Shocking experience, and a ruined holiday. We didn't plan to stay there, but we were sent there by a sister hotel, as they couldn't host us. When I came to the lobby I already had a bad feeling, as it smelled like weed, and didn't seem too clean. But when we went to our room, I was shocked to see how dirty it was! Dirty matress, white stains on the table, hair and dirt in the floor, broken toilet, dirty stains everywhere, also signs of bedbugs! I checked other reviews and our fears were confirmed. Also a pile of some maintenance rubbish, just in front of the door, and loud banging of other people's doors. We refused to stay there. I had to disinfected all my belongings after spending there an hour. Absolutely unacceptable. I can't even imagine how they've got 4 stars. We couldn't find an alternative accommodation as it was the night time, so ended up returning home. Still better that staying in that place.
Great
The location
The room was tiny, dirty, hot and the photos on the website are nothing like the old beaten up version of what you really see. We asked for our money back and managed to find a really nice place just across the street. Don't waste your time going here.
Location.
Needs an upgrade
Lovely from the outside and even reception area nice. Good location to tube and hyde park all in walking distance. Kitchen amenities okay.
Reception is the only area seemed to be taken care of. Corridors smells fusty and unclean. Rooms didn’t seem very clean and everything a bit worn especially the shower. On one occasion (we’d used it before and was okay), the bathroom sink sprayed out jet black water - no exaggeration. We took photos and showed to staff member on our way out. He shrugged and said he’d try to get someone to look at it but to not drink the water. We asked if there was any bottled water we could take up as it was 32 degrees, he directed us to the Sainsbury’s round the corner.
First issue, we received an email to advise the original hotel we had booked was closed and had been moved to the sister hotel which was a further 15 minute walk away , we contacted the hotel via booking.com on Tuesday 1st July to check if we were still booked at the sister hotel, to which we were advised yes.
Friday (day we arrived) I had sent a message to the hotel again via booking.com to advise we will be arriving late due to travel from Swansea (4-5 hour journey) and they responded to advise that the reception is 24/7.
Friday evening, we arrived at the sister hotel to find that we were not booked there and that the original hotel was open and they cancelled the rooms they had booked the week before, which would have been the week commencing 23rd June 2025 (so when we had contacted on the 1st to confirm which hotel we were advised the sister hotel even though the original hotel was open and taking bookings as planned) we then made our own way to the original hotel which was a 15 minute walk with all of our luggage at 10:30pm at night and as a group of 3 girls in London we felt very unsafe and frightened.
Upon arrival at the original hotel, we checked in and went up to our room 317, to find it in horrific condition, mould in the bathroom, dirty bed sheets and mattress, kitchen surfaces and sink unhygienic, dirty stains all over the walls and the floor looked very unclean and felt we couldn’t walk on the floor barefoot. We called reception, who advised us as we were booked in the cheapest room they couldn’t offer us a better room (we paid over £400 for our stay, which is a lot of money), but they offered us a room in the basement, to which we asked if we could see first before confirming we would accept it, when we went to see the room it wasn’t in much better condition having damp on the walls, but we agreed to accept the room due to the fact that it was midnight and we had no where else to go or no money to book elsewhere.
Location was great for tube and parks, staff on blade so very polite and helpful
Very basic rooms for price , no air con or fans although fan was provided when requested but it was broken. Only one towel provided for 2 people, had to go to reception to get more. Shower not working properly, cracked tiles in bathroom. Rotten woodwork on doorframe in bathroom. Blind at window had holes in it so let light through.
I would never stop here again.. absolutely nothing Executive about these apartments
.
Unclean.. bad odours in the room. For the amount we have been charged I feel completely ripped off
Clean, good location
The first room we were given pigeons had got into the room! The hotel changed our room straight away.
The room was very hot, a fan was provided as no air con, but still very hot.
Shower head wouldn’t stay on.
Being central, close to tube station and other facilities. When coming into contact with staff they were polite and helpful.
Apartment could have been doing with a tea towel and dish cloth. Also air conditioning as it was hot.
It wasn't in a basement like last time, so fortunately, we couldn't hear the underground.
This time the room was on the top floor and the hot weather during the stay proved that a fan instead of air condition is not enough to cool the room.
The location was great and near a lot of tube stations
The rooms were quite warm but in all fairness a fan was provided even though it was quite noisy. Only one pillow per person on the bed. The blinds in the room had some very weird looking stains.
Linens were clean, great location
We were told a month ahead of our stay that our booking was being moved to a sister property. Arrived at sister property to be told it was back at original location. So not a great start. Arrived and reception area was disorganised and member of staff ignored me whilst he worked on the computer. We were then given our room (018) which was accessed by a glass walkway which was dirty - bits of wiring and bird feathers. Room had mould in the bathroom, marks on the window blind and on light switches. Smelled not fresh. There was also a leak from the skylight window so I stepped in a puddle when I got up for a wee in the night.
The bed linen and towels were spotlessly clean at least.
Room was dirty. Paint coming off the walls. They checked us out the night before we were due to leave so our keycard didn’t work when we came back at 10pm. Cockroaches in the bathroom
