A good value one night stop in a basic humble hotel run with passion not ambition
Pros:

The rooms were clean. The bedding was spotless. There were complimentary tea/coffee/milk/biscuit and a chocolate each in the room. A small fridge if needed.

The car park was secured by locked gates.

The breakfast was very generous & served promptly:
Cereal, toast, bacon, sausage, egg and beans and tea/coffee and orange juice.

Twin brothers run the hotel and work very hard. They are friendly and happy to chat and tell you about the history of the hotel. Good customer service.

Easy check in/out. Hallway lights work on sensors.

Cons:

The “road” around the back to the car park is narrow and lots of potholes. Need to drive slow and steady. The car park is subject to availability. We got there and it was full, so were told to park in the middle and move to let others out in the morning if necessary, which could be anytime from 7am!

Breakfast is early…..between 7 & 8:30….but it looks like contractors stay often and this works well for them.

The interior and exterior is “tired/worn” and needs some TLC. Window locks were loose, grout around the shower was black with dirt. However, when all said and done …..you get what you pay for. The breakfast in itself would cost £15-20 at any hotel!!

The property is very tired & could do with a lick of paint but I suppose this is reflected in the price you pay - ho
Pros:

The home cooked breakfast was the best part of my stay.

Cons:

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired - black mould & dirt on the window frames & the shower & shower screen screamed dirt……. So much so that I couldn’t bring myself to use it as I felt I’d come out feeling dirtier.
The pillows were so flat I thought they were pancakes.

Great value for money, will stay again.
Pros:

The staff were great, the feel of the hotel is really nice and old fashioned. Felt like a family home. Breakfast was delicious and very generous considering the price of my room.

Cons:

The shower had very low pressure and wasn’t good at mixing the hot and cold. The kettle lead was very short so I was worrying when I boiled the kettle that it was going to fall on the floor.

Had to leave within an hour
Pros:

Hotel in desperate need for renovation.
Carpets thought the property are thread bear in places and the walls, stained cracked and discoloured round windows and ceilings

All of the above could almost be ignored for the very cheap price, however the smell of damp is almost eye watering!

The tipping point for me was after a long day of meetings and training, went to run a shower and the smell of rotten eggs from the hot water almost made me throw up

The risk to my health wasn’t worth the saving in the price, I left and received a refund of less than £30
Off booking.com because the hotel refused to contact them to address this issue

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Value for money but understand why its 2 star
Pros:

Breakfast was generous and well provided for.

Cons:

Room was next to rear gate which banged against room wall, when guests arrived or left and by laundry which had reception bell. Car-parking meant double stacking and shuffling to get in and out.

“Always such a warm welcome here — the lovely guys who run it make it feel like home ❤️.”
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at The Langham Hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and go out of their way to help – they even remembered US from our visit last year, which made it feel so welcoming. The beds are comfortable, the breakfast is great, and I liked that you get everything you need – from extra towels and bedding to toilet rolls – delivered straight to your door. The room has a fridge, TV, WiFi, and good security. Overall, very practical and convenient - thanks

Cons:

It’s not the Hilton! If you want that go to the Hilton .. for US IT WAS FAB

The rooms are a bit dated, but honestly it doesn’t matter once you settle in. Everything works fine, and for the price, it’s really good value - with breakfast .. amazing
