Hotel is on an industrial estate with car park which logs registrations. Arrival fine but hotel was iike an oven room boiling hot and window barely opened fan in room was full of dust filthy. Rest of room clean but tired like building. Had meal deal which was awful served cold and took an hour to get, All frozen heat em up stuff very poor quality & not very nice, Never got my sweet either. Breakfast was terrible buffet of very poor sausages wet limp bacon powdered scrambled egg tinned mushrooms etc etc sliced white bread a really poor quality offering in end only had toast. During night a car alarm was going off nobody bothered to sort it car registrations were all logged so they would have know whose it was, Then delivery at 5.00am so not a great night all in all. I suppose you get what you pay for I wont bother again rather drive 180 miles home and back again!
I appreciate that Travelodge is a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting luxury. The room was clean and basic, although it did have a strong smell of wet dog. Reception advised they were fully booked so we couldn't move rooms. The cool reception and restaurant areas were a welcome relief from the heat.
Unfortunately, the customer service was poor throughout. Check-in consisted of the receptionist asking for my name, pointing towards the room and sending us on our way. No welcome, no explanation of the facilities, breakfast or bar – we felt like an inconvenience.
Dinner was equally disappointing. Our starters and mains arrived together with no apology, we weren't given any cutlery until we asked, and our wine glasses were dirty. Finished plates sat on the table for ages while bar staff appeared to be on their phones, and the vending machine was also out of order.
The experience was poor enough that we chose to have breakfast at the nearby Premier Inn instead.
Budget hotel or not, basic hospitality, attention to detail and customer service shouldn't be too much to expect.
Staff were so rude and unhelpful room was a health hazard with the heat I was only there 10 mins and felt like I could not breath Staff had nothing to say not helpful and rude If I stayed i would of passed out it was that bad. do not recommend at all and this was only a day which was 25'c god forbid if this was a hotter day no aircon no window open nothing just a sweat box and deadly environment.
Stayed 2 nights for business. There's tons of parking spaces, although you still get the trade vans parking in the disabled spaces as you do at all hotels.
The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained.
The food in the restaurant was hit and miss. I had a burger my first evening which wasn't great (the chips were lovely) and it was accompanied by a glass of wine in a dirty glass.
The second evening I had a pizza which was really nice accompanied by another glass of wine in a dirty glass.
Despite having white Pinot Grigio on the menu, this was out of stock on both evenings. On the second evening one of the staff said "I don't know why it's still on there cos we haven't had any for ages". Perhaps update the menu then.
It's an OK Travelodge, but I won't be rushing back.
, absolutely stellar. I wasn’t expecting a lot but a massive shout out to the young lady who was working 10/6 evening on the reception, I’ve unfortunately forgotten how to spell her name but she alone turned the stay from a 3/5 to a 5/5. Thank you sweetheart, you were excellent.
Very friendly welcome from reception team.George and Callum where very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean all around including the rooms.I did not have Breakfast but it looked delicious, and the Gentleman on check was also very friendly and accommodating.
I will be back when on the area again. Strongly recommended.
The two gents at the reception when we checked in were really welcoming and attentive to detail.
Our room was small compared to other Travelodges but very functional. But what cough our attention what the cleanliness of the bedroom and the all hotel in general.
The atmosphere, service and the breakfast were outstanding during our night stay.
Highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.
This is our second visit in the last two months and we definitely will be back.
We were warmly welcomed by Callum on reception who doubled as the bar manager. He was charming and extremely helpful. We’d heard some less flattering things about a Travelodge along the M4 corridor but this was newly refurbished, clean and had modern amenities.
The rooms are nice, with modern technology and fittings. Smallish but very functional.
The price per room is also very good.
Thank you Travelodge!
I’ve been staying at the Travelodge Swindon, Delta Business Park, Great Western Way, Swindon, SN5 7XG regularly for around a year now because of work. At first it was Tuesday and Wednesday nights, but since the new year it’s mostly just Tuesday. Same drive every week from Hertfordshire. Usually tired by the time I arrive. Especially after a full day on site. Savanna is one of the main reasons this has become such a good experience week after week.
One thing I’ve noticed consistently is the welcome from Savanna on the front desk. I genuinely think she deserves recognition for the way she represents the hotel and the effort she puts into every interaction.
It sounds like a small thing until you’re the person walking through the doors carrying a bag, mentally still half in traffic and emails and whatever the day was. She always smiles, asks how the journey was, remembers faces, makes conversation naturally without it feeling forced. It’s a 2 hour drive in the morning, so by the time I get there after a full day, that kind of welcome genuinely makes a difference.
There’s something calming about being greeted properly after a long day. I leave home early, get to my office for 7:30am, work all day and usually check in around 4:30pm. You don’t realise how much that matters until you experience it regularly.
Hotels can sometimes feel a bit anonymous. Check in, key card, lift, silence. But Savanna has a way of making the place feel genuinely welcoming. Not over the top. Just human.
I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels through work over the years, and most of the time you barely remember the interaction at reception. This has been different. Consistency matters, especially when you’re travelling regularly, and Savanna brings that every single week.
After doing the same journey week after week, you start to notice people who make things easier for others without making a big thing of it.
Thought it was worth mentioning. Savanna deserves the recognition.
I only stayed at Travelodge for one night, but I really wanted to leave a review because Ajith deserves recognition for the outstanding service he gave.
From the moment I came to breakfast, he welcomed me with such a genuine, warm, beautiful smile and made me feel completely at ease. He was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and clearly cares about making guests feel welcome. I even tried to give him a tip because he truly deserved it, but sadly he wasn’t allowed to accept it.
George, who I believe may have been the manager, was also very professional, friendly, and accommodating on the desk, always greeting people with a smile.
Both are a real credit to Travelodge, but I especially hope Ajith receives the recognition he deserves for his kindness and excellent customer service.
Good night sleep, good renovation from ibis to a Travelodge. Bar and cafe set up was great with
Plenty of seating
Stayed at this hotel as a stopover. The hotel was well maintained and the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful
Simply does the job. Everything works. Very comfortable bed. Functional bathroom - but a bit tricky getting in and out of the shower (in the bath). Breakfast did all that was required.
We had a lovely short stay at Travelodge. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The room was clean and comfortable, and everything met my expectations.
Great value for money and a convenient location.
Nicely refurbished and very friendly staff, manager on saturday was vey professional to deal our request and had lovely breakfast too, plus side car park is free
The hotel is nice and welcoming face the staff are very polite and kind . The rooms are good and clean well
And they got free car park
Very clean hotel. And the staff was amazing, specially the Portuguese manager on duty.
I had a extra booking with a different name and the housekeeper came knocking on the door, I was not very happy at the beginning so went down to reception to address this but after speaking with the manager he very quickly sorted everything out and I was able to stay in the same room.
Great costumer service * * * * *
Will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to friend and Family.
The room was clean, however their was a fish smell in the room and was unable to move us as the rooms were full. Recommend not to take the unlimited breakfast very little there, little disappointing they had fresh fruit but they had int in the smallest bowls and no way you can grab all of it cause it would be empty for the next person,
"Our family enjoyed an outstanding stay at this property. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, reflecting a high standard of housekeeping, while the entire staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness.
The recent refurbishment has been executed to a very high standard; the updated bar and restaurant areas in particular, offer a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning."
Hotel refurbished nicely and staff friendly, room clean also large car park is free to park,
Only downside no sky sports showing to watch the games.
