Nice hotel for short budget-friendly stay in Dublin. Good location and friendly staff.
Pros:

Very nice family-owned hotel. Location-wise within walking distance of all main attractions, but remains in a quiet street with little late night noise pollution. Reception staff was great, very kind and friendly. I arrived on delayed flight really late at night, and they greeted me warmly.
As far as room and amenities go you get what is expected. Bed was nice and comfortable with really warm sheets and TV worked good.

Cons:

Be aware that this is an old building with no lift, some rooms do require you to climb several steps. Heating can be irregular and cannot directly be controlled from the room, however once in bed sheeting is very warm and comfortable. The bathroom is rather small and hot water might take some time to come, however everything works as expected.

Comfortable stay, kind staff and good location
Pros:

Lovely little hotel with amazingly kind and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay very much. We are definitely going to recommend this hotel to friends and family :)

Extremely good quality for the price; very friendly and helpful staff, good location
Pros:

The staff is extremely friendly; I could ask for help with anything and they did their best. The place is nice, clean, and in a really good location. Breakfast is nothing special, but it's nice.

Cons:

No elevator.
Water takes a lot of time to warm up.

A lovely hotel that is clean and comfortable.
Pros:

The Dergvale is a lovely hotel operated by a father and his daughter, Jerry and Olga. They are a wonderful team who will make you feel welcomed and pampered. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Cons:

That we couldn't stay longer.
