Relaxing place by the beach
Pros:

Good hotel by the beach,
10-15 minutes walking to the town centre.
Really nice staff in reception and restaurant.
We had a room facing the town with sea view.
Good supermarket nearby with fresh meals especially, useful when on the beach. Good location, not far from train train station as well.

Wir waren mit zwei Familien, insgesamt sechs Personen inklusive zwei Kindern, auf Sizilien in diesem Hotel und hatten Übernachtung mit Frühstück gebucht.

Die Zimmer waren insgesamt recht altmodisch und einfach eingerichtet. Man kam zwar zurecht, allerdings hätten wir uns gerade im Hinblick auf den Komfort eine modernere und zeitgemäßere Ausstattung gewünscht.

Auch das Frühstück entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen. Die Auswahl war sehr überschaubar: Es gab täglich nur eine Käsesorte, Frischkäse und zwei Wurstsorten. Frisches Gemüse wie Gurken oder Tomaten war nicht immer vorhanden. Besonders ärgerlich war, dass die Brötchen meist schon gegen 9:15 bis spätestens 9:30 Uhr nicht mehr nachgefüllt wurden. Danach gab es teilweise nur noch wenige, sehr dünn aufgeschnittene Baguettescheiben. Da das Frühstück bis 10 Uhr angeboten wurde, hätten wir erwartet, dass das Buffet bis zum Ende der Frühstückszeit ausreichend aufgefüllt bleibt.

Auch wenn das Personal grundsätzlich freundlich grüßte, fühlten wir uns bei weiteren Bestellungen, beispielsweise von Getränken am Pool, nicht immer willkommen. Die Bestellungen wurden teilweise recht genervt aufgenommen, obwohl wir alle Getränke selbstverständlich bezahlt haben und lediglich Frühstück gebucht hatten.

Insgesamt hätten wir uns mehr Komfort, eine bessere Auswahl beim Frühstück und einen aufmerksameren, gastfreundlicheren Service gewünscht. Für einen Aufenthalt im Urlaub gehört für uns dazu, dass man sich willkommen fühlt und die angebotenen Leistungen bis zum Ende der angegebenen Zeiten zuverlässig zur Verfügung stehen.

Das Hotel war grundsätzlich nutzbar, konnte unsere Erwartungen jedoch leider nicht vollständig erfüllen.

Motorbike tour of Italy and Sicily
Pros:

The room was nice overlooking the pool and sea, you would catch the sunset in the summer. The bed was comfy, the carpark was useful for our motorbike. We didn't get time to use the pool or beach. Breakfast has wide selection of food. The hotel is an easy walk into the beautiful old town of Cefalu.

Cons:

We experienced an foul odour in the room when either the toilet was flush for first time. Or if the sink was used first time after being out all day or first thing in the morning. It seemed to emit from the air-conditioning. We only stayed for 2 nights and mentioned this on leaving. The hotel said they would look at it. Quite a few places on Sicily have drainage issues due to old systems and the heat. (We stayed in 7 different places on Sicily).

Exceptional bed and breakfast!
Pros:

It’s a small bed and breakfast that absolutely goes above and beyond! The rooms are clean and she adds several extra touches to welcome you including a small bottle of prosecco . Communication was great! It’s about a 30 minute walk to the valley of the temples and there are several eateries close by. The owner/hostess was very kind and accommodating and there is parking available. Would stay here again.

Pros:

Good location. Close to the beach and walking distance to old town. Big room. The pool was nice.

Cons:

The room did not look like the pictures, very low standard. No hooks or shelf’s to put your stuff in the bathroom. No bedside tables or lamps for the single beds. The balcony only had two chairs but no table. Breakfast buffet was ok but mostly sweets.
