The hotel is selling rooms it doesn't have. first the receptionist couldn't find my reservation - as if they hadn't noticed that it had been made. I booked a sea view room for 328 euros for two days. I brought my dog ​​because the hotel allows dogs. Upon arrival, I discovered I didn't have the room I booked and was offered a very poor room, which was left because mine was no longer available. The hotel doesn't have parking, because even if you book, there may be no spaces. The sea view also overlooks a gas station. The service was very unprofessional and rude. I spent time at the reception desk only to find out my room wasn't available. Not worth the price and a 4-star rating.

We had a great stay at Hotel Brancamaria. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or requests. The breakfast offered a good variety and was a pleasant way to start the day.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. While the room felt a little outdated in terms of décor, it was clean and functional. The hotel also offers private parking, which was convenient.

Cons:

The main downside is the location. Although it’s only about a 15-minute downhill walk to Cala Gonone town centre and the port, the walk back uphill can be quite tiring, especially after dinner or a long day out. The hotel provides a shuttle service, which is appreciated, but the operating hours could be improved. The first shuttle is at 9:00 am, which is too late if you have an early boat tour departing around 8:00 am. Similarly, the last shuttle is at 7:00 pm, meaning that if you go into town for dinner and don’t want to drive, you’ll need to walk back uphill.

Another point worth mentioning is that several services come with additional charges. Parking costs €15 per day, which is understandable, but there are also fees for things like beach towel rental (€3 for the stay) and luggage storage (€3), which can make the stay feel a bit less inclusive.

An absolutely unforgettable stay made perfect by incredibly friendly staff, stunning views.
Pros:

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Hotel Brancamaria! From the moment we arrived, the reception team was amazing and made us feel so welcome.
We booked most of our activities directly through the hotel and I highly recommend doing so. A massive shoutout to our skipper, Luka, who took us on an incredible boat tour. He made sure everything was super safe while keeping it incredibly fun, taking us only to the best, most beautiful secluded spots!
Also, a special mention to our driver, Mario. He was genuinely the friendliest person we’ve met (apart from the amazing hotel staff, of course!). We absolutely love Mario!
If you are visiting Sardinia, definitely stay here. We had the best time!

Cons:

One small thing that could be improved is the shuttle bus timing to town. I wish it ran a bit later maybe until 9 PM so guests could easily get a shuttle back to the hotel after having dinner in town otherwise it's a 15-20 min trek back to the hotel with a full belly :)

Wir können das Brancamaria nur wärmstens empfehlen.
Pros:

Als Wiederholer können wir nur sagen, alles topp und unverändert wie im letzten Jahr. Service, Frühstück, die Qualität der Speisen, der tolle Pool, die hauseigene Bootstour zu den schönen Stränden am Golf von Orosei, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir waren wieder mal hellauf begeistert. Lieben Dank an Salvatore aus dem Service und an unseren Bootsguide Luca. Ihr macht einen tollen Job.

Pros:

Stuff was super welcome and helpful! Location was good, hotel is clean.

Cons:

Breakfast was poor a bit, we used to come for breakfast in a different time and plates were half of full empty. Shower cabin in our bathroom was super small and water is not enough warm.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Hotel Branca Maria in Cala Gonone und können dieses Hotel von Herzen weiterempfehlen.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das unglaublich liebevolle, herzliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Man spürt hier echte sardische Gastfreundschaft. Alle Mitarbeiter waren stets freundlich, aufmerksam und haben dazu beigetragen, dass wir uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen und wohlgefühlt haben.
Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und völlig ausreichend, um gut in den Tag zu starten. Die Lage des Hotels ist ebenfalls hervorragend: Von hier aus lassen sich viele wunderschöne Orte Sardiniens entdecken. Ob Ausflüge ins beeindruckende Supramonte-Gebirge, Touren entlang des Golfs von Orosei oder auch weiter entfernte Ziele – alles ist sehr gut erreichbar.
Was uns jedoch am meisten in Erinnerung bleiben wird, ist die Herzlichkeit dieses Hauses. Diese besondere Atmosphäre hat unseren Urlaub unvergesslich gemacht und wir nehmen viele schöne Erinnerungen mit nach Hause.
