Great Stay
Pros:

I stayed one night while in the area on business. The location is great. There are restaurants within walking distance and even more within a 5 minute drive. The front desk staff was super friendly. The room was spacious. The bed was amazing. It was so comfortable. The constant fan option offered just enough background noise I didn’t hear anyone all night. This will be my new go to moving forward

Great stay
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel after a cruise. We got off the ship at 745 in the morning. The hotel staff was very accommodating. They held our luggage while we explored the city and held our room until we got back to the hotel to check in. They were all very friendly and helpful. My husband used the hot tub and was pleased with the maintenance and upkeep. We did go to the lounge in the evening. The bar tender was fun and friendly. We ate breakfast in the cafe and were pleased with the menu. Over all we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

One of the best Marriotts!
Pros:

One of my favorite Marriott’s because of the staff and food. The location is amazing, next to a waterway, park, jogging trail with lots of benches and paddleboard rentals. Walkable to stores and other restaurants.

Disorganized service, billing errors, and a GM unwilling to listen
Pros:

I’ve stayed at hundreds of Marriott properties over several decades and hold a high-level Marriott Bonvoy status. This was, without question, one of the poorest experiences I’ve had—and not because of one mistake, but because of repeated missteps and how they were handled.

At Courtyard Marriott at Liberty Station, I was given conflicting information before arrival regarding airport transportation. I was told the hotel would arrange an Uber due to the late hour. Upon landing, I was told something entirely different: to order my own Uber and seek reimbursement. The reimbursement was incomplete and only corrected after I raised the issue—no proactive follow-through.

Despite clearly stating we did not have a car, we were still charged daily parking fees. Again, this required me to catch the error and request correction. At that point, my confidence in the accuracy of the billing was already shaken.

Because of those issues, I carefully reviewed the final invoice—and I’m glad I did. The final night’s rate was inexplicably about $50 higher than previous nights. When I questioned it, the response I received was essentially: you booked it, too bad. No effort to explain, investigate, or acknowledge the broader context of earlier billing mistakes.

The most disappointing part came when I spoke with the General Manager. Rather than listening to my experience or acknowledging the loss of trust, he focused on how long he has managed the property and how highly rated it is. He dismissed the idea that there could be a meaningful problem because of those ratings. That response alone told me everything I needed to know about the culture here.

Mistakes happen. What matters is ownership, transparency, and recovery. This property showed none of those. I will not stay here again and would strongly encourage other travelers—especially business travelers who value accuracy and professionalism—to review their bills carefully or consider staying elsewhere.

We were pleased and would stay here again.
Pros:

Complimentary laundry detergent came in handy. Heated pool and Jacuzzi was great. Fitness room was helpful. I didn’t use the bar, but I saw that it was well used. Surrounding area was so scenic and close to everything. Just a great stay over all.
