Tranquility and peace of mind
Pros:

If you a person who loves simplicity, nature and tranqulity, jardins des palmes is an ideal location for you. With only few villas available (around 10) with perfect view of the anse la mouche bay one can just switch off from your daily busy life and enjoy some days away from the city's busy life. The villas are exeptional with a beautiful view when stepping out on your balcony.
The staff was just amazing. From pamela, muriel, and our chef who prepared the most filling breakfast whereby we got the chance to have it delivered in our villa.
The area is deserted as its never full but that is the beauty of it. You can relax ur mind, body and soul.
Thank you for the good experience and i will be coming back soon.

Pros:

Very costly property giving no basic amenities. Very cleanliness, rooms with lizards and mosquitoes, towels and bed sheets smelling humidity of months! Although, very nice view and okay kind of staff.

Pros:

No working hot water in a shower, after 12 hour travel to get here is a big problem. We were brought to the room and the staff member left. There was no one to notify about the problem until the following morning. There was no working wifi either, which was an advertised amenity that prompted me to book at this location.

We aren't expecting a lot, but running hot water is a basic expectation for a hotel. Certainly not the value one would expect for $350.00 per night!

Quiet Hidden Treasure
Pros:

We trudged from our guest house in the Sunday sun, venturing for lunch. We went off the road by Anse La Mouche Bay struggling up this steep hill.
At the end was this absolutely fascinating all wood structure.

We ventured forwards and climbed up these stairs revealing a reception bar day room accessing a pool. It was a Sunday. The place was empty. We had to leave but returned 3 more times,

To hang out and eventually taking that swim. We were taken to see the rooms which had breath taking views of the BAY.

Food was great, the staff extremely friendly.

What could be different, they need to market more, get more clientele and adjust their prices....downwards,

Good pool and a fine ambience
Pros:

This was a cozy Hotel with superb coastal views. A lot of time was spent in a state of sublime relaxation gently browning to a crisp beside the swimming pool. all secondary cares and outside preoccupations ebbing away. The surrounding coastline is eminently attractive- \making for stunning picture postcard-perfect shots every time!

wonderful holidays
Pros:

Wonderful holiday with extreme high factor of relax can be experienced on the island Mahé Seychelles in the Hotel Jardin des Palmes. A beautiful place with 5 houses, each with 2 big apartments. You also find swimming-pool and restaurant with a very good kitchen. All is equipped well and tasty. Situated in a quiet location at the Anse la Mouche with a connection to a beautiful beach. Further you find very friendly, heartily and qualified personnel, who do everything to make the stay worthwhile: you find flowers on your bed, get your most liked meals or a coconut-drink, they take care. The only must: you need a car as the hotel is on a hill and it is hard to get there in heat or the rain. We stayed there for 10 days, we liked it very much and recovered well..

Beautiful hotel with strange price/performance ratio
Pros:

The hotel is nicely set above the bay of Anse La Mouche. I find the hotel as very beautiful, the rooms are built from wood, are nice and clean and have excellent lookout from the balcony. The environment alone is perfect. What I did not understand is the pricing and the quality of breakfast for that price. I stayed there in december 2013 and paid about 250 eur / room / night. If the price was 50% I would raise my rating from 3/5 to 4/5. I suggest to have a rented car at hand. The Anse La Mouche itself is not much interesting for swimming and it's good to have option to travel along the west coast of Mahe which offers many beautiful beaches.

We went for lunch
Pros:

We went for lunch only and didn't stay at the hotel. The location is superb with great views over the sea. The resto is next to the swimming pool and receives a refreshing breeze. The food was very average and it took a long time (1Hr) to serve pan fried fish, perhaps they had to wake the chef! Service from the waiting staff was reasonable but I wouldn't recommend it or return.

Sincere, faultless & perfect!
Pros:

Apologies it's taken me so long to write this review.
I travelled to this hotel as a single white female and initially was a little concerned about my personal safety however, I had no need to worry.
All of the staff are extremely caring, knowledgable, professional and kind. They literally cannot do enough for you. This is a lovely hotel. Love the wooden showers that are semi exposed (but private) if that makes sense? Rooms are spotless, food very reasonably priced, cocktails ~ take it steady (very tasty). The house wines (can only comment on the White) was nice, not overly priced and served by glass or bottle.
There is security on site (all night) and any problems the staff treat you more like a friend than 'just a customer' they really do go above and beyond what's expected.
I met a few lovely people during my stay. I missed the New Years Eve party as went out to a jumped up, over priced hotel with 4 others and then onto a club. Wish I'd of stayed and partied with the staff by the pool.
I went into deep shock on the 3 or 4th January and had to get back to the UK - the staff went beyond what's expected and treated me like family. They are so genuine and will do anything to help you or advise you on what to do/where to go.
Will I go back? Yes. Would I go back as a solo traveller? No. This is a place to relax, enjoy, tour the island and the other islands (didn't get chance to do any other islands). This resort isn't up there with the 5 star ones and doesn't profess to be but I'd rather the rustic, but clean and personal level of service that you get here. Not the faceless 'just another paying guest' treatment you get at the larger resorts. Pool is spotless, reception area spotless, grounds - beautiful.
Thank you for my stay I enjoyed my time with you. Thank you for looking after me and genuinely caring about my welfare.
I will be back but next time, with my partner.
I've travelled a lot and this has to be one of the most genuine hotels I've stayed at for many years. Loved it!
Thank you all (Sarah the Brit who had to fly home unexpectedly on my birthday 7th January 2015). The hotel even sorted a taxi for me - very cheap & a genuine friendly driver who stopped en route to airport (Mahe) so I could get some pictures of the beautiful sun set.
Thank you thank you thank you! Xx

Thank you
Pros:

Amazing friendly staff and wonderful views and accommodation and relaxing environment.
A wonderful hotel from which to explore the Seychelles and the spectacular views from the rooms, I will never forget. Even though I was travelling alone, I would recommend this hotel for couples and families.

Wonderful Place for Vacation
Pros:

My husband and I spent 4 days in this resort in June 2013. The rooms are extraordinarily large, airy and clean. The views from the rooms and the restaurants are awesome..... The open bathroom was our favorite. The pool is just renovated and really nice. Beach is five minutes walk from the hotel.
The food is really good here...various selections in breakfast, meal types are set menus. You get one soup, and then choose between two starters, main course and dessert.
The staff is friendly and the service is very good. Especially an Indian Manager was very helpful, friendly and polite. It was an excellent relaxing holiday and we would definitely like to visit again.
All in all, a very restful and enjoyable vacation. Highly recommend Jardin des Palmes - just go. You won't be disappointed.

never again!
Pros:

the hotels asset is the nice view, but this is something you can have from many other hotels as well. The rooms are clean, but need urgent refurbishment. The food (we had breakfast an dinner) is absolutely disappointing, the service is dependent on the person who serves you. The hotel management is not capable to run the hotel. The pool is dirty and loose cables from the pool lights are hanging in the water....

Don´t go for lunch here!
Pros:

We luckily only went here for a lunch. We had to wait a long time for our food. The tuna carpaccio wasn´t fresh at all and consisted of only bad pieces. The dry white wine turned to be sweet and the main course wasn´t tasteful at all. When we complained to our waitress, she said that there was no fresh fish and that everything was putt together with some left overs.. We had to pay an awful lot of money which was in no proportion to the quality of the food so we also made our complains to the manager of the hotel. Her answer was that they would take it in consideration to improve their services.. We were so disappointed! The only positive thing was the friendly waitress who made delicious pina coladas.

Appalling hotel!
Pros:

The only good thing I can say about my thankfully brief stay in this hotel, is the view from the room was beautiful. I was booked into this hotel on a recent business trip to Mahe because every other hotel on the island was full. Upon approaching the lane up to the hotel one could be forgiven for thinking you were driving up to someone's back yard. Other than a small faded sign on the road hidden behind tall grass, there was nothing to indicate the location of the hotel at all. The rooms are poorly decorated and resemble a large garden shed as opposed to their title of 'bungalows'. The bathrooms were large but poorly light with no natural light. The shower was an outside shower surrounded by Bamboo walls which did not go all the way down to the ground, so vermin could get in. Speaking of vermin something 'substantial' scurried across the ceiling above my bed in the attic space at 5.00am. The night I was there I was kept awake all night by dogs fighting in the private house just below my room. All the balconies had barbed wire wrapped around the base of them obviously to thwart any body from climbing up the wooden stilts which support them and gaining access to the balcony (not very reassuring for guests). The linen on the bed did not smell fresh and was of a poor quality, the pillow smelt of sweat and had no pillow protector under the pillow slip. The mattress on the bed did not have a mattress protector either!. The pool was dirty with lots of sediment on the floor of the pool and the cushions on the sun loungers were stained with mildew. The safe in the press did not work and the locks on the sliding doors leading to the balcony were primitive to say the least. The morning I arrived I was presented with the dinner menu and asked to pick my starter, main course and dessert for that nights evening meal (at 8.00am!). None of the staff were in uniform so it was impossible to distinguish them from other guests/ or possibly locals who could have wandered around the hotel. I thankfully managed to secure a room in another hotel on the island and made a speedy exit out of the place as fast as I could make it down the hill in the car. Apart from the view, the staff was the only other positive I could say about the hotel. They were pleasant and helpful and did not cause a fuss when I told them I was checking out earlier than expected.

Calm relaxing and
Pros:

We stayed at Le Jardin des Palmes for 3 nights, good location, is about 20 mn from the airport,
great view , the food is tasty, rooms are big enough ..Staff friendly and very helpfull... i advise it for people seeking for relaxation, and not looking for night life and parties...
2 mn walk you can reach the beach, but it is a small one ...so in case you need to spend a whole day you can go to Takamaka beach, is about 15mn far from the hotel , you can reach it by Taxi or bus. it has a very scenic view and good restaurant...
i also advise Masons agency for any tour you would like to have, Very Professional, ethical and Ponctual!

Beautiful honeymoon
Pros:

My husband arranged for us to stay at this hotel for our honeymoon as a surprise.

Now, I often prefer to stay at well-known hotel chains e.g. Hilton, Four Seasons, because I like having lots of services and facilities available to us. Therefore when we got there, at first I was a bit unsure of his choice of a small local hotel - but i needn't have worried.

The staff was friendly and professional. They were always helpful e.g. helped us book local excursions and a snorkeling trip.

The room was very spacious with breathtaking views over the sea and nearby forest. We wasted a lot of time just sitting on the balcony and watching the birds. Privacy was good. It is true that the decor is a bit dated, like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, but we didn't find this unpleasant as it suited well the rustic and unpretentious atmosphere of the hotel.

The bathroom was again very spacious and the outdoors shower was a great experience.

The food was simple but tasty and well-priced. On a couple of the days we were given a packed breakfast the night before because we were leaving early for excursions, and this was of a good quality.

Only one point for improvement: there are no computers / internet for the guests to use. There is one staff computer which you could use briefly e.g. to check flights, but not for browsing. Of course this for some people might be a good thing because there are no distractions while on holiday!

This hotel would be suitable for travellers who want to sample the authentic Seychellois experience and want to stay somewhere different. It might not have some of the luxuries of the big hotel chains but it more than makes up for this in character and privacy.

Exceptional view
Pros:

Beautiful rooms with an exceptional view. Restaurant is a bit basic which is to be expected from a hotel with only 10 rooms.
