Hotel très agréable, a proximité de tout, commerce plage,
Friendly attentive staff
Good location
Bracelets to replace key cards
App to reserve sunbeds and the ability to see your bill
Paella was alway so good
Equipped gym
Spa service was great
Refillable water stations including sparkling water
I wish they used better quality ingredients for certain foods like eggs or cheese as they seemed tasteless,
Most of the food did not have salt - perhaps due to the older demographics
Pillows were a bit uncomfortable but not a major problem
Our stay was nothing short of exceptional! The location is absolutely perfect—being so close to such a beautiful beach made every morning a dream. The facilities are top-tier and well-maintained, but what truly set this hotel apart was the incredible staff. They were so caring and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. There was always a buzz around the property with plenty of activities and events going on, so we were never bored. If you're looking for a place that combines a great atmosphere with a personal touch, this is it
Lovely, light and airy.
This was our 6th visit to the Sabila. And we intend to return next year. That probably tells you all you need to know what we think!
Great service, food, pool, location - all we need.
It was an absolutely beautiful hotel and very clean. Food was superb. The lobster was delicious.
Or room was lovely and clean and a very nice outlook. We were looked after very well at check in and from the bar staff to restaurant staff to housekeeping staff all are lovely and welcoming.
Hotel is in a nice location and conveniently situated for a nice walk along the beach to La Caletta or the other way to Playa de las Americas.
Entertainment was good so were all the entertainment staff. Lovely chilling atmosphere. I do agree with all comments about sunbeds and booking them, but to have the system is still miles better than getting up at 7am to reserve a sunbed.
It’s a lovely hotel and well worth a visit.
I’m really mindful that many of my past reviews for hotels have been “5*” … We ummed and ahhhed about this hotel… a relatively last minute holiday booking a few weeks back. This hotel was definitely worth it and glad we chose Iberostar Selection Sabila, for our first visit to Tenerife. BOOK THIS HOTEL - IT’S EXCELLENT!
There was a little confusion as the British Airways website allowed me to book the package with a 17 1/2 year old (assumed our teenager an adult) and we subsequently discovered that the hotel does not allow “under 18s”. The Iberostar customer service website help desk was easy to navigate and requested a “call back” from their team. The call back was within a couple of minutes of the online request and the issue resolved very quickly. Such a relief.
Positives:
The staff are extremely helpful. Genuinely, every interaction with them will was enthusiastic and with a smile, humour and seemed happy to help. The trainee staff were super helpful and it was nice to see the regular staff being so supportive and professional with them
Clean and well presented, attractive hotel throughout - from communal areas, bar and the rooms. Very impressed. We were not disappointed and decent sea views from balcony. The rooms were generous in size as were the separate shower room and WC area
Thank goodness for the Nespresso machine (happy days!)
Buffet breakfast pretty decent and varied options - local fare and the usual suspects for an English breakfast, range of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well
Gourmet Market for lazy supper at hotel on 3 nights of our stay was excellent for meats and seafood (think 6-7 different stations each with its own chef preparing food fresh for guests.
Poolside - lots of sun loungers - there is an app to book but we struggled with it… didn’t work for us. Think it’s €3-5 pp per day. There are two lively members of staff Carmela and Santiago who you can book. Hot tip - come at 10:45am and if no lounger is claimed - it’s yours for the taking! I believe at this time if people have booked these on the app but not turned up to claim their lounger, they lose the booking. We thought it was goi g to be a bum fight in the morning, but actually quite relaxed experience. I imagine it would be potentially harder just after lunch for later arrivals to the pool. Hilarious team running the aqua aerobics around lunchtime. Some ballroom dancers came on one of the days. Regular visit from the local falcon and handlers to disrupt any pigeon parties at the pool side. Complimentary drinks from the bar around d 11ish.
Gym has a range of weights and equipment , running machine, elliptical. Some gym lessons and Pilates on offer. Has air conditioning, water and towels.
. Spa cute and easy to book treatments. The sauna is very small - though. Access to separate pool are and jacuzzi. Therapists lovely. We had the massage. Separate lockers slippers and robe provided.
The hotel is located near lots of amenities and mini and larger supermarkets, chemist etc. in fact there is medical centre next door. Lots of “colourful establishments “ opposite and souvenir shops for last minute gifts
Easy access to the beach from the spa and gym level as well as main entrance
Minor minor “Negatives”:
Nothing huge.
Our bedroom and balcony had view of pool and the bar entertainment area… so a wee bit noisy with usually excellent singing (Tina and Elton were in the menu)… but also from hotel opposite could be noisy. Not a Deal breaker though. Music stopped around 11pm.
The lifts could be quite slow but we didn’t mind as good to walk up and down the stairs.
Places we ate:
Iberacar - really lovely unpretentious restaurant about 9 minutes from the hotel hidden in a ? Shopping centre. Came here as we had been turned away from Pecamar on the floor above. Strongly recommend the asparagus, the octopus and prawns tapas - yum. Very good value for
Money
Finally got to book pecamar a few days later. Ok good thought overrated with attempts to have a bit of Asian fusion but thoughtful and
They tried hard.. we also tried their endives and octopus dishes.
Pizzeria Napule - cheap and cheerful pizza by a live karaoke bar
What a gem of a hotel, it’s our last day sadly. We have had a super time. Exceptional from start to finish. What makes this hotel special are the staff team. We have been looked after so well in the restaurant, cafes but the pool service is outstanding. Have to mention Carmela and Santiago (007) they are so calm, patient, helpful, and such lovely people. They strive to make everyone happy, quite a juggle with people demanding different sunbeds! Iberostar, you should be so proud of your amazing team, they are a credit to you. We would like to thank you all for a wonderful holiday.
Kaikki toimi erinomaisesti. Aamiainen ja illallinen käsittämättömän upeat. Rauhallinen hotelli. Siistit huoneet ja hyvät sängyt. Erinomainen palvelu. 10+
