Pleasant and Peaceful
Pros:

My stay at La Quinta was pleasant. Clean room, peaceful, shower/sink drains flowed efficiently without any issues. Staff I encountered was friendly. The bed wasn't very comfortable, I guess that is to be expected being that so many guests are utilizing them. The overall atmosphere made me feel safe. Thank you, La Quinta

Hotel could be a good value if you are able to book at a discount, but suffers from a low investment approach
Pros:

I would probably rate this hotel 3.5 if I could but, as i explain here, I couldn't mark it with 4 stars. We wanted to stay overnight in Temecula but wanted to keep the cost of the stay low. This property was offering a surprisingly low price, included breakfast, and had free parking. So we gave it a try,

The public rooms and hallway cooridors looked very nice, and the initial room we were shown had more style than what is typical for this price point. But that room was steaming hot when we opened the door, and we couldn't seem to get the room to cool down using the A/C. The front desk clerk came up to check right away when we called down. He also fiddled with the A/C unit but had no more success than we did to get it to turn up the cool air. He noted that this room had two large windows that let the hot afternoon sun shine directly into the room--and the drapes had not been drawn. He agreed that the room might not cool down sufficiently by the evening, so he brought new cards for the room next door. That room was a bit smaller but at least seemed cooler so we switched.

Although the rooms look like they had been refurbished fairly recently, maintenance seemed to be a problem at the hotel. One overhead light and one table lamp was not working in the second room; the first room had a table lamp out. I ended up switching out a dead light bulb from the first room to use in the second room.

We were only staying one night so it didn't bother us, but we do note that the hotel only offers housekeeping service once every three days. Presumably this is a cost-saving measure but it does reveal more of a desire to keep costs low than to keep standards high.

Since it was an unseasonably hot day for late winter/early spring, I decided to check out the pool. Sadly, my room card did not open the pool area door. I reported this to the front desk clerk and he made me a new card. The pool area itself was fairly plain, with a few chairs and loungers. And the pool was not heated. Even though it was in the 90s that day, the pool water was very cold at 4:30 in the afternoon, probably because the pool area appears to be in shade all afternoon. (I don't know if the pool is heated later in the spring or if it relies solely on ambient air temperature for comfort. If the latter, it probably never becomes very comfortable.) I then left the pool area and tried to use my card to get back into the main building, but the card did not work. Luckily, the front desk clerk saw that I was standing outside the door and rescued me. He said something about the hotel changing its locking system as the reason why I was having so many problems.

Breakfast in the morning was adequate as far as these free breakfast places go. There was a significant delay in getting more cups for coffee and juice so at one point, a half-dozen people were standing around waiting for cups.

Ultimately, we found this hotel a bit frustrating. If they could put more investment into maintenance, it could be a nice property. And, I can't fault the effort of the front desk clerk, who was friendly and tried hard to be helpful. But if he couldn't ensure that I had a card key that worked, despite several tries, that really won't cut it. We doubt we'll be back.

Don't take a customer's reservation money on a computer mistake. That's DISHONEST!
Cons:

Don't list your motel in the Palm Springs Vicinity. Your motel is 75 miles away. I made a reservation thinking your motel was in the Palm Springs Area. I had to cancel and got NO REFUND.

Very nice
Pros:

Very nice. Front desk very helpful. .when I said my wife had difficulty walking, we were given a room near the elevator. Altho the hotel is next to the freeway, no traffic news was heard.

Breakfast was fine - cereal, eggs, english muffins, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee.

Good sized room. King bed, desk, chair, bigger mini fridge, microwave, big tv. Bathroom fine

Highly recommended
