We are huge dog fans here and selected rooms are dog friendly. Please contact us directly if you wish to bring your dog with you. A £10 per dog, per night charge will be added to your bill for additional cleaning of the room. For the comfort of our guests, please note we only accept quiet and very well-behaved dogs - should your dog show signs of aggression or is uncomfortable around other dogs or people, please do not bring them.

The staff were extremely welcoming, rooms, bar and restaurant were beautifully decorated. We received a lovely little gift for our anniversary

The Chateaubriand was superb at dinner
Breakfast was poor if you don't want a full English. The croissants were cold, stale and soggy and the granola was served with yogurt making it very heavy. You have to pay extra for a cappuccino and one morning after waiting half an hour for crushed avocado I had to ask a member of staff what had happened to my order. I was offered a complimentary cup of coffee. Why not have a self service buffet style breakfast like many hotels.
I had one night in my first room only to find out that there was no seal at the bottom of the glass shower door that hung above the edge of the bath. ( I nearly flooded the bathroom). The staff were superb and upgraded me to a better room. In fact the staff throughout were attentive, courteous and professional. They dealt with the above issues very well.
The room was beautiful with the Nespresso machine was just so welcome and comfy. Atmosphere and staff were fabulous
Very friendly staff, a beautiful room, and an excellent restaurant serving delicious breakfast and dinner. The location is fantastic, with easy access to numerous walking trails and just a short drive from Bakewell and Chatsworth House, renowned for its stunning gardens. Secure car park.

We had a lovely large room decorated with intriguing (fish with hats!) wallpaper. Dinner was exceptional - inventive, delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfast was generous and tasty. And all the staff we met were genuinely friendly not just 'hotel' friendly.
