Dissapointing for a 4 star
Pros:

Just to start, we have been here the last week of the season so fully expected services to be scaled back. But a very mixed review here.

Staff - majority of staff have been really friendly and helpful. We appreciate they work really hard for the last 6 months and probably exhausted! But they've done well to power through and keep smiling.

Rooms/housekeeping-. The matresses on the sofa beds were very thin and uncomfortable. The main beds were a little hard but more comfortable than sofa beds! Rooms were clean, housekeeping staff have been brilliant. Work really hard, always on the go.

Pool/grounds - the pool area was kept tidy. The sunlougers are in need of a good clean and disinfect! But again, with it being the end of season, completely understand the cleaning happens when no ones there. There was always groundsmen gardening which was nice to see as the grounds are lovely.

Location- A few minutes walk to the beach, a minimarket behind the hotel, and locals bars, shops and restaurants within 15 minutes walk.

Food.. ..well! Major dissapointment here. Again, completely understand the end of the season so they're getting rid of everything in the kitchen. Breakfast was the best of the meals, marginally. But so much was cold. Luckily there's a microwave in the corner of the restaurant- a low point was having to reheat chips and rice! Which obviously brings with it food safety concerns. They had a 'pizza and pasta bar' which had been put out long before the restaurant opened so was dried out/crispy. So your left hunting through for edible pieces. Spaghetti was more like crispy noodles! Food took a long time to be replenished. Pizza was left out that long it was very dry (and of course, cold!) One one of my children is a picky eater and usually survives on pasta and chips but she struggled with cold chips and crispy pasta! I wouldn't say the choice was 4 star worthy. Warm food usually offered 2 meat options 2 fish options, 2 veggie options and chips and rice most days alongside salads, bread, soup, pasta/pizza, fruit and desserts. Desserts were nice but repetitive. And some joghurt/cream based desserts (Panna cotta, etc) had a foul taste. There was also a lack of staff on the restaurant floor cleaning up the spillages and food mess around the serving areas and checking the quality and quantity of the food.

Just to add, we dined at different times to see if there was a change in the service but there wasnt. A lot of the food was out on display long before the restaurant opened, drying out and going cold - you could see this through the doors when using the toilets nearby before it was opened.
The snack bar offered chips, burgers, hotdogs, a few pastries and fruit choices but become the go to after visiting the main restaurant in the afternoon as we couldn't usually manage to piece together a full meal in the restaurant l. And the food in there, albeit limited, was generally warm. Although we did have an occasion of nearly eating a raw burger from there, be careful! We did find everyone we spoke to had the same opinion, so it wasn't just us being a fussy family! The highlight of our dining during this stay was eating out.

I don't know what this is like during high season as we queued for meals even with very few people in the restaurant. And theres no other areas for food stations to be set up.

We had realistic expectations of out of season all inclusive as we have done them many times before. But we were definitely robbed with what we paid for this so called 4 star. And we will be taking it up with our tour operator.

Such a lovely hotel. Highly recommend!
Pros:

Globales Mediterrani you were amazing! My partner and I stayed for a week and have decided we would happily come back!

The hotel has a lovely scenic drive from the airport, where you get to see some beautiful views of Menorca. We were already impressed by the hotel from the outside but once we were checking in we were also really happy with the atmosphere in the main hall. The receptionists were lovely and so welcoming. We did forget about the tourist tax! However this was obviously our mistake. For 1 week we were charged €46.20.

We got given a room facing the front of the hotel, so we got a stunning view of Menorca. We were very glad to get this room as many people say the pool side can be fairly loud. During entertainment, you can hear what is going on downstairs but that is to be expected as we were just on the first floor.

We were very impressed with the room. It was noticeably cleaned prior to us arriving, there was a large wardrobe (including a fair amount of hangers!!), a bath / shower, desk with two chairs, two twin beds pushed together (we were already made aware of this when booking), a nice balcony with two chairs and a table, a perfect size tv for the room size etc. We did not feel we were missing anything in the room. We had good supply of towels and when the room got cleaned they were replaced.

Minor problems we found were the hand soap was oddly quite a reach from the bathroom sink? Was not an issue for us but maybe for others. The shower when used would typically soak the counter beside it so perhaps the shower head needs moving somewhere more suitable.

These issues were not a big deal for me and my partner, and we do feel the room was worth what we paid. We were very impressed with the condition the cleaners would leave our room in when they’d clean it!

We would argue the most impressive part of this hotel is the staff. The staff were all incredible. They were all so friendly and helpful! Many were up for a chat too which was lovely. The bartender / waiter Manu was a favourite of ours, he was always having a laugh with us. We noticed how professional they all seemed. They deserve lots of credit!

The two ladies that did the entertainment were amazing! We took part in quite a few activities provided like crossbow, air rifles, and archery. The entertainers were very good at getting people out of their comfort zone! We even received certificates for some games which was a nice touch.

The food provided was to a good standard. We went all inclusive and therefore took advantage. Breakfast was typically the same stuff every day with subtle changes every now and then. The food provided was perfect for people who love an english breakfast but there was also continental food and pastries provided too. Lunch and dinner had good varieties of foods every day. There was always a salad bar, and a different soup of the day. Along one side of the buffet there would be many unique new foods to try, but for more picky eaters (like me) there was a section further away with different pastas, sauces and pizzas.

Me and my partner were especially impressed with the dessert options every lunch and dinner time. There were always a good selection of different cakes and ice cream, with some pastries and different mousses etc. Lovely selection and we definitely made the most of our money with the desserts lol.

There were good selections of drink machines. Different fresh juices, some wines, soft drinks and beer on tap. Always ice, lemon and orange slices available which was a great touch. The all inclusive drinks were also something we took advantage of. There isn’t a huge selection of cocktails featured in the all inclusive section, but we found our favourites and stuck to them all week. You could also have hot drinks throughout the day and soft drinks etc.

We absolutely loved the entertainment provided in the evenings. We saw a Michael Jackson tribute act, a few singers, guitarists, and saw there was a magic act also coming up which we unfortunately missed. What we enjoyed the most was the karaoke night which many people got involved in.

There were three pools at this hotel but we only used the main one. It was a lovely, well maintained pool, however we found because of the time of year it was tricky to use as it is not heated. We did however enjoy it once we got fully in lol. Around the pool there are sun beds which do typically get claimed early on in the morning. There are however a lot more dotted around outside nearby other pools and the bar. No shortage whatsoever!

Two minutes from the hotel there is the Cala Blanca beach which is a lovely quick walk (takes you through a park!). The beach is small but has beautiful clear water. There is a restaurant and a bar beside it.

To the right of the hotel there is a supermarket which supplies pretty much anything you might need. Prices are pretty good too.

We recommend taking a trip down to Ciutadella. If you go to the bus stop right outside the hotel, I believe it is €1.70 per person and not a long trip whatsoever. It is a beautiful city to visit and spend a day at!

Overall we were extremely happy with our stay at Globales Mediterrani. We would highly recommend!

Globales Mediterrani
Pros:

From the moment we arrived at the Globales Mediterrani we were taken care of.
Friendly reception staff, we asked for a quiet room, we were at the front of the hotel facing the fields and trees lovely sunrises, beautiful gardens all around the hotel grounds.
The teams in the restaurants/kitchens were out standing, excellent choice of food always fresh, good choice of drinks, never any queues.
The bar staff inside and outside were always friendly and helpful, good choice of drinks.
The Hotel was spotless, the house keeping team always friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the entertainment each night excellent entertainers and musicians, the entertainment team worked very hard during the day and evening thanks to them.
Our TUI rep was lovely,
Lots of outdoor space around the three pools, and the sunbathing area's.
Outside the Hotel a beautiful Cala and restaurants, bus stop outside the back gate, turn right from the back gate few shops, on the left near the shops an ally way with bars, supermarkets, restaurants leading down to the the Irish Bar, and the seafront again beautiful views.
We would recommend the full day boat trip it was stunning, a day in Ciutadella not to be missed.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Pros:

Good:
Overall we enjoyed our week in Globales Mediterrani although the weather was rather poor in the early days.
Hotel in nice quiet area

ALL STAFF ARE BRILLIANT!!!
Scan QR code for hotel info 👍
Really good WiFi throughout the complex

No problem getting a sun lounger but they need a good scrub and the umbrellas are minging and need upgrading, a few have been changed.

Room was decorated fine, lack of shelves above the safe in the closet - easy to sort out.
Beds were comfortable and extra pillows supplied. Air con really good.

Good arrangement of kettle etc
Good size mugs in the room, need a spoon.

Food is subjective, but we did find it a bit hit and miss really, some nice and some not so nice.
Strange how lunch often was better than evening meal??
Mostly tray baked meals for self service.

Good snack bar inside and outside seating with free ice cream from a freezer when it’s open but strange opening times tbh
Food in there varies with the time of day.
I would expect a snack bar to be open most of the time but especially when the restaurant is closed, but not here!

Bad:
Only one self service Sangria tap working in the whole complex ie 2 in dining room and 1 in snack are not connected. Sangria was available over the pool bar.
Why isn’t beer available on self service around the bars as is in the restaurant?? It would reduce queuing which can get tiresome although the staff were super efficient!

Dining experience was the worst we ever experienced and we travel loads, crowded tables, unable to walk between tables, tables and pillars too close to food area which means it’s difficult to walk around to view food on offer which then results in queues building up, stupid layout!!

Shower over the bath is absolutely dreadful, glass doors leak, shower head is too near to one end of the bath which soaks the shelf.
Soap and gels dispensers but poor quality. Crazy that you need to lean over the bath to get hand soap from the dispenser to use for the sink!!!

Plenty of hot water at a good pressure tho, but you are standing in a bath - remember that if you are not nimble on your feet.

No where to sit quietly of an evening - it’s outside, in a noisy overcrowded show lounge.
Or on 3 couches in reception if you were lucky??

Ugly:
Safe - cost for a week was a disgusting 38€ plus 10€ key deposit, not even an electronic combination safe - Globales should be ashamed of themselves making this charge. Also you need to be aware that they only accept cash for the safe charge 😱
Of course it was our choice to pay it, but if we didn’t then insurance would be null and void should something go missing in the room.

Old tables around bar/pool area were years past the useable date (see pic) yes they were cleaned, but you probably know the saying that you can’t polish a …..

Floors were washed but never properly cleaned as sun beds were not moved during cleaning.
Dreadful state on sun umbrellas, ready for the dump!

There needs to be No Smoking signs on the room balcony, we had selfish people next to us so we often couldn’t use the balcony first thing in the morning or leave the door open - there are NO ashtrays in the room/balcony - there’s the clue!!

There’s a huge problem with a dreadful sulphur smell in the sea water. Did not swim because of this, it’s foul!! This is surely a health hazard and we would like our Tourist taxes put to good use there - THE BEACH IS UNUSABLE, sadly!

Food:
Food is plentiful with some days better than others. It’s strange that they show cook only on a lunchtime??
Basic salad items with nothing prepared in and enticing way

Breakfast is ok with most basic things you would expect, no egg cups, but there are only hard boiled eggs anyway.

Pasta section is shocking, not going to elaborate, but my wife is a veggie and usually relies on pasta. We had to ask the Maître d’ for a change from tomato soup type sauce and bolognese - we had a ‘cheddar cheese’ sauce 😱
There were some veggie items on offer which was nice.

Mostly the ‘hot’ food is mainly tray baked meals. No show cooking with the exception of a small hot plate sometimes grilling small bits of fish or meat. It is definitely not 4 star standard that’s for sure. I know the manager will respond in a way - “sorry it didn’t meet ‘YOUR’ expectations” 🤷‍♂️

2 good hot plates racks and a microwave which is often needed for a hot meal!

Drinks:
Proper Bacardi
J&B whiskey
Also good Spanish brands of Gin etc
Sangria on tap (some places)
Campari copy is excellent
The 3 types of wine on tap - self service in the eating areas.

Machine coffee is ok ish

Things we accept as the norm:
Tourist tax - 46.2€ for two per week card or cash)
Towels 10€ deposit / 1€ per towel change (cash)
Cleanliness if the rooms were fine.
Pools are cool at first due to this being a summer hotel ie not heated and your body temp being raised. But lovely as far as we were concerned- refreshing swim.

Would like to see some good cycle tracks along the main road so that you could get to Ciutadella easily on a bike.

Overall it was ok, it’s NOT 4* it might have been when it was built but that’s some time ago.

We guessed it might not be up to standard, but as we had a deal we’d give it a try - we would come back if a deal materialised again.

Thank you so much
Pros:

This was our third stay at this lovely hotel. Unfortunately my husband was taken ill and had to go to hospital. I would like to thank the team at the reception who showed compassion and kindness to me throughout this difficult time. I would also like to say thank you to the TUI representative Cecilia who was efficient, helpful and so kind. Thank you once again and we hope to return next year to this lovely hotel and beautiful Island. Mr and Mrs Smalley Room 124.

Relaxing four night break
Pros:

We returned to this hotel for a four day break. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel, grounds, and pool are maintained immaculately, and it is all scrupulously clean. The food is buffet style. There is something for everyone. The tapas night was a highlight.

Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, and serviced daily.

The “resort” of Cala Blanca is small, and quiet. There are several hotels, and a handful of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and a pharmacy.

There is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel, with a regular service to Ciutadella, a beautiful little city, with a spectacular harbour and architecture.

Downsides? It is definitely quiet, very quiet. That was what we were looking for. The room safe is dear.

We would definitely return.

The Globales Mediterrani is a lovely hotel which is spotless and a credit to every member of the team
Pros:

The Globales Mediterrani is a lovely hotel which is spotless and a credit to every member of the team. The team are always friendly and helpful and it really does show. The room was modern and overlooking the rear of the property - you can sometimes hear the coaches doing collections and drop offs. Food is fairly decent for buffet style and you can help yourself to drinks, beer, soft drinks and house wines are all available on tap. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the cove of Cala Blanca which is clean.

Carlitos
Pros:

This was our second stay at Globales Mediterrani, and once again, we had a wonderful time.
We’d like to give a special mention to Carlitos, who truly stands out from the rest of the staff. He is one of the most professional and dedicated people we’ve encountered on any holiday. What makes him exceptional is his incredible work ethic and his genuine, people-focused attitude. Carlitos is fast, efficient, polite, and charming — he consistently goes the extra mile to make every guest’s experience more enjoyable, always with a smile.
As returning guests, we were surprised to see Carlitos still working as a waiter, as we honestly expected him to have been promoted to a more challenging position that reflects his talent and dedication. Someone with such exceptional ability and passion for hospitality truly deserves recognition. He is, quite simply, worth his weight in gold, and we hope the management values him as much as the guests do.

We’re already looking forward to our next stay in summer 2026.

A pleasant experience
Pros:

Stayed 11 nights, room clean and big enough for 2, balcony looked over the carpark and countryside unfortunately this meant we could hear coaches and lorries reversing beeps very early in the morning maybe best to book a Seaview or the annexes to avoid this. Every member of staff was helpful and always had a smile, they all worked really hard. The food was fairly good we ate well, could do with another coffee machine for breakfast time, puddings a bit repetitive. In all we had a good time Menorca is a lovely island .

The staff are the highlights!
Pros:

The staff here are happy, hard working and very helpful. Rooms are spacious but basic. Hotel is exceptionally clean. Location across the road from the beach is great. Good selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Two things let this hotel down.
The single large and noisy buffet restaurant is not what you would expect in a 4 Star hotel - 3 star at best. The food is luke warm and bland and after time under the heat lamps dried up. Its basically very similar food every day. There was a table with speciality dish shes on a couple of days and the sushi was good but went very quickly - had to get in early. There are no chefs cooking freshly cooked food in the restaurant - eg pasta, omelettes or BBQ which is usually a standard feature in an all inclusive. Breakfast was the best serving, however we could not understand why they put out fruit that was not ripe - we cant eat hard nectarines or fibrous bananas. They wouldn’t need to do much to improve the food quality.
The inside bar area was cold and noisy. The entertainment area is in the main bar so there is nowhere to sit for a quiet drink and talk when it is cold outside. Would really benefit from a separate inside bar or at least some heaters outside.
Overall we had a good time here for the price we paid but would have been disappointed if this was our only holiday or if we had paid peak season prices.

4 Star hotel , mixed feelings.
Pros:

Just returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday.
The hotel and grounds are immaculate , rooms are quite spacious.Take a little wander around the grounds to appreciate the fauna and flowers.
The staff are so friendly and strive to meet your expectations , nothing is ever a problem.
Hover there are issues that has been mentioned fom reviwers but not been acted on.
The pools temps are icy cold , so much that a quick dip and out again , the temp need increasing a few degrees.
The layout of the buffet area needs improving , you que from the salad area in a circular route to get to the hot food station , long ques soon develop.
This could easily be resolved by keeping the salad area apart the same as the starters and sweet sections.
Speaking of food , the quality is only average and lukewarm to tepid.
One reply was that they cater for a wide clientele , sorry but thats not good enough.
If these issues were addressed , the hotel would be worthy of a 4 star experience status, but presently it is not.

Definitely worth a visit
Pros:

Just returned, Around 45-50mins bus ride to hotel from airport with 5or6 drops before hand. city taxi was 46.20 euro for 2 people for a week. Safe 38 euro and 10 back on return of signed slip. Room was clean and spacious, towels, body wash and hand soap provided. Tea and coffee facilities(mugs not tiny cups) Towels changed every 2nd day (I left them in bath) beds tidied unsure if changed in that week. TV has a few English channels.
Food although plenty wasn't hot, just warm. Plenty of cards to let you know of allergens, no gluten free area, I had to ask a few people before they got me some bread and then later a roll, ended up buying some bread at supermarket. You can fill water bottles here, the bar outside or snack area. Ice cream free in snack area not at outside bar. Drinks are good, decent measures. We had no problems with sun loungers, some low music in all 3 sun lounge areas would be good, as would putting little hooks in all the ladies bathrooms and better electric hand driers . Entertainment was ok but the pillers spoilt the view of the stage and it can become very noisy, an independent evening bar/sports bar with TV may work to help there .Small beach 2mins walk away. Plenty of little gift shops and supermarkets. All the staff were great . Up at the Blarney stone is a definite to see a great sunset, There's a small gym , book day before and theres a complimentary room free for half hour to freshen up on last day , again book day before. Lockable room for luggage on your last day if you have later flight.
Would I return, yes definitely, all holidays have small things we would change if we could. Definitely worth a visit.

How do they do it for the price.
Pros:

Just returned after two fantastic weeks at this hotel.

We booked relatively recently and were surprised how cheap the deal was.

Only two negative points and one niggle.

As others have said the charge for safety deposit boxes seems a bit on the high side. We didn’t bother and had no issues with leaving valuables in the room.
The €1 charge for changing towels. Could rack up some extra pounds but in reality it helps the environment if people are not changing towels needlessly.

This hotel like many others charges a tourist tax. Be prepared. I think this was in the region of £65 per room for two weeks. I wish tour operators would include this in their prices. Not a fault of the hotel.

Food was plentiful and varied. Always a choice of three or four meat dishes and a couple of fish dishes at lunch and dinner, in addition there was pasta and pizza. Breakfast is what you’d expect. Normal cooked variety plus continental selection of meats, cheeses pastries and a variety of fruit.

The property is exceptionally clean. The staff are present all day cleaning the rooms and public areas.

Waiting staff very friendly as are the bar staff. Always smiling and polite. Animation team worked hard and were also friendly and helpful.

Entertainment fantastic. Semi professional/ professional entertainers for 12 nights out of the 14 we were there. These ranged from an ABBA tribute band to duets, male and female singers, a crossover opera style duo, a Michael Jackson tribute a magician and acrobats. Other nights karaoke. Bingo every evening for those so inclined.

We spent most of the time by the upper pool. Lovely area and hot when the sun came out.

Nearby beach busy but sea warm and clean. Ideal for snorkeling.

We caught the but to Ciutadella and to Mahón, only a few pounds. Went on a boat trip organised by the hotel reception. All day lunch included for €55 pp.

For those looking for nightlife this is not the resort for you. There are a few bars, cafes and shops a few hundred yards from the hotel. Out of the back gate turn right. The pharmacist and doctor are also near the shops. The bus stop is also by the back gate. Reception staff very helpful regarding bus times and will also arrange taxis.

All in all a brilliant holiday. Don’t know how this hotel dies it for the price!

Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Pros:

Beautiful clean hotel staff lovely couldn't fault this hotel but the restaurant lets it down the way the food is set out had to start in queue for salad and work your way around to hot food(not that hot)by they time you had collected food it was cold and some people picking up and putting down they should have had a salad bar separate then the hot food we didn't even see there was pizza and pasta on because it was further away and people were sitting in front of it took 2 days before we found it they need to reorganise the food layout as it is it's not good the only thing that let's this lovely hotel down

The good and the bad
Pros:

We stayed for a week at the Mediterrani recently we were initially put in room 110 at the rear of the hotel overlooking the bins the room was really noisy and next to a generator so we asked to move although we couldn't until the next day as was told it was full. We were allocated another room the next day which was better. The hotel is in a quiet location with not much in the vicinity and a small beach nearby. The hotel was clean and staff were attentive and pleasant. The drink quality is average but limited cocktails which were rubbish. Queues in the restaurant particularly in the evening choices were not great dried pasta and pizza, undercooked rice, either chicken or pork most nights, everything tastes bland, no fresh omelette for breakfast just undercooked bacon and watery scrambled egg which was disappointing. Overall 3* definitely not a 4

We were allocated a room on the 4th (top) floor overlooking the front of the hotel. Fabulous view of the sunrise each morning.
Very comfortable beds and plenty of storage space.
Decent hairdryer in the bathroom but I wasn’t keen on the over bath shower, which I had to hurdle in and out of each time which wasn’t ideal as my balance can be a bit off!
Good choice of food although the queuing can be tedious. We were there in mid Sept - I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the summer.
Evening entertainment was excellent - and the aqua Zumba class was brilliant - especially if nutty Lara was leading it!
A short walk from the gate at the rear of the hotel takes you to the beach - the sea was like a warm Bath.
I can appreciate the charges for pool towel hire and a further charge to change your towel but I’ve never been in a decent hotel that charges for safe hire!! I thought that was a cheek!
All in all a fabulous hotel with happy friendly staff and I’d be happy to return.
