Hosts of this family run hotel were exceptional, so friendly and very helpful with local knowledge. The complimentary breakfast was great. Location was great and in a very quiet area. easy walk into the centre of town. Room was very comfortable.

Es war ein sehr liebevoller Empfang. Super gemütlich eingerichtetes kleines Hotel. Man bekam sogar ein Kaffeeservice bis zur Zimmertür serviert. Tolle Lage und besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit dort.

Firstly, the staff working here were really lovely and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! At various points during our stay we had questions and requests; the staff were really helpful and friendly, and were available day and night. The decor in the hotel is a little old fashioned, but it's sort of charming and everything is SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. The shower in our room was great. Location is great in terms of its distance from the centre of Dublin, so everything is walkable from the hotel (15-20 mins). There's plenty of amenities close to the hotel - good coffee, breakfast and convenience stores. I have no complaints about anything to do with the hotel and would happily recommend it. Our room didn't include breakfast, but there is a very basic complimentary breakfast available (toast, cereal, snacks and tea/coffee). Tea and coffee is available free of charge from reception.
There's nothing much to dislike about the hotel, if you understand this is a fairly basic hotel. Not a hotel problem, but the street the hotel is on feels a little bit sketchy, but I never felt unsafe; it's a main street in Dublin so I doubt you'd run into problems. Also, while not a problem specific to this hotel, the cost of rooms in Dublin vs what you get - Dublin is an expensive city for hotels, in relation to its size.
The lovely friendly welcome and atmosphere from the best host, Olga, and her equally friendly father, Gerry.
I was arriving much earlier than check in time, but Olga had the room ready so I was able to check in straight away. The room was spotless, bed was lovely and comfy and a good shower.
Breakfast was great, no cooked food but plenty of choice of fresh fruits as well as pastries etc.
The small family run hotel was in the heart of the city and within walking distance of just about anywhere. Connelly station is not far if a trip out to Bray or anywhere is your thing. Croke Park is also within walking distance too. The peace garden or remembrance garden is about 150yards away as is Parnell Sq.
All in all, the hotel is exceptional value for money. I will definitely be using it again.
