Pros:

I would love to see them clean up the motel. If the owners would up grade the building and keep the good staff they already have that place would be great.

Would you like having to body slam you door to get into your room.?
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

When I first arrived they were training a new employee, but they were arguing in front of me and took a long time to get me checked in. He asked me for my balance even though I had already paid. Once he gave me my room card he warned me I had to push hard on my door to get it opened. I body slammed it to open it and felt like I was breaking into my room. It was hot. There was a hole where the AC was where I could see outside. The pictures weren't even the same as far as the lobby or rooms go. It was my mistake to not notice they didn't have a fridge in my room and as someone in my group had insulin, a hot room and no fridge made it impossible for us to stay here. By far the worst place I've ever stayed at that was pretty costly considering the neighborhood. I argued with booking for a refund because of the conditions of my room and the fact that my door was broken. They gave me the run around and only offered me $11 in credit. Not worth the time money or consideration.

Pros:

It was a bed, although lumpy, no bedbugs

Cons:

No carpet, no coffeemaker, no shampoo or conditioner, no iron, just a bed, phone and TV. The curtains were tacked over the window

Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

They over booked the property and told me they would not honor my confirmed booking. I would only be allowed to stay one of my two nights i reserved. On top of that, they did not honor my $64/night rate ($128 for two nights) from booking.com and said i had to pay the walk in rate of $110 for the one night. The night clerk said the “iPad wont let me change my reservation” so he had to cancel my booking and charge the walk in rate for one night. He refused to contact his manager for help. He actually laughed at, “call a manager at two am?!? HA”. The two women at the counter the next morning were rude and defensive when i tried to discuss the matter. Excuses, excuses, deflection, no help or sympathy. I did not hear a sorry from anyone, just attitude, and did not get my rate corrected and was kicked out the the second day and had to get a pricey hotel elsewhere. Booking.com said they are attempting to contact the property about adjisting my price.

Great night clerk, great restaurant nearby, absolutely tragic hotel.
Pros:

The Good (The actual miracles):
Let’s start with the genuine bright spots. The rooms were surprisingly quiet, and the night clerk, Jarvis, was an absolute delight—super friendly and deserving of a medal. Also, The Branded Steer restaurant in the parking lot has excellent food and an awesome staff. Eat there; just don't sleep here.

Cons:

The Bad (The "Housekeeping" Illusion):
Beyond those few beacons of light, this property is in rough shape. The photos on Booking.com were certainly of a Motel 6, just absolutely not this Motel 6. The daytime check-in staff seemed entirely disinterested in life—which, given the state of the building, is honestly fair. I’d be sad too.

You’re handed an extensive contract to sign at check-in. Most of it is standard legal jargon, until you reach the plot twist: guests must take ALL of their own trash with them upon checkout because "housekeeping" (and I use that word in the loosest sense of the term) will not touch it. When I questioned this, the front desk lady acted like hauling your own garbage to the curb was a standard luxury hotel amenity. The hallways and elevator-free stairwells were filthy and smelled like decades of regret, though to their credit, it wasn’t weed smoke. Just old dust and despair.

The Room:
I booked two double beds, but what I got were two mattresses barely larger than twins. They were a mismatched pair: one was passable, and the other was a direct step down from what I imagine a prison cot feels like.

While the room looked clean at eye level, the details were horrifying. I tossed a bag onto the top closet shelf and discovered a layer of dust that has likely been accumulating since the first Bush administration. If that doesn't trigger your allergies, the air conditioner filter will—it was packing enough dust to knit a fleet of sweaters to keep Antarctica warm, all while successfully making the room more humid instead of cool.

TV was already on when I walked in. Remote was useless, I had to physically unplug the television from the wall to achieve silence. Finally, the keycards only worked when they felt like it, and on the rare occasion the lock registered, you had to pull up on the handle to get in.

Verdict:
If you are looking for a character-building experience or a location for a gritty indie film, this is it.

Not for me!
Pros:

When I left to get a new hotel

Cons:

Drove all the way out to find out each guest needs a photo ID to stay there! Never heard of this! They will not let you in the building unless you each guest has one. This would have been nice to know before hand. So we ended up going somewhere else. Which was fine with me because when you first walk in it’s run down and very worn looking. The front desk guy wasn’t all that polite.

The biggest plus of the motel was the drama at the smoking tree.
Pros:

There were restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean.

Cons:

Bed was rocky. Most of the room was empty of furniture. Not alot of light.

Served the purpose of staying somewhere before my flight
Pros:

Location to the airport. That’s why I booked

Cons:

The tv was on loud. Made me nervous to first walk thinking someone was in or uses my room. Tv was completely crooked. Distracting to watch tv. The room was extremely cold when I walked in the thermostat numbers were all gone so it was hard to tell what I was setting the heat to. So then the room got hot and had to open a window with no screen so bugs got in.

Cons:

No one was available to check me in. I waited for a significant amount of time, but no one showed up. I tried calling the hotel while I was there with no answer, and I eventually had to book elsewhere, even though I already paid.
