Front desk staff was kind enough to change the room, when I reported first assigned room was not clean.

Cons:

Easy to find , pool

Cons:

Unsafe neighborhood, odors, dirty, no maid service, continental breakfast was cold and unpalatable. Witnessed 4 vehicles being stolen from parking lot and management laughed about it. They said they are not responsible for the outside of the doors.

Where do I start the TV didn't work called to front desk they didn't answer had to go down ohhh the elevators was down once I got there was given a remote with no batteries had to go back 😮‍💨 only for that one not to work so first night no TV when I went down the morning for breakfast I addressed the problem again and was told maintenence would be there at 9 well by the time 9 came around the toilet stopped ohhh when checked in someone else was down complaining about there toilet and the fact they had to come downstairs to use the bathroom anywho by the time the maintenance arrived I had fixed the toilet so he comes to figure the TV and discovered the HDMI cord was chewed up so he switched it out gave another remote saw it STILL WASNT WORKING he just left out NEVER RETURNED so we had to go 3 days without a TV.... the bathroom wasn't clean the shower curtain and tub was dirty elevators didn't work breakfast was frozen food and waffles bagels and bread NO MUFFINS OR DANISHES NO REAL EGGS did I say we had to.spend our entire 3 day trip with no TV .....

The beds were nice and comfy.

Cons:

The elevator didn't work so I had to carry my bags upstairs and the handle to the shower was broken.
The TV didn't show regular channels and the staff was unable to fix the problem so I was without TV channels for the entire two days of my stay and nobody would answer the phone at the desk when I called the front desk. The people above us was very loud and they rumbled and stumbled over our heads the whole night. I was very disappointed with my stay at Comfort Suites of Merrillville.

Staff was helpful but clientele questionable

Cons:

Was not given the type of room I requested (2 queen beds) when I made rez. Then told that would be $30 extra. Staff changed rez at no extra charge. Then the tv in my room didn’t work (was vandalized) so had to switch rooms again. Sorry, but I’ll pass next time

Not the best of experience......
Pros:

Stayed for one night on our way to a family birthday in Wisconsin. While the room was clean, the bathroom was deplorable. Being tired by the time we checked in, we didn’t bring it to the attention of management. Also - husband went to the small area where items were sold....picked out 2 ice cream treats, priced as $2 each on the top of the freezer lid. He was charged $4 for one and $1 for the other. When questioned why the difference, he was told by the employee - it’s on the list for the price.

I liked the couch

Cons:

I didn't like that the breakfast, the fact that the pool doesn't open until 11am and we got in late check in. I didn't like that I asked for complimentary toothbrush and there were none. No eggs for breakfast, no clock in room, shower curtains were dirty.
