Staff were helpful n friendly
It was in a very rundown area the room was tiny to small for two people and it was very hot the air on was very poor. The little breakfast room was very pleasant though
Air conditioning was amazing
No fridge in room nd though great location to Gare de nor train hotel is in middle of little India which is very poor food area and just past homeless area so not very safe
Noting
The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, it was leaking and they didn’t do anything about it. The bugs and insects were everywhere, the room wasn’t cleaning and the location is terrible, homeless people were everywhere and it was unsafe to walk there.
Nice pictures on the website are very deceiving it was clean but the pullout bed was horrible hard and just uncomfortable. The only thing I will say is that this place had air conditioning and was fairly clean other than but never again. We were three women alone and the neighborhood was dirty and really felt unsafe. The police sirens were many all night. We checked in at one door to and had to walk alone to another door 5 doors down past men just leering at you, then you get into the smallest elevator I have ever seen. Also, no one at the front desk in this building. It just didn’t feel safe. And then I called for more towels and front desk couldn’t have someone bring the to us because she was there alone so if we wanted more towels we had to go down the tiny elevator, walk over to the other building, walk past all the leering men in a dirty sketchy neighborhood retrieve our towels and walk past again. Also, the bathroom had a glass frosted door which even if you are with family you can see them clearly using the toilet or get a few view of the out the shower not very private. And then let me say something about the location, the neighborhood is not what people tell you about Paris there are many homeless living on the the streets or in tents, the garbage is literally all over the street it smells and again, I can not stress this again, it did not feel safe for women. We only stood for two days before I could rebook a different hotel. Never again!!
Not much
Room was tiny, bathroom minute, beds rock hard, air conditioning didn’t work, bike store not fit for purpose despite checking with the hotel. Room is in a different entrance to the main hotel surrounding area filthy dirty
Very convenient for the Gare du Nord. Staff very helpful. Found a restaurant close by which was great!
A minor point, basin was small. But was a small bathroom anyway!
AC and cleanliness
The rooms were a few doors away along the street from reception building.
The rooms were too small and tight.
The shower on suite had water leaking from a gap at bottom.
The toilet seat was loose and needs to be repaired or changed.
There is no fridge in the room which is a must.
I thought breakfast was included, then at reception they say it is not, so booking was confusing and ambiguous.
Tinha ar condicionado e a casa de banho era moderna e espaçosa
O quarto e a casa de banho não foram limpos
The staff was friendly, AC was good in the room.
The bathroom was very very small and the room was cramped.
Unfortunately, the Sure Hotel is located in a not so favourable area. But, if like me you needed to be located around here for an event/visit etc. this hotel is definitely the best place to go.
Perfectly clean room, not a single part of it made me feel uncomfortable. Very comfy bed, excellent shower pressure and temperature, plenty of wardrobe space, more than enough sockets (plug and USB A and C ports), tea, coffee, and best of all, outstanding air conditioning (it was nearly 40 degrees Celsius outside!).
If you want to go to Paris to be in Paris, stay in a nicer location. However, you are only going to stay in a place like this if you have a specific reason, or for a short stay. It therefore offers everything you need.
We stayed at the hotel for one night on our way back from Disneyland.
The hotel is located in a very deprived of Paris and the reception and the rooms are in separate buildings.
Upon check-in the receptionist was really unpleasant and not very helpful.
The room was small, which is to be expected from Paris, but it was also not cleaned to a good standard. The bathroom is separated by a frosted glass sliding door, which was extremely noisy and stiff and trying to open and close it. Plus if you put the light on in the bathroom, people in the room could see you sitting on the toilet.
The shower drain was blocked so when having a shower, the water kept spilling out from the cubicle.
The worst thing in the room though was the non working air conditioning. It was a very hot week in Europe and not having a working AC when this is something advertised as an amenity is a massive let down. The air con was on but we couldn't adjust it because there was no remote in the room. There was also no way for us to turn it off so we had to put up with warm air blowing on us and the noise of it for the night. We tried contacting reception but the phone in the room also didn't work.
Additionally, out personal details were stolen from Best western and we were contacted about it only several months later. No service recovery was offered.
I wouldn't give this place 3* it claims to be. And I would much rather pay a bit more for a safer and cleaner room with working amenities, than ever stay there again.
I would not recommend it to anyone.
