Stayed in hotel for 3 days, I st class, staff excellent, a big thank you to the staff who served breakfast. Especially Tola, he is a kind and thoughtful gentleman, and a credit to your hotel, you should be proud to have him work for you, he was well mannered, and made the stay even more enjoyable.
Thank you Tola
Regards
Andrew
Reception on arrival was welcoming, with check in procedures dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Staff efficiency and courtesy continued to be expressed for the entire four days stayed here.
Hotel also provides for local tour arrangements for those wishing to avail themselves of this and would absolutely recommend if not already pre-arranged, as thew area of sight seeing is huge.
Room was very large, containing a king-sized bed with a very firm mattress. Also had bedside cabinets, a large wardrobe, table with two chairs, at which one can work from. Also had an electric jug and small refrigerator that also acted as a mini bar. A flat screen television provided a variety of local channels. CNN though is the only English-speaking channel available.
One bonus was the large number of power sockets available, including one which enabled recharging of e equipment to occur.
Bathroom was of a good size, with a very good shower over bath, that had great water pressure, as well as plentiful (very) hot water. Wonderfully (in my personal opinion), it also had face cloths. Bench space was small but adequate.
Excellent free Wi-fi.
Has an on-premises restaurant, which had a good variety of Asian and Western options at reasonable prices.
We were on a 3-week tour of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand (6 hotels). This hotel was really nice with a decent room that had a pretty tropical view of trees and foliage. Good storage space. The bathroom was nice but quite small. It was the only hotel that had a bathtub, rather than a walk-in shower that we prefer. The breakfast was average with not as good a selection as other hotels. The closed in dining area was not particularly attractive. The adjacent courtyard dining area was pretty and much nicer but it was hard to negotiate the doors from the buffet area whilst carrying food. They were kept closed with no automatic door openers. There is a lovely, pretty pool area with chair-side food and drink service and it was the first hotel where we had time to actually enjoy it. However, it was not very accessible. You had to go down a spiral staircase which was slippery when wet, as it was marble, then walk up steps to the pool. Very odd. There were also more steps into the washrooms. There was a nice, cosy bar off the ground floor courtyard. The other problem for us was the hotel location. It was not really walking distance into the town of Siem Reap. We took tuk tuks which are quite cheap but it would have been nicer to have been closer to town. There really wasn't much to see around the hotel, although there was a pharmacy and a large supermarket nearby and it wasn't too far from the local museum.
Sadly this hotel did not live up to our expectations and the reviews read pre booking . Basic rooms needing TLC but we did have comfortable bed.
Whilst a great pool area , disappointingly it loses sunlight after 3pm in December due to the positioning of the pool which is next to the 4 storey hotel building.
Breakfast was ok, coffee was terrible.
The Christmas dinner was done well - thank you for a lovely evening and the surprise visit from Santa.
The staff were pleasant and accommodating.
Overall , I would not recommend this hotel.
The Tara Angkor is a great place to stay in Siem Reap it is central to great places to eat and walking distance to supermarkets, museums etc.
The staff were fantastic with no request to small and great you either a smile each day. The facilities are very good with a pool and great bar etc , rooms were clean and up to date with the biggest bed ever.
Best thing was the staff i think.
Lovely looking hotel with dark wood features, every staff member we came across couldnt do enough to help, nice pool area, and just 10 mins from Pub Street in a tuk tuk which costs 3 usd, breakfast is lovely, we were told on arrival we had been upgraded from superior rooms to deluxe which was a lovely touch, and given a later check out for free. Highly recommend!
Great hotel in Siem Reap, nice quiet location, but only a Tuk Tuk ride to downtown. Swimming pool area large, and plenty of sunbeds and towels. Room large with a massive bed and super clean. Buffett breakfast good lots of choice for everyone but does get very busy. Staff really friendly, but if you book your own Tuk tuk, on the Grab app, the tuk tuk guys outside the hotel can be a bit rude, but tbh the app is better secure and you agree and pay via the app.
Words that sum-up the hotel experience: Clean, efficient, friendly, safe and beautiful.
A warm welcome. Staff are helpful and professional.
Lilly Lounge is one of the most disgraceful places - do not come if you need to be segregated and be excluded from discounts and BE TOLD TO sit outside even if there are seats , we were told to sit outside by the staff while 6 to 8 PEOPLE WERE STILL GOING INSIDE right infront of us. We queried and they said that “seats were available some places “ that’s why they were let in while WE STILL SAT OUTSIDE with a fan and mosquitos. HIGHLY recommend taking a grab to Pub Street and avoid this lounge at all cost
The hotel is good, but be careful when you order Room service, as these people will add TIPS in US$ from $2 - $3 without your authority. You will end up paying more as they will automatically add 15% on top of the bill for tax and service charge, which is standard and I'm happy to pay, but forging the bill to add their tips is fraud and is dishonest.
Stayed here for 2 nights. We were a bit worried after reading dinner of the previous reviews but have to say we really enjoyed our stay and it’s definitely a 4 star for Cambodia. Breakfast was great, the hotel is a little out of the main town but 10 mins in a tuktuk. Perfect place to stay for touring round the temples
I extended my stay in Siem Reap and it was the convenience, location, pricing and staff that I chose to stay with. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so polite and courteous.
The staff were friendly & fabulous 👌
We spent 3 nights at the Tara Angkor Hotel and we greatly enjoyed the stay.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The food was great. The rooms were big.
We used the gym and the massage facilities. The quality of the massage was excellent.
We special shout out to our restaurant supervisor Theara. She was so engaging and it was lovely to talk to her to learn about Cambodian life.
We highly recommend the motel, the staff and feel its worthwhile to visit Cambodia. A country with a significant history.
This is my second stay here. Everything seem like first time I've been here. The room clean, friendly staff and superb breakfast.
It's a great place ever. Room specous clean, friendly staff and good breakfast.
We can choose verities of breakfast,Asian,Western and else. They set it as buffet. Siem Reap is a must place to visit once in your life.
Great accommodation, friendly staff, great service.
Always happy to help, nothing ever problem.
Great pool and adjoining facilities.
I had to cancel due to flight issues in Vietnam. They asked for a win/win proposal and offered 50/50 split on my 200 reservations. They refused and charged me for an airport shuttle and tour; services I never received. Such a rip off. Complaint submitted to booking.com. They refused to prove hotel owner’s contact info despite several requests in writing. Way better hotels available for better price who will treat you like Family.
Wonderful stay at Tara Angkor Hotel!
From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location is perfect — just a short ride to Angkor Wat and close to everything in Siem Reap. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options. Truly a great experience — I would absolutely stay here again!
It is an okay hotel about 3 star. Furniture is a bot dated. Rooms are large and service is excellent.
You dont have to pay for water and location is good as travel is so cheap and you can easily get to where you want to
