. I wish we had stayed longer. We had a very specific requirement which was a very special dietary requirements for a family member. Linda of Asia Luxury coordinated with hotel. The hotel went out of their way to cater. Some occasions they specifically bought food for us. They went out buy special groceries and vegetables to cater. Who in the world would do that. For each of the staff nothing was too big for any request. There were three chefs who were introduced to us by Eric who was the culinary director. One who stood out was the Indian Food Chef Mujibur Rehman. He made different dishes for the lunch and dinner as we ate all the meals at the hotel. He wanted was to have great food experience whilst meeting specific requirements. Thank you, Mujibur, for taking on the responsibility for the family. I also thank all the staff as for them nothing was too small. Look forward to staying there once again.

The hotel is amazing! Grounds are absolutely beautiful - very lush. All of the staff very very attentive and catered to every need. We received a warm welcome from the staff and watched a wonderful traditional Cambodian dance show. Food was delicious - so many wonderful choices on the breakfast buffet and great options for lunch and dinner. Would highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved our time at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra. It is a beautiful resort style hotel with a lovely lagoon that is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. We loved the high position of our room and its deck, overlooking the gardens (which are filled with exquisite flowers and birds singing). Our room itself was large and airy, and had all of the conveniences that I would expect of a hotel of this caliber (I especially appreciated the blue tooth speaker and the in room coffee machine). From the minute that we arrived - to the minute that we left - the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Several learned our names and addressed us in a friendly way as our paths crossed. The pool was lovely, and the spa was a delightful place to relax and rejuvenate. We especially loved the New Years eve decorations (We'll never forget the tea lights on the lily pads). We left a small part of ourselves at this hotel and HIGHLY recommend it.

Fantastic service right from airport pickup, organizing the tours, the personalised service. Very high standards of service - all ambassadors were super polite, helpful and efficient. Special mention to Seyha, Sam Sorm, chhun, Ken.
The spa was also a rejuvinating experience after walking the temples! The icing on the cake was a special Indian (bengali) meal made by Sheikh Mujibur Rehman

Beautifully set in spectacular gardens

This is a resort that is special and magical. The garden grounds are luscious and the ponds beautiful and peaceful. Simply a magical place.
We were fortunate to experience the Native Dancers Apsara Dance Show. A treat and education. The concierge will happily arrange a tuktuk, a trip to the Elephant Sanctuary or Hero Rats or anywhere else.
