Didn’t get what I paid for…
Pros:

Reserved a room here for the holiday weekend and it was obviously very expensive but a great way to watch the fireworks. For that price, though, I expected a shorter line at check-in, an open pool, and no grubby handprints all over the room. Luckily the staff was helpful in resolving our issues but if I had known the pool would not be available I would have booked elsewhere so this was very disappointing.

Fabulous views and convenient location for a visit to Presque Isle
Pros:

I stayed in mid-May as part of a birdwatching group. The hotel provided complementary parking for members of the group, which was much appreciated. Leo was friendly and helpful at check-in.

The room was spacious and clean, with extra floor space for suitcases, plenty of seating, and a small table. I had a bay front room, so the views were amazing. There was a lot of lighting in the bedroom area. Bed was comfortable.

There was a mini fridge and a bottle of water. The room did not have a microwave. There was a communal microwave in the vending area. It was spotless the first couple times I tried to use it to heat a cup of tea. On my final morning, someone had used it to make oatmeal and had made a mess, so I had to ask for a cup of hot water in the lobby for my tea.

Bathroom had a standalone shower, which is great. The shelves in the shower were a little too small for my personal toiletries, and the grab bars were in an inconvenient location. Lighting was ok, but could use a little more.

Hallways were noisy on the weekend from other guests being loud.

The Marriott app made ordering room service easy. Room service was fast and delicious, although not a ton of meal options.

Parking was conveniently attached, although one of the doors between the hotel and garage did not have a button that you could press to open the doors, so it was a little challenging to navigate with suitcases. The door closest to the hotel did have that option.

Overall, I would stay here again.

Prettier on the outside of
Pros:

I liked the bay view at sunset, that was beautiful. I liked the overall esthetic and look of the hotel.

Cons:

The bathroom shower was moldy and dirty, I wore water shoes just to take a shower.
There is a cement pole outside the window that had a livery large light on all night long, couldn't get a nice dark room.
The bathroom was only lit by the mirror, which was far to dim for actual shower or toilet use.
The club lounge options were minimal at best, did not have the upscale vibe I was expecting for that level. - this floor also does Not have an ice machine, you have to go to other floors for ice.
I explained during check that the card that was "scanned for incedentals only" was not to be used for the room, well they put the whole room in the card.
Additionally there were some issues with both rooms I was issued and when discussing one of the issues with the manager, she hung up the phone. Highly unprofessional!
Overall, I was highly disappointed with the hotel, especially as its supposed to be upscale and for the cost.
