We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. After returning to our room following housekeeping, we discovered that €150 in cash and a pack of cigarettes were missing. We reported the incident immediately, hoping the hotel would investigate.

Instead, we were met with a defensive and dismissive attitude. The receptionist immediately questioned whether we had any proof and repeatedly insisted that it was our responsibility to use the in-room safe. When we explained that our room did not have an in-room safe, the staff had to call housekeeping to confirm this. Only then did they change their explanation and say that valuables should have been left in a safe at reception.

At no point did anyone appear interested in investigating what had happened. We were not asked for details and no incident report was offered. Instead, we were simply told to go to the police if we wished.

The only compensation we received was that the hotel waived the local tourist tax and the charges for drinks we had consumed, amounting to approximately €80. While we appreciated this gesture, it did not address the theft itself or the way our complaint was handled.

While we understand that hotels cannot automatically accept responsibility for every reported loss, we expected professionalism, empathy, and a genuine attempt to investigate. Unfortunately, we received none of these. The way our complaint was handled was far more disappointing than the financial loss itself.

Based on our experience, we cannot recommend staying here.

There were no hot options for breakfast

Poolområdet var en stor besvikelse, poolen är gammal, sliten och saknar helt utsikt. Den såg inte särskilt inbjudande ut och vi badade inte ens.

Sängarna var dessutom extremt hårda. Vi bad om en extra madrass för att göra sängen bekvämare, men fick beskedet att det inte fanns några. Hårfönen kändes också väldigt gammal och blev så varm att man riskerade att bränna sig.

Personalen upplevdes inte särskilt serviceinriktad och flera hade svårt att kommunicera på engelska. Vi önskade ett rum högre upp i hotellet och frågade varje dag om det fanns möjlighet att byta, men ingen återkopplade trots att de lovade att göra det. Vi blev kvar på första våningen under hela vistelsen.

Hotellet marknadsför tidigare tillgång till strand, men numera erbjuder de endast transport till en samarbetspartner cirka tio minuter utanför Taormina. Hotellet tar 16 euro per person för transport och solstol, trots att en solstol på stranden kostar 12 euro om man bokar direkt. Dessutom är det en hundstrand, vilket är bra att känna till om man inte vill vistas bland hundar. Vi rekommenderar istället stränderna nära hotellet eller Isola Bella.

Slutligen bokade hotellet en taxi åt oss och försäkrade att den kunde betalas med kort. När vi kom fram visade det sig att chauffören endast tog kontanter, vilket tvingade oss att leta upp en bankomat mitt i natten.

Sammantaget är läget hotellets stora styrka, men servicen, komforten och flera praktiska detaljer gjorde att vistelsen inte levde upp till våra förväntningar.

Estuve en la última habitación. 314.estaba pegada a la salida y entrada de personal, se escuchabala puerta desde temprano, entrando y saliendo.

La vista no se apreciaba tanto desde la esquina.

Meget trafikeret vej uden noget videre fortov, udenfor hotellet. Og dyr pris , 10 euro, for en retur med svævebanen, for at komme op i byen ( ikke hotellets dkyld)
