Afternoon Tea - Anniversary present
Pros:

We were given a voucher for afternoon tea at Oakley Hall for our 25th anniversary so decided to use it today - my birthday . The food was beautiful, and we were offered boxes to take home what we couldn't eat (due to being full up!) We were looked after so well by the lovely Chloe who went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely and memorable experience. We would highly recommend and just a huge thank you to the lovely Chloe.
Many thanks, Martin and Luke, Andover.

WOW.........!!!!
Pros:

Wow..............After all the great reviews & living locally thought we would give it a go.
Luxury Hotel with great reviews shown on Facebook as Best Sunday lunch in Hampshire !!

This is our take :-

Ordered drinks, then food.............all good.

Waited sometime before the starters arrived without wine or drinks !!

Tempura Prawn starter = Deep fried prawn balls .....no Tempura in sight !!

Duck ceaser salad = Lettuce brown on the edges and very much doubt from the kitchen garden !! bottle garlic sauce........!!

Parmesan crisps..............More like crips breads or melba toast broken into little bits...........No cheese smell or taste !!

Roast Beef = one slice .... yes just one slice of normal beef, NO PINK in sight !!
Thyme & Garlic roast potatoes............No comment............!!!!

Cauliflower cheese.......served in what we could only describe as a cereal bowl.........DONT WASTE £6.00 extra ......you would have more taste from a roasted Wotsit !!!

This is just our review and I am sure many will disagree but this was the review of our Sunday lunch on the 17th May 2026.

60th Birthday Celebration Ruined
Pros:

Completely ruined my 60th Birthday. Booked a Sunday lunch on 26th April 2026 for 4 adults & 2 children. Front. Start to finish it was a complete disaster. Staff are clueless & incompetent and are in desperate need of training. The management was not at all helpful and wasn't at all interested in sorting our concerns out. It would take me all day to list the terrible events of the day, but Im sure if they read this review, they will know exactly the family concerned. Thanks Oakley Hall for making my 60th Birthday Celebration and complete disaster! If I could score a zero, I would!

Take your own shower gel and shampoo
Pros:

Very friendly staff

Cons:

The shower had no bracket to put the 2nd shower head high up....instead of using the rain shower. Body wash and shampoo weren't good for a hotel of this standard.....take your own !!

A very expensive mistake!
Pros:

Beautiful setting, large & comfortable rooms.

Cons:

We were not warned that there was a wedding event. Understandably this a raucous affair, with loud music, shouting & movement outside the room late into the night. We were there for a ‘quiet’ weekend and so were (from our perspective) disappointed. We left before midnight & sacrificed our room charge to escape home. I’m sure it’s a great wedding venue but not for those looking for a quiet escape. Disappointed.
