We like to stay here because it is convenient walking to the dome and also, the casino. Hotel rooms werent super clean but have stayed in worst. Staff was ok at check in but had called prior about some question and staff was kinda rude, put me on hold and never came back. So that is a little disappointing.
Close to the Arch and the Horseshoe casino.
Reception was
Shower curtain rod in room 515 broken, great view of the arch, a unique building design with the open court yard, and glass elevators , nice place in general but lacking maintenance and cleaning... Through out the facility
Convenient walk to and from Busch Stadium.
Rooms didn’t look or smell very clean. Had to wait over an hour to check in and staff wasn’t very friendly.
Our room was pretty dirty itself( brown stains on curtains, black mold in bathroom, seems as if they didn’t clean shower in-between guests)
Workers are very NON friendly, I understand work sucks but it completely showed on every single face I saw.
Easy parking, amenities such as casino and restaurants were nice options but I give it a overall 3/10
All staff were very rude. There was one gentleman working at the pizza and pasta restaurant that was kind and accommodating.
The showers were dirty, the room looked very quickly flipped. AC barely managed to keep up. Rooms smelled like smoke. Vent was rattling so loudly in our friends room.
It was very convenient for us because it was across from the convention center.
Great place to stay for dome events, safe environment as you need your key card to get into the facility and elevators.
I didn’t get to stay at the hotel; I had a terrible emergency and lost my baby. They refused to refund me.
Nonsmoking room had a stench of stale cigarette smoke. Water damage on the ceiling from a previous leak. Not as nice as it was a few years ago.
We checked in at 9 pm. Lobby was beautiful and smelt clean. Front desk was friendly. We stayed in room 637 and the room was right off elevator and stunk heavily of smoke and it was a non smoking room. Called front desk and they did nothing. They said they could come spray the room. Was very disappointed about this. They also said smoking rooms were on the eighth and up floors so we should not be smelling this.
Room was not the cleanest but was large and pretty nice, at first sight. There was a second sink, which was good to have outside the bathroom. The downstairs bar was never opened so we asked a staff member about it and she said it had been closed for months. We extended our stay for one extra night and, because we booked on Expedia, the manager at the front desk said we’d have to check out by 11am, on the original day, and check right back in. I’ve extended many trips and have never been told I had to do this. So we went down after midnight on the original check out day and the man at the front was very helpful and got us taken care of. Very weird and inconvenient circumstance, though.
Decent hotel. Needs a few upgrades but overall pleasant accommodations. Friendly staff.
We gave this hotel another shot since we had the room comped on a Cubs-Cards weekend. It's just not a nice place. Run-down and dirty. Holes in the drapery. Not sure what that thing was in the AC vent but I wasn't going to touch it. AC did not run well either. Water pressure awful, would not run cold. Casino floor not bad except for the horrible condition of the chairs. Did not try the food except for Gordon Ramsay (which was fabulous once again).
Miss Valarie was so welcoming and inviting! Very helpful with local knowledge! What a true gem she was
For the price of this hotel, I was expecting upscale. It is anything but upscale. It definitely needs to be updated. It is dirty and run down. The walk to get to the casino is really long. There may have been a drug deal going on out front when we arrived. I definitely did not feel safe here. I would not recommend staying here unless you can get your room for the same price as budget MOTEL. Definitely not worth the price.
Stayed in a room with a view of the arch, great experience. Hotel staff is friendly and professional.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lumiere. We were there with kids, so it was nice to have a tv in the living room and bedroom. There was also a refrigerator which was great for leftovers and drinks. Everything was very clean and the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
