Stunning location, spacious accommodation and excellent facilities.
Pros:

Fantastic break, lovely spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Massive sofa bed of excellent quality. More than enough space for a family of 5.

Facilities were excellent, kids loved the mini golf and table tennis. Lovely tennis court and multi sports court. Large warm swimming pool, with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room for over 16's.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the apartment was spotlessly clean.

Beautiful surroundings, we will definitely stay here again.

A pleasant no hassle weekend away
Pros:

First time at Wychinor Country Club We had travelled as a family to enjoy a week end break and had a lovely time Accommodation was a self contained cottage very nicely appointed in the former walled garden very quaint situated in the stunning Staffordshire countryside We had use of the heated pool and sauna and dining room which was of a very high standard All staff members we met were friendly very pleasant and extremely helpful contrary to some less than complimentary reviews I had read and I would have no hesitation in returning and would highly recommend to others

Family break ruined by rude staff
Pros:

I have been debating whether to write this as I usually don't like to make a fuss. I booked a 2 night family stay as a last minute getaway for my husbands birthday. Upon arrival the grounds are beautiful and well kept. We were all really excited. We all went in to check in and I was impressed that they had a "autism friendly" sign on the door. My middle child is autistic and can get anxious in new places. My husband took him to the sofa in reception and was sat with him to keep him calm while I checked us in. As soon as I approached the desk I got a frosty reception. No smiles just very factual. My son started to sing loudly and you could see my husband visibly trying to calm him down and reassure him everything is fine when the older lady behind the desk shouted across reception asking him to be quiet. This agitated my son, but neither my husband or myself said anything as to not make a scene. We both tried to reassure him to calm down. In this time 2 older ladies came to check in and were talking very loudly to the point that the second lady at reception, Lucie could not hear what I was saying. They were kindly asked to move to the bar area to wait (completely different interaction). Then Lucie, shouted across reception asking my son to be quiet bare in mind there was no other guest present. This agitated my son so he began to run around the reception area. Once we managed to check in and calm him down my husband raised that the reaction to my son was a little over the top considering that there wasn't any one else there. No apology or remorse from Lucie.
This started our break on a sour note. We were in apartment 35. Very well kept and clean facilities, except when my husband was going to sleep on the sofa bed, the mattress was very stained and a large insect ran out of the bedding cupboard. This put him off so myself, my toddler and my husband slept on the double bed while my other 2 children had the single beds in the other room.
Staff in the leisure centre were lovely and very welcoming when we went for a swim.
I returned to reception on saturday morning to ask about walking routes. Lucie was at reception again and again, no smile and was actually rude to myself this time. Saying that I "can't walk around the fields". After some probing she reluctantly pulled out a sheet with directions for a few walks around the area. I don't understand why she couldn't give that information at the start without making me feel like I was asking a stupid question.
We checked out on Sunday and the lady at reception was a breath of fresh air. I wish I asked her name but she had a slight european accent. She was absolutely lovely, even showed us a map of the grounds and I only then realised there was a play area on site. We managed to take the kids there to play before we set off.
In summary, I don't believe you are autism friendly as the staff members were very insenisitve to my son. I am very visibly muslim as I wear a hijab and I honestly do feel that this was a factor in how I was treated.
Its a shame as the resort overall is lovely and we would have loved to return but will not now.

Beautiful grounds and room, staff were amazing
Pros:

Loved this place. Beautiful grounds, friendly and professional staff, rooms were really spacious, clean and well equipped. Lovely views from both the rooms and outside, with a really nice little golf course outside. Quiet and relaxing and nice little activities like the crazy golf and spa. Restaurant was absolutely fabulous, although slightly on expensive side. Loved it

Great holiday but very unreliable WiFi access
Pros:

Good, but small things could make it the best place nearby. The accommodation is very clean, updated and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine and toaster. Plenty of crockery/cutlery and good quality utensils. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are spacious. The check in was friendly reassuring and efficient. The grounds are lovely and well tended. The gym, sauna and pool are all fine. The one area that is sorely lacking is WiFi- it is unreliable - cuts out frequently and means you can’t work/stream/ or even scroll on your phone/devices when you want or need to - I am always surprised by the lack of attention to this at Diamond resorts generally given that this is a necessity not a luxury in living today. Please address as a matter of urgency. I couldn’t even access the accommodation/resort’s online information pages which are all held online!

Wonderful staff made our stay perfect
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Wychnor Park. Our apartment was well-presented and equipped, and the hotel's setting is beautiful, but it was really the people who stood out for us. Particular mention needs to be made of Tracy and Marie who were so friendly and accommodating, and did everything they could to make my son's birthday special. Thank you for helping him to make memories he will treasure for a lifetime, I can't tell you how much we appreciated it.

Nice Stay, Expensive Food, Drinks!!
Pros:

We visited here a couple of weeks ago and it was a very nice enjoyable stay, Kids had plenty to do activities keep them busy, the house was lovely and clean.
The lady at the leisure centre was lovely very chatty.
When we checked out there was a lady at the desk with dark hair who looked very miserable.

Couple of negatives, we went for a light lunch in the pub just 2 adults 2 young children sandwich and some fries cost a total of 97.00 which I couldn't believe and they put a service charge on as well just to bring food to the table I couldn't believe this and there was no sign explaining a service charge, which we did ask them to take off, a pint of blackcurrant and soda was 4.50 so 9.00 for 2 pints of blackcurrant and soda again I think they make the prices up and wont be going back in there again, we will make sure we bring our own food and drinks with us in future!

An average hotel that lacks essentials
Pros:

A hotel with some good facilities but lacks essentials such as water pressure or in both showers (en suite and main) or coffee, even though a coffee machine is provided (but no beans or ground coffee).

Gym / Pool does not open until 8:30am and is adults only between 0830 and 0930 which is not ideal if travelling with children. Checkout is at 1000.

The hotel is situated down a single tiny lane which is around a mile long. Car damaged on overhanging branches and bushes (scuffs from twigs).

Decided to cook at home. There is a freezer with frozen meals (like a cooks freezer) but includes bulk cooked meals which are single portion. Kids Mac and Cheese is ~£10. Would’ve welcomed a cooks style lasagna for family for 4 as no local supermarkets.

No breakfast options available.

Apartment was not clean, dirty kitchen surfaces and floors. Needs a good deep clean. Dusty and hair in various locations.

Shame, this could’ve been great but it’s just rough around the edges.

Pool lady was amazing
Pros:

Overall a very pleasant stay. Being charged £2 for a towel in the pool was not expected and should have been FoC mind you. However the lady working reception in the pool was lovely and delivered an excellent customer experience

Pros:

Overall it was OK, but I wouldn't recommend it. The property is somewhat old. And the facilities it has aren't really enticing. The gym is tiny and old, and has barely any equipment. The steam room wasn't working properly, and the sauna wasn't very hot. The crazy golf course needs a good clean really. The restaurant was OK/average. The grounds are kind of nice, but imo aren't worth it

Fabulous place to stay for peace and quiet
Pros:

Facilities were great and accommodation was really clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and there was plenty of space for us all.

We could access the marina and national arboretum within about 10-15 minutes and there are local walks planned out for those who want to explore the local area.

Definitely eat in the bar/restaurant as the food and staff are amazing
