All the food we received was excellent
All of the staff regardless of their position went the extra mile. The overall service level was excellent.
Friendly staff and service
Air conditioning wasn't functioning properly.
Very clean and good value for money.
Breakfast was very good. Reception staff were lovely. The room was spacious, clean and very practical. The gardens were delightful even though the weather was not conducive to walking in them. Dinner was enjoyable except for one incident which is described below.
On the second night we were there, we went to dinner having made a reservation the night before on the advice of the Maitre 'd, Head Barman or whatever his title/position was. He had been both helpful and courteous. Upon arrival in the bar/ restaurant, we made ourselves known, quoted our name and room number (012) but were informed that we could not have the table we expected and had the night before as it was only for guests on a certain package and we could sit towards the back and side of the room. We told both the waiter and his supervisor behind the bar that it was not acceptable and we would like the table we had reserved. The attitude of the gentleman hiding behind the bar was less than pleasant and the waiter was told to remove the cutlery and glasses from the table, for what reason, I know not. We were told, again in a rather high-handed manner that we could have that table and two knives, forks and napkins were virtually thrown at us, upside down!! My wife duly complained to the reception lady (Australian, Antipodean??) who once again was helpful, if somewhat horrified and said she would investigate. I'm afraid it very much put a dampener on the evening in particular and the stay in general. We had been at a family funeral earlier that day and it was a disappointing way to be treated especially as we spent almost £300 on food and drink.
Good location,friendly staff .

Elegant Hotel
Nothing
Beautiful hotel with excellent facilities
There was a loud humming noise from some kind of generator which never went off and kept me awake. Also there was only one sachet of coffee in the room.
The hotel is spotless, rooms tidied every day and breakfast is great value.
Rooms can be a bit of a trek from reception with multiple up and down sets of stairs on some floors. Otherwise great!
