Friendly staff, hotel very clean, swimming pool was lovely and very relaxing hotel
Lovely hotel but sadly only had one night there.
We had a wonderful stay at Celtic Manor! The spa services were lovely and relaxing, and the pool area was spotless. There’s a great selection of dining options on-site, we ate at The Grill and absolutely loved it. The grounds are beautiful for a walk, with plenty of space to explore and unwind. Definitely planning to come back soon!
I got there at night and parked in the Roman Road car park. There wasn’t much signposting or lighting (or I didn’t see it!) so walking to the hotel felt a little tricky as I ended up walking on the road. Thankfully it wasn’t far. There was a bit of a long queue at check in, but that was understandable as lots of us from the conference were arriving at the same time. The staff were absolutely lovely and very welcoming, which set a nice tone for the stay.
My room was on the 9th floor with a beautiful view of the ICC and the hills in the distance. The sky was clear, so the view stretched far and was stunning to wake up to. The balcony was a really nice touch, and it would have been even better with some furniture to sit out and enjoy a coffee in the morning while taking it all in. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I appreciated the robe and slippers provided. The bathroom was a great size with both a bath and a shower, and the Elemis products smelled amazing - such a lovely touch. There was only one bedside plug on the right side of the bed, which was slightly inconvenient, but overall the room felt cosy and well thought out. I didn’t get a chance to use the spa and pool myself, but friends did and spoke highly of it.
Overall this was a really enjoyable stay in a comfortable and welcoming hotel. A few small improvements like clearer signposting from the car park, extra plugs by the bed and balcony seating would make it even better! I’d happily (& probably will) stay again
You can fault the celtic what a grand place feel like a king waking up in the suite we had the marble bathroom was so good
Think the rooms could do with a little updating but i love the place
Had £318 held on bank card when email said £1. Baring in mind already paid £218 for room beforehand. Air con didn't work and nobody came to sort. Had to sleep with door open and noise from bar area kept child awake. Requested water as none in room. Waited an hour. Requested again. Nobody showed as with air con. Had to go to bar and pay £11 for water. Shame as the Parkgate(sister hotel) is great. This place looked nice but had the service of a travel lodge. Awful really
Always enjoy our trips to the Celtic Manor. A fantastic hotel / resort. Superb facilities for all the family, whilst also very relaxing as a couple. Superb room. We went for Signature King Room which was certainly worth the extra £20 for all the extras we got on what is in essence their executive children free floor (6th floor) with use of the Signature Lounge. We would certainly look to do this in future.
Staff very accommodating and helpful. Olive restaurant was clean and staff very helpful. Food was delicious with plenty of choice . We had a balcony room with fabulous views .
The staff are lovely but they are trying too hard to make up for a hotel that is clearly long overdue for investment. The service is excellent, the location is wonderful but the hotel itself is tired and showing its age in almost every area. It could be great, it’s just not.
Perfect stay, lovely room and impeccable service from staff.
Some of the areas in spa quite old .
Huge fight outside Saturday night noise was unbelievable not what was expecting
We arrived early and had afternoon tea which was pleasant except for a lack of staff. (10 mins before being approached to order) which is something i have never experienced before in a 5 star establishment.
From here the saga gets a lot worse.....resulting in a full refund ( which i am yet to recieve for some reason)
What an amazing hotel - loved the stay!
Everything was fantastic
They need water in the rooms.
Hotel was a bit tatty drinks very expensive food average spa average
Everything was top class, food, room , service the only down side was the cost of everything. So expensive!
A/C didn’t work in room
Breakfast not top grade
Top class hotel and facilities, rooms very well equipped and big
Enjoyed my stay but had a few issues with my room - light in the bathroom did not work and water pressure in the shower was low. However, the hotel overall was really lovely and I would stay again. Just make sure that you book any spa treatments in advance as these book up very quickly.
