Central location, old building, well looked after
Nothing worth noting
Location was good for walks exploring and shops .must be Great in the summer when you ca use the outside space by the river.
Espresso Coffee machine!
All staff were friendly and hotel location excellent
No tins/bottle tonic only draught. Choice of accompaniments for your gin.
Good location and lovely old building.
Beer garden shut at 16:30 due to rain despite having large covered areas. Had to make your own coffee at breakfast with a machine that most guests couldn't fathom. Edges of bathroom door in room not painted and bare wood. Not what I would expect from a hotel that costs £250.00 per night.
The breakfast and evening meal were excellent
Very clean and well decorated
Very comfortable bed
Would have benefited from somewhere to put personal belongings, only surface in bedroom was tea tray and small bedside cabinets.
Case had to go on floor.
Shower had problem with keeping right temperature, obviously other demands on water pressure, went from too hot to too cold constantly.
Breakfast and location super. Staff all lovely.
Room and shower small.Bistro food good but a little overpriced?
Staff friendly and very helpful. Loved the big bath in the junior suite. All the touches like soaps, towels, bath robes were good. Cleanliness good.
Inclusive breakfast was fine. Not outstanding but of a good standard. But they know how to do eggs!
Better control of the room heating. It's controlled by reception. In the middle of the night, the radiator next to the bed was fierce. Bathroom was cold unless we left the door open.
I was not able to stay at the property as they refused to allow me to stay in the room I had booked and paid for with my two small dogs. The room was not refundable - even though I had obviously booked this one in error- they refused to refund me and would only offer an alternative dog friendly room at a higher price. I was willing to pay a supplement for the dogs but they should have agreed to provide a similar sized room for the same price I had already paid, or agree to cancel the booking . As the size of the cheapest alternative dog friendly room (still more than I had already paid) was too small, I decided to cut my loss and decline the alternative room offered . BEWARE booking through Booking.com - they try to get you to panic you won’t find a room with “ hurry - last one available” type wording … I am usually VERY careful NOT to book non - refundable rooms but was completely caught out this time. The woman manager at The Atholl Arms was very rude and unpleasant and completely uninterested in making any compromise - she wouldn’t even allow me a credit for another room for later in the year. After speaking with her on the phone I felt really intimidated and that the last place on earth I would like to stay was her hotel. I decided to find an alternative place and lose all my money - £210. Very disappointed with Booking.com and Atholl Arms.
