Captain's Quarters Resort

Beach access was perfect, nothing else was. Lobby has zero amenities. Zero. No coffee, no sundries or snacks, nothing but check in stands. Elevator in lobby did not work. We had to drag bags & babies through parking garage to get to an elevator. Asked for change of sheets & trash service. Found garbage bag tied to outside door. No onsite restaurant. Advertised restaurant is across the street. Forget finding someone to assist with bags. Kids hotel but no kids drinks or snacks poolside. I expect more from a resort.

We stayed in level 9 the hotel room is nice at first we have an issue with the water cooling system but so far it’s nice . They do charge you for everything $50 is you leave a mess ,$250 if you break anything . Parking is not free . They have a DJ at the pool all day and a ice cream stand for $7 a cup. It’s very nice .

The location was very convenient, near alot of local stores & attractions. The room we had was for 8ppl 3 adults & 5 children. Fully functional kitchen, where I was able to cook & save $ at same time. The sofa bed was uncomfortable, but what ones are? The pull out bed mattress was fair, just a but dusty where ot pulled out from. The chair in the room could have been steamed clean, very noticeable dirt. But I had a large can of lysol. Staff from check in to departure were very friendly and professional. They were in the midst of remodeling, the housekeeping were generous when asking for clean towels/wash cloths, etc. Overall I'll be back, when they complete the renovations.

Location was great, service was excellent we would ring the maid/cleaning service and they immediately brought what was needed. Checking in was a bit of a wait. The amenities were also great, my children loved this trip.

We've bee coming to captain's Quarters for years. We always enjoy it!

My experience was very good! From the front desk, housekeeping, security guards everyone was very pleasant and professional. My room was very clean. Any time we needed anything, it was never a problem getting it. I enjoyed the fact that there was an onsite arcade. The pools were clean. My younger grands loved the splash park. This was a family vacation and it was something for everyone to enjoy

It was fun for the kids. It is a very secure place.

It was my birthday weekend. I enjoyed just being out of town, the fresh air, and the enjoyment of being around the water and good people.

For the SAFETY of your FAMILY, do NOT book your room here. This place has a COCKROACH problem and I have the photos to back it up.

My family only stayed one night. The cockroaches don't come out until you're asleep and then you have to kill them when you are awake. This was found in the morning. I immediately went to the front desk and demanded a refund for everything. They refunded me for the nights I booked that I didn't stay for, but they refuse to refund me for the first night when this happened. They said it was "Non refundable" and that I stayed the night.

I'm sorry I was asleep and unaware I needed to be awake all night to catch the cockroaches on the spot. If the front desk could of told me of the issue as I was checking in, that would have been really helpful.

It wasn't even just the cockroaches either, we paid to be able to check in at 4pm and the room wasn't ready for hours. By the time our room was ready, it was late, we had to drive around the city with our bags just waiting to get in. We just wanted sleep.

The room wasn't even that clean either. You can see it in the photos the amount of dirt still there. On top of that, the bathroom ceiling fans didn't work.

I'm still really mad about the "non-refundable" nonsense. Non-refundable only works if I got what I paid for.

When I booked a reservation, here's what I paid for:

-Check in at 4pm (as listed on our agreement, not HOURS later)
-A clean room
-A room with working bathroom fans
-A room with NO COCKROACHES!

Since this was not provided, I should get a full refund.

I know I'm going to get an exhausting reply from management about "we're sorry, this is not the experience we want you to have blah, blah, blah" instead of just doing the MORALLY right thing and just issue me a refund.

I want my full refund.
