The nature around the place is breathtaking, staff is nice and the food was ok.
The breakfast is fine as well.
There’s no elevator and baby cribs.
I was ordering a room for me and my family
2 kids age 6 and 1.8
I was asking to stay on 1st floor and for a baby crib, they gave me camping crib without mattress and the room was on third floor.
Rooms look old, with old TV old colour and odours of an old place.
Great place, clean and spacious rooms, super friendly reception, restaraunt and housekeeping staff! Reena at the reception was super helpful!
The restaraunt food was great, the amenities were clean and well maintained! We really enjoyed our weekend stay!
I liked the location, and lots of activities for the kids.
I didn't like how unkept everything was. For the price we paid, I was expecting everything to be more updated. The grounds were not kept near, lots of overgrown weeds around the courts. Steps leading up to the resort were not in the greatest shape. Our shower in our room was definitely not made for tall people. I was just expecting better for the price we paid.
We went into town for breakfast
Bathroom was SO outdated leaking and peeling

Travelled to the resort with Front Line Tours for 2 nights 3 days. Had a fantastic time, room was on ground floor and this was excellent there are no elevators and my wife uses a walker, nice clean comfy room and 2 beds were just great. Used the hot tub and again used the stairs for access. Had breakfast in Birches Restaurant and also lunch and supper. Good variety of breakfast items. Staff very helpful.
The family suite was perfect for our stay. It was nice to have an area to eat and a living room to sit. The renovations to the lobby are very nice and modern.
The listing says accessible but there is no elevator. I was traveling with someone with mobility issues and was denied a room on the main level. No elevator to access any floors, swimming pool, hot tub or sauna. If you want to walk down to see the beach and have mobility issues you can't. The stairs leading down have no railings.
At first I was given the wrong room according to my booking. The lady at the front desk, Rena, was not very accommodating and was adamant I was incorrect. William and the manager took over and were very apologetic in the mistake that was made and had my room switched to the room I booked, which was the family suite. Although the room was very clean it was outdated and was in definite need of repairs.
The resort is nice and I can see it growing to becoming great under the new management.
Hidden Valley has a beautiful setting and the beds were comfortable, but there are several areas that need improvement. Noise from other guests in the hallways continued late into the night, making it difficult to rest. Front desk communication was also disappointing, as calls often went unanswered and responses came much later than expected. In addition, the floors in our room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. The room itself was fine, but overall the experience did not compare favourably to other hotel chains such as Hampton Inn, where cleanliness, service, and noise management are generally more consistent. Hidden Valley has potential, but guest comfort and responsiveness need more attention.
I hate to give negative reviews as I am aware that you cannot please everyone. However we visited in mid May only to be told that there was no bar, no restaurant and no massage facilities. We had travelled from the UK and were very disappointed. I could not find anything on the website to support this.
Nice hot tub/pool area for kids & adults. Nice views onto the ski hill.
This is not what it used to be. This is not our first time here but might be the last time. Apparently, this place is under new ownership and it’s not good.
Firstly, if the hotel is under renovation that should be mentioned.
On arrival I unpacked 2 kids and an 80 year old mother. Only to find the bed broken and needed to be replaced and so we changed rooms to unpack every one again. They gave us breakfast for our stay. Ok. Let’s think positive and move on.
Went swimming, great choice for old and young. Unfortunately, this is not a heated pool it’s a cold plunge. First story it was being worked on. Second story it would be fixed next day. Third story it wasn’t going to be done this week at all.
Went to the restaurant to eat dinner. Well the menu is not the same. Can’t even get a proper dinner. Well they had to change the menu blah, blah, blah. $140 later and don’t get me wrong I have no problem spending the money just give me choice beyond a burger and wings, would have been happy to pay more. Let’s move on. Back to the room.
So let’s add the fire stick we brought with us to the tv and watch movies it’s getting late anyways. Well after getting an extension cord so we could even plug it in….the converter doesn’t work. Are you kidding me right now. Convinced everyone tomorrow would be better as we still thought the pool was getting fixed (found out in the morning that it wasn’t going to happen and no one was trying to fix it anytime soon).
Day 2 - Went to front desk and got a converter and took the kids for private ski lessons and then went into town. Let me tell you nothing to do there. BTW no lunch available at the hotel so you eat the breakfast buffet 7-10 or you wait till 5pm to eat, or as we did go into town.
Brought kids to pool for try number 2. All kids are in hot tub counted 10, all kids, pool noodles, no parents keeping them normal, and so no room for adults in the hot tub and kids clearly can’t handle the cold plunge pool either.
2 more day not sure how I’m about to survive.
The location is great.
This stay was a huge disappointment. We’ve stayed there before and went back because of the amenities but they were missing this time. The pub wasn’t open until dinner at 6. We had looked forward to a late afternoon drink in the bar to watch Olympics. The restaurant was only open from 6-8:30. When we asked to see a menu they couldn’t find one. It was like they weren’t planning to feed anyone. We went elsewhere and when we returned at 7:30 they told us we needed to order now because they decided to close early. Not customer focussed at all.
The staff were uninformed. They didn’t know what was going on or where things were and appeared not to care. Horrible customer service.
The activity/amenity fees were a total rip off. Not at all worth what we paid. Did not match what is promoted.
