I would recommend it
Pros:

Location, everything clean, friendly and helpful staff, they let me go to my room a couple of hours earlier because I had some online meetings. I was afraid that the construction would be noise but I didn't hear a thing.

Cons:

The property was under construction so I had to have breakfast in another location. Good things were: breakfast was in a restaurant close by, not much variety but good quality food.

Great value for money and massive room, super accomodating and exceeded the special requests
Pros:

The room was massive and the place was very accomodating and went above and beyond as me and my fiancé just got engaged, florals were out and a congratulations card. Was very thoughtful.

Not happy with my stay
Pros:

Bed was nice, water pressure excellent. Staff was friendly. The heater was able to be adjusted and heated the room well.

Cons:

There was no warning that the property is undergoing renovations. There was no TV, room service or restaurant onsite. The reception was moved. The car park needed a map to understand. The room was on a ground floor facing the street and it was noisy, at least at 8pm. There were no toiletries such as bath cap or soap. The bath towel was quite small. There was no drinking water provided in the room.

As long as it doesnt get too pricey ill keep coming back.
Pros:

The room was lovely. We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms it was very comfy and stylish, a move away from the punky retro pub feel . A good choice.

Cons:

Communication could have been better. We were told we’d have to pay for an early check in. So we declined. Then when we arrived we were queried about our early check in.

Disappointed to not be notified of the major renovations upfront.
Pros:

Room was clean. Reasonably central. Able to park on sight for $40 fee (when over the road there is a parking garage charging $20 a day).

Cons:

Hotel currently undergoing massive renovations and substantial areas are closed. Nowhere to get a coffee or food on sight as all restaurants are closed. There is a room service menu but didn’t try it as if there is no kitchen it stands to reason there is no room service.
Wasn’t informed of this renovation till the week of my stay which left no time to source another hotel (this was extremely poor communication).
Wasn’t offered anything in compensation (eg. Free parking).

I’d say if you have other options source them first.
