The room was specious and comfortable
There was NO hot water!
The staff was amazing from check in to check out. They were very accommodating and helpful. The pillows were great. Will definitely come back. Love the history behind the inn.

It was perfect!
Loved everything
Great location to UNH for campus. Walk to football stadium was easy and only takes about 20 minutes. Peaceful setting. Easy and no additional fee for parking. Was greated by team of staff who walked us to our room.
Things to improve: Please make sure the room is clean. Ours was dusty in the bathroom and main room. Cobwebs on ceiling, in bathroom and next to bed with a spider on it. Queen bed mattress was bouncy.
It was a nice quaint hotel. It was comfortable and the rooms were nice. However, I expected better breakfast from a place that touts itself as a B&B. It was just plain bagels and cereal.
The property was very quaint, but some may be off out with the cemetery being so close.
The historical house really made it a special stay. The staff both at the hotel and the bar/grill were friendly, and shared great stories of the home. Durham is a fantastic town with great history that the Durham Historical Association, which is just down from the hotel proudly displays. I will definitely return.
The inn is a historical landmark in the center of Durham. The location is great and the building and grounds are beautiful. We found the inn staff friendly and welcoming. We had dinner at the tavern which was good. However, our dog-friendly room was in a dark basement at the back of the property. The beds were very creaky and we found that in the early morning our room did not have hot water. That was fixed after a call to the front desk. The included breakfast was the most basic I have ever had in a hotel or inn. Just coffee and plain bagels individually packaged in a ziploc bag. It wouldn't be much more trouble to provide some fresh fruit and cereals, or even scrambled eggs. This inn could be a destination with minimal investment.

Breakfasts left a lot to be desired- no protein except yogurt which I do not eat!

Tub rim was so high, my husband had to help me climb over the rim
