Really lovely, just caution
Pros:

Really lovely facilities overall, everything spot on and clean. Just my only issue is the angry bartender who seemed really intimidating so kind of put us off ordering more drinks, think the name was Stevie? Thank you again though, restaurant was lovely.

Almost Perfect
Pros:

We had a family weekend away at the beginning of July as we hadn’t been able to get together over Christmas. There were 14 of us and overall we had a brilliant time. The lodges were great, spacious, clean, cosy and warm. The lakeside setting was so picturesque. The leisure facilities, gym, pool and massages were spot on and the staff in there very warm and friendly. The only downside was at the restaurant on the 2nd night. The guy on the bar was rude and offhand and the restaurant staff weren’t very friendly, which is a shame as the food was very good. Would I go back? Definitely yes, but I would probably give the bar and restaurant a miss.

Disappointing Stay – Won’t Return
Pros:

This was our second visit to Pine Lake Resort, and unfortunately, it will be our last. Our experience this time was far from the relaxing getaway we hoped for.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a bathroom that was far from clean, and the bedroom blinds were broken, which made the room feel uninviting.

What really soured the experience, though, was the treatment I received after I left behind an expensive cleanser in our lodge. I called back a few hours later the same day, and was told it was likely taken to the cleaners' room and that someone would call me the next day if it was sent up to Lost Property. When I didn’t hear back, I called again two days later, only to be told it still hadn’t turned up, but that I would “definitely” be contacted once it was located. It’s now been three weeks, and I haven’t heard a word from anyone.

I’m just grateful I didn’t leave anything more valuable, like my phone or jewellery, because it’s clear that Pine Lake Resort is not trustworthy when it comes to lost items. The lack of follow-through and communication is disappointing, especially after a second visit. We were planning to return this year, but after this experience, we will be going elsewhere.

Very disappointed, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great base to travel to local attractions, clean, cosy and comfortable.
Pros:

Lovely home from home, but around the beautiful lake with all the swans, geese and ducks for my grandson to feed, we bought lots of special food for them. The 2 bed accommodation was perfect, everything you need for a great stay, had 5 nights of varied weather, very frosty one night but the accommodation is easy to keep toasty. Used the pool several times and we booked but was fairly quiet when we went with the children, helpful staff with a few floats in the children’s pool, we did take plenty of pool toys. Used the restaurant for takeaway which was very good, we ordered and picked up within 15 minutes. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We hadn’t requested a bath but the walk in shower was good, we borrowed a baby bath from them to use for children which worked well. We cooked a roast dinner one evening, local Aldi and Booths in Carnforth… 4 minutes drive away, meant we could get all our provisions so didn’t take any food supplies with us. There’s a full fridge/ freezer so full facilities. Thanks to all the staff.

Great for a break!
Pros:

First time visitor and was pleasantly surprised. The studio we booked was perfectly adequate for the 2 of us. We ate in the restaurant 1 night and the portions are very generous (watch that waistline) and good quality. Drinks prices are what you'd expect, not cheap but not horrendous.
This is a great base from which to explore places like the Lake District, Lancaster, Kirkby Lonsdale etc, all within an easy drive, not sure about public transport but Carnforth is only 5 minutes away with it's great Station where Brief Encounter was filmed.
The studio itself was spacious and clean. The furniture is a bit caravan-y so not totally comfortable. There is a microwave but we didn't really use it. There is a filter coffee pot and even filter coffee with milk, which is a nice touch. The TV is limited to 6 channels but you can stream your YouTube to it and also your Netflix account etc. there's also a DVD player.
Bathroom is ok with a shower and bath. Bit awkward to sit on the loo as it's so close to the door. Everywhere was very clean.
I did find the bed a bit hard to be honest but others may have found it just right.
Was a bonus that the pool and sauna etc were free of charge. There's also a jacuzzi in there which was great.
Due to the time of year there were very few in, probably gets crowded in the warm months.
As the weather was cold and very wet on the day of arrival we didn't really maximise the lake etc. which is a pity because I love wildlife.
All in all, I really enjoyed my short break here and would go again.

Studio Wowcher deal
Pros:

We bought a two night stay in a studio with Wowcher. The studio was unclean with leaves on the floor and stains on the chair. There was a strong smell of bleach. When we asked the staff we were informed it was "mold spray." The staff were unapologetic and said we would have to sort this out with Wowcher. We weren't given another lodge to stay in as none were available.

My Happy Place
Pros:

A big thank you for my 5th wonderful stay at Pine Lakes in 18 months. I am also visiting in December and have booked a gift for my daughter and her husband in March. We always stay in a 2 bedroom lodge. Our stays have been varied of between 2 and 5 nights with either parents in law, friends or granddaughters. The latter have visited twice, both last and this October for three nights.

I can only commend the staff their support for my two granddaughters who are neurodiverse; one aged 10 with ADHD the other aged 7 with high functioning autism. So.... they are always 'on the go!' On arrival they were made to feel part of the check in process by Vicky (who was also my first point of call last October for the girls) and throughout nothing was too much trouble. Can I also say "thank you so much" for the requested lakeside lodge which was a few lodges away from the one they stayed in last time. They did notice the different layout, but we manoeuvred that well with no 'meltdowns'. Also a thank you to Selina and Danielle who have responded promptly to messages and helped so much to manage bookings from a frantic grandma.
Both granddaughters enjoys Pine Lake so much, but my 7 year old likes to give a picture to reception to say "thank you!" I hope it was seen by you all?

I call Pine Lake my new 'happy place.' So much so that if I am not in Sydney for my birthday in June seeing my daughter; I will be booking 5-7 lodges for family in June for my 60th.

I find Lakeside helps the children remain 'grounded'. If they become agitated or heightened we can sit on the veranda and watch the lake, feed the wildlife. We always take a couple of bags of wild bird seed and check on avian sites what fruit can be eaten and give these too. A sort of Swan, Geese, coot, duck etc. lesson. In fact they named one goose Feather another Dave and a swan Billy Eilish. Do not ask me!

The lodge was lovely as usual; all amenities I find above and beyond: beds have Hypno mattresses and so comfortable, bedding spotless, towels white and ample for 6 people staying, there is a sofa bed, but I have never tried it, ample crockery, cutlery, glasses, oven dishes and pans. Coffee maker and a couple of fresh coffee pouches, a few tea bags and salt/ pepper and milk to settle you in. Loo rolls, hand, shower, and moisturiser in dispensers, kitchen rolls, dish soap in a dispenser, 2 dishwasher tablets and waste bags are enviro friendly. There is a full size fridge and freezer. I have used the dishwasher, but not the washing machine. There were 2 clothes rails and there is a laundry near the leisure centre too.

This visit there was a microwave fault. It was remedied within the hour by Sharon and a very pleasant maintenance gentleman. Last visit there was a leak on the toilet pan in the main bathroom and maintenance came that morning. Yes, there is a second loo, which is a bonus! Plenty of storage and a walk in shower this time rather than a shower over the bath which was a blessing. I requested this for next visit as parents in law may be with me. Request has already been actioned.
This is the only place I have stayed where I have not been compelled to anti bac before I use a loo, unpack clothes and use the fridge.

The grandchildren love the small amusement arcade and play area. There is pool and free table tennis. A nice seating area for parents/ carers to sit. I personally like the 2p push machines and the air hockey goes down a treat. Can I add that the soft play area is cleaned regularly too and the public facilities are well maintained and clean.

Our meals in the restaurant were also good. We always spend one day on Pine Lake and book the restaurant; go to the boat house and watch the speedboats and skiing, there is a banana boat that looks fun, have a coffee, a beer and sit.

The leisure centre has a 1.5m pool, a small pool for the little ones, a steam room and jacuzzi. Free on your stay. I like to book in with Claire for some treatments. Last time was the specials package of 3 treatments for £45. The same this time and the granddaughters had the Princess nail treatments with Claire too. Can I say "thank you Claire" for my much needed facial, back and shoulder massage on Tuesday. See you in December.

Picture perfect peaceful resort !!!
Pros:

We have just returned from a very relaxing 3 day stay in a front facing lake view lodge. The location of our lodge was perfect and only a 5 minute walk from the bar and restaurant. Everything was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. We ate in both the restaurant and the bar, food and drinks all reasonably priced. All staff were very helpful and friendly, the entire resort is very well maintained and great location for visiting other areas and attractions. We would highly recommend this lovely resort especially if you just want peace and relaxation. We will definitely be returning.

A beautiful restbite place perfect for Sen families also 💖
Pros:

This is my honest review , came to bring my autistic daughter for a break also my bday and restbite , I fell in Iove when I seen this place on bookings.com so excited to come, we was greated with smiles and warm welcome . But told I must pay a deposit so please be aware you have to pay £100
Deposit you get back but not untill the following week. I know many families are struggling atm so be aware as it’s only written in the terms & conditions not the main booking page,

We arrived into our little lodge and absolutely loved it the bed was huge my gosh was it comfortable, I had recently been in a car accident and felt I could actually sleep as the pillows are so comfortable, the place was spotless, the only thing I didn’t like was the microwave oven in one I had no manual no idea to use 🤣 however the actual lodge has all you need love how organised it was .

We did get takeout from in the lodge brasserie the food was lovely and value for £ easy to order from your room and go and collect. You do also have an onsite shop for essentials local Tescos so this was helpful also I can’t carry much I also found the shop prices amazing.

My girl loved hazel who worked at the Pool it’s also lovely and warm clean , hazel helped with our assist dog and helped me calm my girl 🙏💖

***Dogs are not allowed however assist dogs are .
Rosie was cleared by management prior to arrival,

The lake omg the lake what a beautiful calming place we went early at sunrise and it was so beautiful truly appreciated this peace ☮️

I can honestly say if you need a rest this is the place the value it was on bookings also was amazing perfect for Sen families I actually feel I got rest bite, we want to come back in the summer , I don’t agree on the comments on here with the place was unclean it was spotless everywhere,

Great short stay
Pros:

Stayed here for a short visit en route up to Lake District and had a lovely stay. I booked last minute through Expedia for 1
Adult and 2 kids, we got a great deal for a 2 bedroom lodge. I requested a lake view and we were given one just slightly back from the lake but close enough. Check in was quick and easy.

Ate in the restaurant for dinner, food was good quality. Slightly expensive but didn’t mind paying as food was nice, and staff were friendly.

Use of swimming pool was free, we used that in the morning. Nice clean pool with jacuzzi and sauna.

Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Pros:

Only had need of one night. Restaurant, bar and reception friendly and helpful. Lodge well equipped though could do with more instruction (heating was a faff). A bit tired and chairs/ sofa not very comfortable. Main issue was proximity to main road and railroad. Could do with better glazing.

Pros:

Very cute lodging. This is a resort with individual cabins. Ours was right by a huge lake, tranquil and teeming with swans and waterfowl. A friendly swan greeted us when we parked.

Parking was very easy and right in front of our cabin, providing very easy access for our bags. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The little cabins were well stocked and clean, with heaters to protect from the cold/rain/wind. Love it and would 100% recommend. So cozy and nice.
