Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Ithaca, NY

Was awful. Room had a distinct odor of cooking remnants. Sheets were stained. Used dirty Tupperware behind the curtain. Front desk did nothing. It was room 205. We didn’t even stay in the room. I also had another room. It was better but not great. We all stayed In that room. Was not a good experience and it was a lot of money. Wouldn’t recommend. It needs a complete overhaul.

I did NOT stay at the hotel... I spoke with the manager on the phone and she was rude, told me she was canceling my room (she said to the hotel rep "cancel her room" ) and then she hung up on me. I tried to call 3 times and the hotel did not answer. I paid through booking.com and asked them for a refund that I have NOT received yet. Cost me $113.00 and I got nothing. Very disappointed in the hotel and booking.com for not refunding me. I had to pay to stay at a different hotel. So, this cost me a lot. There is NO "like" at all.

Breakfast needs more options. But it was delicious

The room temp was good. Bed & pillows were ok. No bad smells. Hotel room keys were great, didnt have to get them reprogrammed during the visit. Breakfast did have 1 waffle maker, it made 4 mini waffles at a time. Coffee was ok, they use international delight french vanilla creamer - a plus for us. A few choices of breakast cereals, a small decanter of milk in refrigerator. Had 1 choice of yoplait yogurt - strawberry banana. Hot breakfast was sausage gravy & biscuits & bacon slices (see didnt like below about bacon). TV's do have timers for shut off. Did have hot water for showers.

A restful night and a good breakfast, exactly what we needed to recharge for the road ahead.

When I arrived to check in, the owner was present. He informed me that the room I had reserved, which included a hot tub and had been booked and paid for over a month in advance, was not available. Instead of taking responsibility, he attempted to shift the blame onto me, Hotels.com, or anything other than his own failure. He also became offended at the suggestion that he may have made a mistake, which gave me the impression this is a common occurrence.

He then threatened to cancel my reservation entirely due to his own inability to honor it, seemingly out of concern for facing consequences over how he handled the situation. After I managed to calm him down, as his behavior was unprofessional, he provided me with a standard room instead.

He mentioned that he had only acquired the hotel ten days prior and again tried to use that as an excuse for the situation. All he had to do not to get roasted in reviews was admit he messed up and offer something back to make up for it, instead he said he 'compromised' and gave me a standard room. Beware this place under new ownership, the owners seem like amateurs.

Once I checked into the room, I found it to be very dirty. There was a torn curtain, dents on multiple surfaces, and the overall condition was poor. The pillows were worn out and barely held their shape, and the pillowcases were not clean.

Hoping to salvage the stay, I put on my swim trunks and went to use the pool, only to find that it was closed indefinitely with no prior notice.

This place is an embarrassment. There are enough deep potholes in the parking lot to cause serious damage to your car too.

Clean, centrally located

The property is in a central location to Ithaca College and downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We were visiting our child at Ithaca College and it is great location

Spacious room (more like a suite). Beautiful hot shower. Quiet location.
