Had a wonderfully positive experience here during a recent trip for work with several of my colleagues.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms very extremely clean and spacious.
A special shout out to Director of Sales, Indira Naidu, who made our stay such a positive experience. Ms. Naidu helped coordinate our unplanned early checkin, ensured we had everything we needed in the middle of a blizzard, helped organize meetings rooms and food during the blizzard despite the entire county being under travel restrictions. She even went out of her to ensure that we had choices for breakfast to meet our dietary needs. Indira's hospitality was the highlight of our stay. Thank you so much Indira!

Had a really great stay at this hotel! Everything from the rooms to the service was top-notch. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a very welcoming vibe throughout.

A special shoutout to the hotel manager Indira; super friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful. It’s always nice when someone goes the extra mile to make guests feel comfortable, and they definitely did that.

We had a business trip with about 8 people from my company and another 10 from large university client. Indira Naidu helped us greatly with the arrangements including reservations at the CIA. Indira's hospitality helped since one of our guests had four show dogs using in movies and magazine shoots. Some of our clients stayed over for an extra night to enjoy the hotel and surroundings.

Hotel management was very helpful during snow storm hotel director Indira helped us a lot, be it bringing indian home food keeping track of all is well. Thanks indira for your help. You guys Rock

The team also paid special attention to dietary needs, ensuring there were suitable options available during the hot breakfast each morning.

I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Poughkeepsie in February 2026 for a business trip, and the experience was truly outstanding—especially given the severe blizzard snowstorm at the time.

Despite the extreme weather, the hotel was very well organized. All arrangements were handled smoothly, and the staff ensured guests were safe, comfortable, and well informed throughout. It was impressive to see such calm and professional management during challenging conditions.

A special and heartfelt thanks to Indira Naidu, who was an exceptional host. She went far beyond her regular duties to make us feel at home. What really stood out was that she took an extra step and prepared homemade Upma for us, which was incredibly thoughtful and comforting—especially during the snowstorm. This level of personal care is rare and truly memorable.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well suited for business travel. Overall service, amenities, and the welcoming atmosphere exceeded expectations.

It was a great experience, and I would love to visit and stay here again and again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area—whether for business or leisure—especially if you value genuine hospitality.

As travel buddies for over 50 years, my best friend and I have had the opportunity to stay at many places over the years; and our stay at The Hampton Inn at Poughkeepsie was one of our favorites.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a giant smile and a welcoming “Director of First Impressions”- (my title)- Miguel; to the spacious and clean room, to the variety and quality of the free breakfasts, as well as the well- lit parking lot and clean exterior, it was more than we expected. And it was a great value.
I loved the ease of checking in on the app. I was able to view the floor plan, pick our room, and got a digital key within seconds.
Every member of the staff was warm and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had what we needed, from extra towels to warm water for a late afternoon cup of tea, to a friendly greeting every time we returned to the hotel.
We cannot say enough about Miguel who truly made us feel like the most important guests ever! A big shout out to Peter who made our last-minute change of plans work for our reservation and Alyson, who humbly gave credit to her colleagues when we shared our experiences upon checkout.
We will be sure to stay here again when we return to the area.

Easy check in/out process. Decent breakfast, good coffee, friendly staff. Good price.

The location for us was good.
For the price it was decent.
