Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor. Service by Joanne Bordes was spectacular.
Chef Northan, did a great job of taking care of me and my colleague and made us really feel important. I also noticed him giving special attention to someone who came close to the end. He went out of his way, to fix her omelets . He's a great staff addition.
I haven’t even arrived for my stay yet, but I wanted to take the time to publicly thank Daniel (front desk/reservations/customer delight) for helping me with a snafu with my reservation at the last minute! He was thoughtful and patient with me, took time to understand my dilemma, and brainstormed different ways to help resolve the situation. Thank you, Daniel, for helping navigate a difficult situation with calm, positivity, and humor!
Great omelette made by Chef Northan. Excellent and very friendly service at breakfast.
Great hotel for the CMS Quality Conference. Location was great and great service overall especially Chef Northan with delicious omelets each morning.
I’m here for a work conference and Chef Norman made the best omelette for me for breakfast . I quickly stepped away from my table and he offered to look over my things and overall is really polite and kind. Thanks to him and all the service staff!
We stayed at this hotel for a volleyball tournament. I took five of the girls for dinner in the lobby restaurant and Ben L was fantastic!!
Chef Northan’s Omlette was delicious.
I recently stayed at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor for five nights and unfortunately the experience was far below the standard I expect from Hilton properties.
The main issues began at the breakfast restaurant reception. During the first three days of our stay, the process was smooth, a staff member greeted us, asked for our room number, and seated us. However, on Saturday we encountered a very rude receptionist who did not greet us and abruptly asked how many people we were. When I explained we were hotel guests, she simply said she would “tell the server.” When I asked if she needed to note our room number (as other staff had done on previous days), she repeated the same thing without clarification.
After breakfast, the server brought us a bill because the information had not been passed along. We then had to explain the situation again. The server, Diamond, handled it very professionally and apologised even though the mistake was not hers.
The following morning we encountered the same receptionist again. Once again there was no greeting, and when I mentioned the confusion from the previous day she became defensive and rude, insisting that “this is not how things happen here.” Her attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional. Thankfully, Diamond recognised us again and was extremely kind and accommodating.
We reported this to the front desk staff (Bennie), who was polite and suggested we speak with the manager. However, when we later spoke to someone we believed was the hotel manager, it turned out to be the restaurant manager. Unfortunately, she was extremely defensive and not apologetic. She admitted the staff member “needs training” but repeatedly refused to tell us her name despite multiple requests. The conversation went in circles and ended with her telling us to go ahead and write a review on TripAdvisor.
Another incident occurred when we asked reception for plates and cutlery for the room. We were told to request a disposable box from the restaurant. When we approached a restaurant staff member, she rolled her eyes and walked away without explanation, leaving us standing there confused. Eventually, another server kindly came over and explained that she had gone to get something.
In addition to the service issues, the housekeeping was very disappointing. Although the room was superficially cleaned, it was never thoroughly maintained during our five-day stay. The bathroom surfaces were never properly wiped, and there was visible dust on cabinets, tables, and nightstands. The carpet also appeared dirty despite being vacuumed once.
I am asthmatic and severely allergic to dust, and the dusty room caused repeated nosebleeds during the stay. As a frequent traveller, I always leave honest reviews. I brought these issues to the hotel staff before leaving, hoping they would take them seriously, but unfortunately the response felt dismissive.
The only positive aspect of the stay was the server Diamond, who was kind, professional, and helpful throughout.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and not what I expected from a Hilton property.
A great experience traveling on business with a special shout out to Tiffany and Camille! They allowed an early check in at noon honoring my Hilton honors status. Room was clean, services were great and an overall great location!!
Chef Northan was wonderful! His custoner service and attention to detail was exceptional. He has great energy and a passion for his work that comes through as he served myself and others. Chef Northan was a bright spot on an otherwise dreary, rainy morning. And my omelet was delicious too. Great job!

Not the property’s fault but Baltimore is not safe. Someone was abducted right by the hotel.
I was in a bind. I found myself about to walk into an important business meeting with a clothing malfunction. Luckily, my guy, Julius, the Director of Security, was there to be the hero. Not exactly the shirt off his back, but dude loaned me his very belt and I was able to execute a very successful engagement without being distracted, knowing I had a tire shortcomings. This was after scouring the hotel for an extra mind you but he would stop nothing short of making sure I was properly taken care of.
Stayed here 1 night while we attended an MLS soccer game at nearby M&T Bank Stadium. Management needs some serious work to do regarding the eating options at the hotel as well as the service. Firstly, for a hotel this size there are very limited options. There is only 1 small restaurant in the lobby and 1 cafe that serves things to go. After our game, we wanted to have dinner at the hotel. The lobby was packed with people waiting for a table, even though there were many empty tables at the restaurant. Evidently, they just didn't have enough servers to be able to function to capacity. After placing our names on the reservations list, we waited for 40 minutes before we got tired of waiting. We were told we could order from our room. Once in our room, we found out that it was different menu (more limited) than the one in the restaurant. We went back down again and ended up ordering a to-go dinner from the bar. They took 1 hour to give us our dinner. They were very gracious and apologetic about the delay; the fact is they just didn't have enough people working that night. The next morning, we wanted to just get a to-go coffee from the cafe. We waited 30 minutes in that line just to get our coffees. A line of 10 people turned into a line of 20+ people while we were there. It was evident that the hotel was not prepared to offer good service, which is surprising given that they must be used to having game nights and a fully booked hotel, being located next to 2 large stadiums.
My room looked right out onto Camden Yards! It was a spectacular view. My room and bathroom were very clean (though there initially was a long black hair in the sink), and very comfortable.
There initially was a long black hair in the sink, but I wiped it out and threw it away.
