Room was nice enough but lighting controls difficult to find and understand. There is an iPad like console in the room that is impossible to dim on the bedside and doesn’t control much ?
Breakfast service was terribly slow.
I did not get seated immediately, the waitress was not very visible and the earl grey tea i ordered was not Earl Grey and took fifteen minutes to show up.
When i ordered the breakfast the menu read two eggs any style but i was told that an omelet was not allowed under that category?
Anyhow - i would skip breakfast here and go somewhere local instead.
I had the opportunity to visit the spa for the first time at Waldorf Astoria, and I was amazed by the service I received! It was absolutely exceptional!! It stands out as true five-star luxury! If you love high-end pampering in a beautiful setting, this is it. Its serene vibe, flawless service, exceptional cleanliness, and top-tier amenities will instantly leave you completely rejuvenated and refreshed!! Every detail felt thoughtful and high-end!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!
Hotel experience was ok. Originally booked a junior suite but paid to upgrade to a one bedroom (2 balcony) suite on checkin. Did not like the layout of the 1br suite. The bathroom was closed off and took up too much space, and there was this weird corridor separating the living space from the bedroom. It felt like they just combined two rooms to make the suite; did not flow at all. Also not a fan of hotel lobbies like this where there is no central area to lounge as soon as you walk in. The lobby bar was ok. The restaurant food was underwhelming and the service was very slow. For this price point, I was expecting a lot more, but maybe this is more of a business hotel where you just drop your bags and go to meetings and just come back to sleep. Not really an inviting hotel for a vacation experience in my opinion. And finally, the service was hit or miss. Very helpful at check-in, but no warm welcome gift, nobody checked in during my stay to make sure everything was ok (and I had a number of issues that I called to get fixed), and the late night concierge had an attitude when I called to ask for a few basic items. Same with the spa - the person at the front desk of the spa was very helpful, but the guy in the locker room and sauna area was nowhere to be found, so I had to go to the front desk to track him down. He didn't seem to be keeping the lockers prepared and just opened a few until he found one with a robe in it then walked away without showing me how to lock it. Also the steam room was cold and apparently was not set up for the day. Tried finding the guy again to get him to fix it, but he was nowhere to be found. Staff may need some additional customer service training.
I am writing this review in appreciation of the staff at this WA location. SUPERB! Not just the service the the genuine pleasant amd positive attitudes of the people who work there. Taking the time out of busy schedules to get us bottles of water. Mr Sukru making sure our room was as requested. The always gentlemen Dexter, Jermaine, and Shod always had a smile, remembered our names and again went above and beyond. I will come back to this Hotel every time I am in town, just for the people. Thank you.
Wow, over the top service. Great property, excellent location.
Spent a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend here. The service was top notch. Literally the best service I received thus far. Highly recommend recommended.
The Waldorf Buckhead is a lovely hotel with exceptional staff. Our family (party of 6) were attending MJ The Musical at Fox Theater. Abdul, concierge arranged transportation to the theater prior to our trip. As return guests, we were enthusiastically welcomed by doormen, Cortez and Ron. Shokru, concierge and Meagan, front desk were most hospitable and helpful during our the entire stay. Bellmen, Dexter and Jermaine were most professional
The breakfast was excellent; however, room service menu disappointing.
We just finished our 3 night stay here, we loved every second of it! We had a 2 bedroom suite and it felt like a million dollar condo! We spent most of the first day in the room because of the cold, it didn’t bother us a bit because the hotel is so beautiful! The staff and service is perfect and friendly! We will definitely be back!
staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming; food was excellent; entertainment in the bar on Fri. night was awesome; spa was nice
spa - hairdryers a few more amenities
Everything was excellent including thr staff.
We had a fantastic time staying here after the four seasons service just wasn’t it for us. The entire staff but particularly the doorman/greeting team of Jermaine and his friends made our experience there unforgettable. We will only consider here in Atlanta from now on. The Greenwalds will definitely be back.
I went on Christmas eve and it was the perfect time to pause. I literally fell asleep while reading my book at the pool because it was so soothing . The staff is amazing and made sure all my needs were met !
I have experience hotel spas before, but this location is by far top tier. From the time you walk into the front door to being ushered to the Women’s Lounge the royal treatment is unmatched. I was excited to learn their indoor pool was heated as I’m a human mermaid! Lol But if you forget your swimsuit, don’t worry they have luxurious swimwear in the retail store. The Yacht Club brand was the perfect swim piece to match the vibe. I didn’t want to take off when it was time for my massage with Stephanie. Now she has hands like an angel. My body felt like I was floating on a cloud when she was done. Wish I could give 10 stars because that’s what my experience describes. Get ready for the royal treatment, and no crown is required!
This exceptional boutique hotel offers everything you could ever want when booking a luxury stay in Atlanta. It is near shopping and an easy place to relax and enjoy time with your family. The staff is courteous and anticipates your needs.
Upon arrival, you are greeted by the doorman and the valet, which attend to your every need. They are at the door 24 hours a day, and are cheerful and happy to be here.
Check-in was easy, and the entire Front Desk staff was very welcoming. Erin, the Front Office mgr. was so kind during our stay. She always checked in to see if we were enjoying our stay.
The accommodations are luxurious, with super white linens. They are pressed and perfect. The towels are fluffy and white, and include robes for your use. Slippers are available in room, as our some basic toiletries like Q-tips and cotton balls, mouthwash, etc. The shower toiletries are very high-end and amazing. The coffee maker in room is a Nespresso with ample pods and cups. There is also a kettle for hot water. Iron and ironing board and in room safe, mini bar are also in room.
Dining is easy and comfortable. They have a cozy bar and the bartenders are kind and can make just about any drink you can imagine. We had breakfast daily and the offerings are delicious. The chef was in the dining room and asked if we were enjoying our meals. We also had dinner here and the menu is creative and thoughtful. We also dined at the New Year’s Eve brunch, which was well done and the offerings were creative and delicious.
The spa and indoor pool and fitness center are amazing and immaculate. The housekeeping team are friendly, quick and efficient and the entire hotel is pristine. Everyone we met was so kind and hospitable. It is evident that they have strong leadership and are happy to be here. Their GM, Mr. Suer was also very present and ensuring that the team were exceeding expectations.
I highly recommend this hotel for your time in Atlanta for an unforgettable and enjoyable stay. This is the best Waldorf that we have experienced and it’s definitely a luxury boutique experience.
The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly, exceptionally professional and helpful. Not most of them but every single one we came across from the time we stepped out of our vehicle to the time we stepped back into it did an excellent job.
Extremely Dirty Windows looking out into the city. Forgot to tell the staff at the front desk. Don't think a bottle of what tasted like deer brand water in the room should be $8.00 at those room rates. Don't think there was anything you can watch on the room tv if you don't have any streaming accounts.
First night we get in late, so decide to grab some food at the hotel restaurant. It is an upscale hotel and restaurant, but you wouldn’t have known it from the bartender and two women cackling and hollering as if they weren’t next to each other, but were actually at an NFL game.
The next morning coffee and food took forever and came out cold.
Let’s get some sleep and get out of this place.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG.
What in the world is going on? BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG.
Is someone trying to break into our room? Now I hear a loud walkie talkie.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG.
I jump out of bed to make sure the door jam is on. I peep through the hole, and all I see is a guy in all black who has a walkie talkie.
BANG BANG BANG BANG.
After securing the door, I go back to bed.
BANG BANG BANG BANG.
Finally I hear the door open next door. I listen to what I now assume is a hotel employee have a full conversation about food options at 1:37 AM as if this is completely normal and the patrons in the hotel don’t exist accept for in room 507.
Hotel employee leaves.
35 minutes later, this process replays itself, this time with the guest asking the employee. “We aren’t being too loud are we?!” “Nah, you good!”
Hotel employee leaves.
25 minutes later, BANG BANG BANG BANG again, over and over, until once again the guest comes to the door.
It’s now 2:30 and my sleep is ruined and I toss and turn the rest of the night waiting for the next BANG BANG BANG.
I would only recommend a stay at this hotel to my enemies, and even then I might think twice.
The customer service was excellent from bell hop to front desk, however as an affluent family of 4 we highly respect the value of a dollar and paying for presumed prestige. Not only did we have to have our bath tub cleaned upon entry but even after that there were strands of hair on the shower knobs, we had to have a maintenance man come fix the volume in the tv, the pillows deflated shortly after laying on them and the chipped paint on some of the trimmings of the room highlighted the outdated age of the room. To have spent almost $800 on the world famous Waldorf Astoria I felt like I was robbed of an experience for my family that was equal to staying at the Ramada Inn.
We had the most amazing experience celebrating our 20th year anniversary at the Waldorf Astoria, Atlanta. From the moment we got to the hotel we felt welcomed and special. The spa and restaurant were amazing and made our celebration even better. The red snapper was to die for!
We can’t wait to go back!
