We love the location...
The 1st room we were in didn't have a refund but they moved us...also the elevator is still out of order..we have been staying there a couple of times a yesr...still broken...
Location and safe
Mattress very old and you sunk in. When neighbor flushes toilet your shower water gets boiling hot
It was a very nice place to stay. Very old and comfortable. It was clean and comfortable. It was pleasant to stay there with the old feel and old furnishings.
Beautiful, comfortable, and reasonable.
Ok
Had no handtowels, only one washcloth for 3 guests. Staff could not supply more due to unavailability.
Pull out couch mattress was falling apart and no linens available.
The staff and charm along with location and restaurant on site.
The AC in the room was very loud making it very difficult to sleep. They also need a new bed.
It was clean .
The HVAC was so loud we did not sleep well and were not able to turn it off. The fn setting choices were Auto or On.
The system made noise at all times, then became much louder when cooling. The bathroom was very small but useable. I would not recommend this room to anyone who is overweight, you will not fit in the shower stall. I understand this is a very old building making it difficult to modernize, but we slept very little due to the noise.

Hidden gem
Location, fish in the restraunt.
First off web said there was an elevater which turned out it was out of order, they tried charging us for early check in but when we complained they waived early check in fee to compensate for broken elevater. On the web our choice of room was pictured with a sofa, which there wasn't, at request we were supplied a second chair as was two of us and only one chair, but was still rather awkward and uncomfortable sitting. Tiles on bath room floor broke / coming lose which we keep scuffing on, (safety hazard). We ordered fish & chips in their restaurant, which the fish was excellent, however the meal was listed as served with cole slaw and fries, waitress told us they were out of cold slaw and didn't offer any substitute, when we suggested a substitute, even a Lil lettuce & a tomato would of done, she didn't comply, only said we weren't missing much as would've only been a small portion such as ther tarter sauce also never offered to reduce price of meal which was VERY EXSPENSIVE! ($25.) for what you got. Lastly, this wasn't the biggest issue, but perhaps worth mentioning, the carpet was stained quite badly in several places. My husband suggested it added a Lil to the old / Victorian area theme that kinda was portrayed at this hotle which was fine, so again as hotle seemed to mostly pass on cleanliness carpet wasn't that big of an issue with us but might be for someone else.
