Enjoyable, clean rooms, friendly staff, cheap 2 night stay!
Pros:

I stayed in room 207, which has a view of both the pool and the road. My friends stayed in 206, which viewed the road. I did ask for a room in the main hotel, based on reading other reviews, the hotel also accommodated for having my friends on the same floor. My friends had booked as a “mystery holiday” and I tagged along, the price was fantastic for two nights.

The room itself was large and clean, the bed was comfortable and the balcony was nice to sit outside on.

There are safe’s available in the rooms that you can use for free and a small fridge, great for if you’ve bought drinks or snacks you wish to keep cool. There was a TV, although limited English channels but that was to be expected. There is also a wall mounted hairdryer in the room however I did not need to use it.

The pool, although we did not use it having travelled in February looked nice as were the sun loungers which we did use the afternoon we arrived.

We didn’t book a breakfast so can’t comment on that, however the location is fantastic, with lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and bars a short walk.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us into our room an hour early as it was ready. We had a couple small requests which seemed no bother.

The hotel was quiet during our February stay. The location feels safe being next door to the police station.

The C1 train into Malaga cost £3.15, you can tap your Apple Pay or card at the gate for entry, hop on the train and tap it again when you get off and it charges you the following day for your journey. It’s approx a 10-15 minute walk to the train station from the hotel. The taxi we used to and from the airport cost £30 each way (uber).

As for local recommendations, we had a great night at Chrissy’s Irish gastopub and a lovely meal at Bollywood Indian Restaurant both a short walk from the hotel.

Cons:

The only real faults id say is that the bath in room 207 as suggested by other guests did need updating as the coating was flaking off and the lamps are hanging off the wall and have to be carefully positioned however neither of these really mattered to me as the room was otherwise clean and comfortable.

Also on departure day my room key stopped working at 11:00hrs (check out is 12:00hrs) after popping to my friends room to grab something. I was locked out for 15 minutes while this was sorted which isn’t really a big deal but for other travellers to be aware.

A small note is that there was a fair amount of traffic noise on the morning from bin lorrys, which some may be bothered by. Also whilst I personally loved the sound of the parakeets which live in the tree next to room 207, if this would bother you it may be worth asking for an alternative room as they are quite loud!

A kettle available to hire would have been touch for us brits who love a cup of tea, but I had packed my own so no real bother !
