Family getaway in Richmond
Pros:

It was the nicest place that I have stayed in a long time. My grandchildren absolutely LOVE D the pool. We took late check out for a morning swim. Breakfast was great with many excellent choices. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to staying here next time that we are in Richmond

Pros:

The rooms were very roomy, the pool was nice for the kids and the breakfast was convenient.

Cons:

Some wear and tear around the edges mainly in the bathroom. A ripped wood flooring plank in the living room wasn’t ascetically pleasing.

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Traveling with my children made it even more upsetting. From the start, we were placed in the wrong room with no sofa, despite that being what we booked. Even after being moved, the front desk continued to insist I booked a different room type.
The room was clearly not cleaned. There was a sex toy left in plain sight, which is completely unacceptable, especially with children present. The pull-out sofa mattress was heavily soiled, there were no blankets provided, and it was unusable. The bed mattress itself was also very hard and poor quality, making it difficult to get any real rest.
The bathroom was just as bad. The shower looked like it was falling apart, with the vinyl just sitting on top of the shower pan. My kids were so uncomfortable they didn’t even want to shower. We ended up laying a towel down in the shower just to feel okay using it because the cleanliness of the hotel was so questionable.
While the staff was polite, the situation was not taken seriously and no meaningful resolution was offered. For the price we paid, this experience was unacceptable and far below even basic standards.

The location was great for sporting event.

Cons:

They didn’t have any towels for the pools. We had to use our shower towels and when we asked for new shower towels, we were told they didn’t have any. That was very frustrating when you have kids playing sports and then in the pool. They need towels.

The size of the room

Cons:

Everything else. The room wasn’t cleaned properly (lots of unidentifiable stuff on the floor), shower was broken, wooden floor had missing spots were dirt and leftover from other guests remained - all of these are true hazards with a baby. Night lady wasn’t welcoming at all. One of the elevator wasn’t working properly, traveling from the 2nd, to 1st floor and back to 2nd without opening the door, staying stuck without response for a minute and moving after pushing the same button 5 times etc. Breakfast disappointing. I don’t understand the great reviews of this place.

Location was good. Bed was comfy. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

The refrigerator wasn't that cold. Then there was an old rotisserie chicken bag in the fridge which was gross.

It felt dirty and smelled odd. The bed was okay but not very comfortable. The staff at check in was very unfriendly, barely acknowledging me and was very flippant.

Pretty good location

Cons:

First there was no soap in the room. I had to go to the front desk to pick it up. Also the breakfast area was filthy, we bypassed 3 tables because they had not been cleaned. Finally the coffee was awful, it looked like dirty water. I know it was from a machine but it seemed like there was no coffee in the machine. Mentioned it to some staff but they didn’t do anything about it
