Flot hotel fra det ydre, men noget træt og slidt indenfor.

Sehr schönes Hotel
Pros:

Beeindruckendes historisches Ambiente mit sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern. Das Frühstück war exzellent mit einer großen Auswahl und auch die Tapas aus der Tapas Bar waren sehr lecker! Es gab auch gute Matratzen (nicht unwichtig bei Rückenproblemen) und auch das angeschlossene Badezimmer war erfreulich geräumig.

Cons:

In unserem Zimmer war es trotz geschlossener Fenster und zugezogener Vorhänge bei der Ankunft sehr warm und stickig. Vielleicht könnte man für die Zimmer auf der Sonnenseite einen Ventilator oder eine kleine Klimaanlage anschaffen.

Wohlfühlambiente direkt am Kurpark
Pros:

Das Jugendstilambiente des großen Hotels ist beeindruckend, vor allem die Empfangshalle. Der Service, vor allem im großen Frühstücksraum, war äußerst freundlich. Gefallen hat uns auch, dass der Zimmerservice nur auf Bestellung kam. Das Zimmer war klein, aber gemütlich, mit einem Vorraum und einem geräumigen, schönen Bad, das Frühstück sehr gut und vielfältig, Schwimmbad- und Saunanutzung angenehm.

Cons:

Der bleischwere Schlüssel und die fehlenden Nachttischlampen.

Beinahe unwirklicher Sehnsuchtsort für Nostalgiker und Romantikfreunde
Pros:

Dieses Hotel ist gleichsam ein großes Kulturdenkmal des Jugendstils. Ein Großteil der Einrichtung scheint seit über 100 Jahren kaum verändert und da das Hotel seinerzeit als Luxus-Kurhotel konzipiert war, gleicht der Aufenthalt einer Zeitreise zurück in diese mondäne Vergangenheit. Thomas Mann hätte für seinen Zauberberg auch dieses Anwesen als Vorbild wählen können. Allein die vielen Gemälde entlang des opulenten Treppenhauses lohnen einen großen Rundgang. Großzügiger und gut besuchter Bäder- und Saunabereich.

Cons:

Man kann solch ein Haus nicht komplett unter Denkmalschutz stellen, Anpassungen an den heutigen Hotelbetrieb sind sicher unumgänglich, aber mindestens eine aufdringliche Lichtinstallation im Zimmer, geschätzt aus den 90er oder nuller Jahren wirkte ziemlich misslungen. Hier hätte man stilbewusster renovieren können. Die Öffnungszeit für den gut ausgestatteten Fitnessbereich könnte großzügiger sein.
