Valentine weekend so we wanted it special and it ticked all my boxes fabulous hotel room 5th floor overlooking the city and the staff were amazing 👏 well done I will definitely book again
We stayed overnight, bed & breakfast, as we went to a show at the Empire. The Reception lady was excellent , informed us about the inclusive car parking(just up the road) and gave us a room upgrade! Room was excellent, very comfortable and clean. We booked a pre-theatre meal in their Seven Seas brasserie which was also great, with plenty to choose from. The breakfast next day was in 1st floor area, a self service style, with hot and cold food to choose. The staff were great, met you at the desk to explain everything and they constantly cleared up tables after people had left. The hotel is definitely value for money , right in the City centre next to the train station and has plenty of offers on rooms/b&b/dinner stays. We will be coming back again!
Hello everyone at The Liner! Just a note to say a massive thank you for making our stay so special. Your hotel is gorgeous. The staff are amazing. So friendly and welcoming. Our room was fabulous, it had everything we wanted. Perfect layout and so comfortable. We went into the bar and the restaurant several times during our stay and were not disappointed. Delicious meals. Good choice of beverages. Lovely Service. The breakfast was excellent. Really tasty, plenty of choice. And again, lovely service from the staff in there. Location was spot on. 100 meters from Liverpool Lime Street. A steady walk to the centre of town. We are definitely returning. We highly recommend this hotel.
We had a fantastic stay at The Liner Hotel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff were absolutely lovely from start to finish and really went above and beyond to make our trip special.
We were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Room, which was beautiful, spacious, and really comfortable. As we were celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday, the hotel also surprised us with Prosecco in the room, which was such a thoughtful and generous touch and genuinely made her day.
The room was spotless, the bed was super comfy, and the location is perfect for getting around Liverpool — especially for the M&S Bank Arena. We felt really well looked after throughout our stay and the service was excellent.
We’re both really happy we chose The Liner and would 100% stay again. Thank you to the whole team for treating us so nicely and making our trip extra special!
Absolutely love the liner and the location .free parking ... Danielle on the reception is excellent and always try and deal with her as nothing is to much trouble for her.. Told Danielle we were coming to the liner for our 25th wedding anniversary and we got an upgrade and a bottle of champagne 🍾. Topclass staff. Thank you x
Just back from The Liner hotel. A great location in Central Liverpool . And consider it great value for it's location. Spotlessly clean. Staff very friendly . Didn't avail of the breakfast option but had dinner two nights in restaurant and it was very good. A nice cosy bar is also attached to the hotel. The staff recommended The Key Lime cafe down the street for our breakfasts and it was excellent, with a great choice. The room was a superior twin. Had an inroom fridge with water and fresh milk supplied every day. Couldn't fault it and intend to come back again.
One of the loveliest (if not THE loveliest) hotels I have stayed in, in many years.
The location next to the station, the lovely rooms, staff, breakfasts - nothing to dislike.
Bathrobes, toiletries, fluffy towels and slippers were all provided, the room was comfortable and spotless.
We appreciated the fridge (with some goodies) and the coffee pod machine.
All for a very reasonable cost.
I would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel.
Overall excellent experience and stay. Great location, comfortable and clean rooms, good facilities and amenities and considered good value for mid week stay.
Friendly atmosphere and excellent customer service, responding professionally and considerately towards our personal circumstances. From our arrival to our departure, staff, including the housekeeper were very responsive and hospitable which made such a difference.
We have stayed here on many times over the years and would undoubtedly stay again.
parked in hotels car park early in morning as we were going to Anfield and asked if we could leave our bags till after the match but thanks to the girls on the desk they allowed us to check in early .thanks to carrie and rachel who were really friendly and helpful ,brilliant no complaints right next to lime street station and city centre but no noise issues never had the breakfast as witherspoons is 2 mins away and opens at 8 so cant pass judgement on it car park is next door and free for guests
This hotel is definitely more like a 3 star hotel than 3. Fridge in room with water and flapjacks. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser complimentary in bathroom. Robes and slippers. Huge bed. Could not fault anything.
The restaurant in the hotel was high end, top notch food. Highly recommend the steak and the duck. Staff friendly. Plenty of choice at breakfast from full English, to ham and cheese to pastries.
Free parking also. Couldn't ask for more
It is not often I write a complaint, however the experience I had with my family is worth the time,
Checkin was quick, the staff were polite, the cruise ship or liner theme was a novelty, and my daughter was impressed with the fish tank in the lobby. We were off to a good start.
We headed up to our room to drop our luggage off. As we were attending a theatre show at the Empire it was a quick in and out. Enough time for my daughter to complain to me that the bed ’smelled funny’. As we were in a rush I didn’t put too much thought into it. I wrongly shrugged off the comment of a 10 year old thinking she was just complaining for the sake out it. Kids right? Well as I found out later, I was wrong.
We returned to the hotel around 11pm. After taking a shower I pulled back the duvet on the bed closest to the door. Immediately I was hit by a foul smell. It wasn’t obvious what it was at first, but when I pulled back what looked like a clean top sheet, I found the mattress protector and the mattress largely stained with what appeared to be ’still wet’ vomit. The smell was overpowering and made us all want to throw up. I removed the sheets and called the reception.
On a positive note, someone came to the room within a few minutes. I can’t remember the chaps name but he was full of apologies (not this it was his fault) and he helped me remove the mattress from the room.
He did ask if we wanted to look at moving rooms, but it was close to midnight at this point and my daughter was already in bed in the adjoining room. I pulled the mattress and sheets etc from the unused bed in the adjoining room and into the main room.
I raised the issue with the reception staff in the morning and they told me that it has been handed over to them by the night staff.
As you can imagine I was less than impressed with my experience. How a damp mattress and badly soaked/ stained protector ends up covered with clean sheets and duvet, well that I do not have an answer for. The most important thing a hotel needs to offer is cleanliness. All other amenities are trivial if it is not clean.
First class food and service, amazing value for money and free parking in the city centre! We’ll definitely be returning.
Always a pleasure to stay at The Liner.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable.
The staff are friendly and go out of their way to help guests.
The bar and brasserie are very good too.
Highly recommend.
Great location and pleasant surroundings and very nice staff. I have booked again and I would recommend this hotel. Free car parking is a bonus.
Fantastic friendly hotel. Warm but professional welcome. Clean and comfortable room. The team were so helpful and made me feel so welcome looking forward to staying again.
The hotel is a 4 minute walk away from Line Street Station. We were allowed to book in early as there was a room (660) available. That was nice it ment we could have a rest before going out. There’s so much to see on the tv. YouTube, ITVX ,iPlayer & many more. I have never had a TV like this in a hotel room before . The pillows were soft the bathroom towels were soft. The Bed is huge . There was bath robes & slippers. The Room is modern and comfortable. The shower worked a dream. Toiletries were really nice. There was a shower cap. There was an Nespresso. Had to ask my siblings how to use it. The kettle had its own docking station. Under the station was a draw with coffee sachets, tea bags , coffee pods and sugar. Lots of power points to charge phones. I forgot our card for the room and was offered another so I didn’t have to go back up to the room. Breakfast was great. I had soya yoghurt. That’s a bonus. Never seen that in an hotel before. I was so happy I had to eat two. Soya milk I had to ask for it. I didn’t mind. They’ve got plant milk.
Me and my partner used this hotel for a get away and it was brilliant, we received an upgrade to a deluxe room and used the room service which was very spend u and had lovely food. All the advice was brilliant and they offered complementary drinks when we told them we got engaged whilst away. All questions were answer we with enthusiasm, from both me and my partner thank you so much h for such a lovely stay. We hope to come again.
stayed here for 1 night as we had a coach trip booked that had a early pick up
hotel is in a great location. did not hear much from the station even thought it was very closeby
rooms were good the onsite resturant seemed good but we had already booked elsewhere
got a good stay deal over the black friday
so great value
well worth a stay
Thank you, all the staff and entertainers. This event was exceptional. Every member of staff was professional and efficient. The meal exceeded our expectation and it was lovely to see everyone person attending had made a big effort to make the most of the evening. I don't like going back to the same place because there are so many other places on offer but this was the best NYE Event we have ever attended and are looking at booking early for this year! Plus a big thank you to the chef who took note of our requests even though the kitchen must have been mad!
Lovely hotel great location, excellent polite helpful staff.Very clean room.Would highly recommend.
Excellent for sightsighting and locality to lime street train station.
