The hotel is nice and welcoming face the staff are very polite and kind . The rooms are good and clean well
And they got free car park
Very clean hotel. And the staff was amazing, specially the Portuguese manager on duty.
I had a extra booking with a different name and the housekeeper came knocking on the door, I was not very happy at the beginning so went down to reception to address this but after speaking with the manager he very quickly sorted everything out and I was able to stay in the same room.
Great costumer service * * * * *
Will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to friend and Family.
The room was clean, however their was a fish smell in the room and was unable to move us as the rooms were full. Recommend not to take the unlimited breakfast very little there, little disappointing they had fresh fruit but they had int in the smallest bowls and no way you can grab all of it cause it would be empty for the next person,
"Our family enjoyed an outstanding stay at this property. The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, reflecting a high standard of housekeeping, while the entire staff demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness.
The recent refurbishment has been executed to a very high standard; the updated bar and restaurant areas in particular, offer a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning."
Hotel refurbished nicely and staff friendly, room clean also large car park is free to park,
Only downside no sky sports showing to watch the games.
Nicely refurbished hotel, friendly staff clean room, has bigger lounge space than many other Travelodge, free car parking is plus, all count this hotel value for money.
Not a great experience no draught beer for over a week hot water not…. Tepid at best dog barking inside the hotel dog feces on corridor carpet bathroom sink plastic with cracks i in it very dated! hot food choice limited due to not a available! Been charged for WiFi I have never been charged for a basic service!! Disgracful the only good thing were the staff on reception friendly helpful
Let’s start by the negatives-
Do not eat here.
After a busy day shopping we decided to have an evening meal where by it was slapped up by the receptionist. (we have previously had lovely travelodge meals in a different hotel)
Let’s start with the drinks. We ordered a cubra libre cocktail. The two ladies looked at eachother without any knowledge of what is inside the cocktail and how to make it. They put a shot of bacardi and diet coke can in a glass and grabbed a lime and squeezed it over the drink with unwashed bare hands.
Then we ordered food and well that was a challenge. The ladies weren’t aware of what their menu consisted of and how to order it. But we got there in the end.
I was not informed that they didn’t have half of the ingredients to make the meals we ordered. We received the meals which were the southern fried chicken burger with two sides of onion rings and ‘mozzerella flatbread’.
The ‘mozzerella’ was broken pieces of plastic cheese. The coleslaw was just raw veggies not “spicy” as per the menu.
When we received these meals we were devastated. When i spoke to the chef/receptionist they seemed rather shocked and confused. I asked for a refund where they tried to offer me a free drink or dessert but i wasn’t interested in this after what ive received. I had to wait until the next day to get a refund from the rudest bluntest manager i’ve ever come across. Talk about service with a smile! We did eventually get our refund but with no condolences or apologies which i thought was bizzare.
The rooms-
You will consistently hear dogs barking through the day and night. There is a door which connects to someone else’s next door which reception say it can’t be opened but let me reassure you it certainly can.
I would never revisit this hotel, the staff were rude and miserable, the rooms were average just strange about the door but we live and we learn.
The rooms were poorly maintained. Dogs barking during the day, nights and first thing in the mornings. Staff appear unable to do anything about noise. If you are allergic to animal hairs like me, you could end up in a room dogs/cat/etc have stayed in. Cleanliness/hygiene also an issue as the shelve where I placed my folded clothes was caked in dust and grime. My clothes were covered in it. On closer inspection, the rest of the room was covered in dust. The combination of caked-in dust, grime and built-up animal hair made me sneeze all the time I was there and as I have asthma, I also suffered from breathlessness and was congested all the time - had to use my asthma pump a lot.
Oh, the toilets are quite low as if they are for kids.
The exterior of the hotel was deceptively clean and quiet.
The bar and restaurant areas have all been upgraded with a fresh feel, with new seating and comfy new seating areas. The Motel has improved since the last time I stayed here. I had booked for one night, but after seeing the upgrades and improvements, I booked here for a second night. I had one breakfast, and one evening meal which were great.
The hotel should have been shut down for this to happen !!! The noise was horrendous, work man everywhere dust no bar or restaurant for weeks
An exceptional stay from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located, but the real standout was Alex. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care transformed a great stay into an unforgettable one. Nothing was too much trouble, and every interaction felt personal and thoughtful. Alex is a true credit to the hotel and the reason I’ll be returning
Reception area & dining area being renovated, so it's messy and cold and no food available. Room was small, but clean and tidy.
Great short stay at this Travelodge, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to George who checked me in a little earlier. See you again soon. Thank you 🙏😊
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!! From Travelodge online, I’ve sent around 200 emails to address a double payment, out of that I’ve received 2 automated replies telling me to wait 10 days for the pending payment to ping back (the payment was taken over a month ago!!) The phone number doesn’t work. Staff at the hotel tried to help (Huge thanks to the lovely reception team) but she was just told to give me the email address that I’ve already sent endless emails to!! BY FAR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! BEYOND SHOCKING
Amazing stay! The room was clean, staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel! Great Location!
I travelled to this hotel to stay for 4 days and 3 nights between Monday 20th October to Thursday 23rd October. I stayed in room 151, on the 1st floor for all 4 days, working on my laptop at the desk.
When I booked it, I noted from the website that this hotel is ‘A new member of the Travelodge family. You’ll notice some differences in this hotel’s offering until we update it with our latest look & features’. Therefore, I fully expected (and then observed) a different/dated look and feel whilst it is being bought up to usual Travelodge branding and standards. However, what I did not expect was the level of building works going on. The noise from drilling and banging was unbelievably disruptive and extremely difficult to concentrate. It was happening immediately directly above my room ALL DAY, EVERY DAY (fortunately, not in the evenings or during the night) and made my business phone calls almost impossible to hold. I have since seen that multiple other recent guests have reported similar experiences online. Unlike myself, however, I’m sure they were not trying to work all day on a building site! I was having headaches all day.
I asked reception on day 1 if the disruption would stop or at least reduce. They said regrettably that a) the noise would last throughout my stay and b) the hotel is fully booked, so there was no possibility to move me to a room in a quieter area. Travelodge must question whether this hotel, or at least the parts of the hotel in and around where key works are being undertaken, should be open to the public. This is from both a guest comfort and general health & safety perspective (hallways are dusty and dirty, generally poorly presented, with some building materials lying around). Fire doors were also wedged open throughout my stay. When I closed them, they were back open again the next time I walked past.
This complaint is not aimed at the friendly and helpful staff in the hotel who are 5* (especially the amazing Marlene at breakfast) or indeed the building contractors. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and my room itself, whilst of poor appearance in the bathroom, was good value for money – including very comfortable beds. Pre or post works I would have had a pleasant stay.
Whilst not materially affecting my trip, I would also like to report that the lift did not work throughout my stay, the TV reception in my room was intermittent (I appreciate that both could be related to the building works) and the dinner food menu was limited – not all options were available.
Renovations being carried out. Hammer drilling, filthy, sharing walkways with builders, etc. no ground floor rooms (as requested). No lift (Mobility issues). Moved to different hotel.
I felt sorry for reception staff. I was obv not their first unhappy customer! They apologized for renovation noise, etc but sadly that doesn't make it stop.
Travelodge shd not be hiring out rooms with work ongoing. Where is Health and Safety when you really need them??
The room smelt awful. Carpet looked bad. Walls and doors looked grubby. Rooms are waiting to be refurbished and until this is done, I wouldn’t stay here again. Noise travels through the hotel (talking, doors, lift) very easily. Some rooms have the windows open (assume for referb) but makes space cold.
We stayed for 1 night and it was cheap. Bed was quite uncomfortable and felt smaller than it should be. Gap either side to the bedside cabinet. The TV was too small for the unit and was showing cables. Bathroom was fine, reception was nice and it was quiet from outside noise, although you could hear things internally (people walking and talking). Lifts were not working and it appears work is being done there. For a cheap night it was ok.
