Sleep Inn & Suites New Braunfels

The reviews before us were very accurate and matched our experience. The guy at the front desk was rude. I understand we checked in late, but he could have explained the situation much better. Instead, he just kept saying there was nothing he could do.

My husband then asked if the issue was because we booked through a third party, and that’s when he finally said yes and told us we would have to dispute it with them. From the beginning, we had already told him we booked through Booking.com. He could have explained that from the start instead of repeatedly saying there was nothing he could do.

We then asked if he could write something down stating what happened so we would have proof, but he refused. He verbally said he was not going to write anything down and, once again, very rudely repeated that there was nothing he could do.

On top of that, the hotel smelled musty and had a strange odor as soon as we walked in. Even from the outside, the building looked old and run down. The white curtains weren’t even white anymore. Based on the previous reviews, it honestly feels like we dodged a bullet by not staying there.

Unlike the other reviews, I was pleased with the breakfast. The price was also great.

Love the way the room was set up and the bed was really comfortable and the blackout curtains came in handy after our travels. All around great experience

me,my mom, and brother had went to the pool for about an hour or two after the pool my mom went to the car to grab the rest of our stuff. i come inside to ask for more towels because we used the bath towels provided by the hotel for the pool. i went inside and asked the guy for towels and was greeted with an attitude. when i walked in i said “hi can we get more bath towels” he looked me up and down and was like “so yall used the bath towels for the pool” i said “yes these were the only towels in the room we seen” he said “im not stupid there’s a sign in the room for pool towels” i said “what?” (his response honestly shocked me i was not expecting that.) he then proceeded to say “get out yall have 15 minutes before i call the police” i then went and got my mom. she came in and asked what the problem was he continued to call me a bitch and a n word with the hard R and a bunch of “white folks” and “white supremacist” (mind u im mexican) i started recording for my safety. HE IS THE GUY IN THE PICTURE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

The young man that checked me in was very nice. He even gave me a coke when the vending machine didn't work.

Location is convenient. The main areas were clean. Staff was very polite, but not at all helpful.

The hotel was in a convenient location with easy access. The room was clean with everything in good working order. The hotel was quiet and there was no minimal freeway noise. The AC worked well and was not obtrusive.
