Disappointing, the hotel itself is nice but as i travel a lot around the country and stay in different hotels for my wor

Peaceful location and in general it was clean and tidy.

Cons:

The bar food…. OMG I used to stay here regularly one time and when I ventured back recently at ate at in the bar it reminded me why I chose other hotels. The Bar food is miserable and the person who’s acting as a chef is fooling no one but himself. Shocking standards and the prices are well up there to make matters worse . WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

Pros:

Modern amenities. Hotel set within a well maintained golf course with a long sweeping entrance allee. Very calm surroundings after motorway journey from Dublin.

Great breakfast with friendly lady . Made you feel welcome.

Cons:

A bit difficult to find as the hotel looks close to the motorway but is in fact on a parallel road.. but worth the detour.

Great rural break just outside Dublin. Would return.
Pros:

Great grounds and surrounding area. Comfortable rooms and lounge areas. Lovely staff.

The dinner menu was a bit pub grubby although the steak was very nice.

Lovely grounds and staff

Cons:

Terrible breakfast - no pastries whatsoever and most of hot food run out 1 hour before breakfast was due to finish - even though there were very fee guests!
Dinner was excellent but lunch was also terrible - obviously a different chef.
