Bathroom was very cramped with the shower enclosure having to be open to use the toilet.

SLUGS
Pros:

The receptionist was nice and helpful and the beach/ town centre is in a walking distance.

Cons:

Very shocking experience. Cracked sink, mould damage, wall cracks, but... Most seriously, there were slugs in the room during the night, which made the accommodation very unhygienic. Outside: Not enough parking space. Weed was growing out of the walls and roof. Lots of rubbish just outside the hotel. Pictures uploaded here must have been taken decades ago.
Hotel next to this where we spent the night before, was at the same price and a whole different world...

Pros:

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. the room was clean and stocked. the pool and sauna are so good for value, not to forget about the games room, with a pool table and darts board. all in all, as someone who staying in lots of hotels, especially in the area, this really is a hidden gem. it’s so good we’ve extended 4 time already 😂. 10/10 recommend.

Pros:

Location

Cons:

When we arrived there were no parking spaces so had to park down the road.
Our room was up the stairs and through 3 doors and hallways that smelt really bad of drugs. Got to the room and the carpet was very dirty and smelly. Wanted the window open but the smell of drugs was strong so we went out until late thinking it would be ok. The garden was terrible, overgrown and even though they advertised a jacuzzi and outdoor pool, they were closed and couldn't get to them anyway. The indoor pool was closed at 7pm so we weren't able to use it as we had just eaten then it didn't open till 10am which is check out time. Never known a hotel to have early close and late opening for a pool.
The back terrace is a nice space but needs a lot of tlc, wooden furniture crumbling but a great view until you look down and see an unkept garden. The lounge is a lovely space. Probably the best part. Other areas downstairs looked like a storage space.
On checkout the shutter was down with no one to talk to about our time so we signed a book that was left on a little table and only knew about it cause another guest told us.
This place could be such a lovely hotel with a little time and management but it's like they are leaving it to rack and ruin, making a quick buck before knocking it down.
Would definitely not stay here again even if half the price.

A comfortable and welcoming stay in a great location with lovely, helpful staff.
Pros:

I liked the comfortable en-suite rooms, the tea and coffee facilities, the friendly and helpful reception staff, and the great location in Torquay. Parking was also convenient, as there were plenty of spaces available nearby even when the hotel car park was full.

Cons:

There wasn’t really anything that affected my stay — I found the hotel comfortable, welcoming, and well located for what I needed.
