Pros:

Location was great & staff was friendly & free parking

Cons:

It’s very stark, not even a phone, clock radio, table lamp on end table or painting on wall. I also got several huge itchy bites on my ankle (6 or 7 bites) in the night. Found hair in shower as well. Probably won’t be back. We also went to front desk for a bottle opener & they didn’t have one

The location was good and they offer free parking. Rooms were a good size and clean

Cons:

Reception area and hallways very tired and not clean and there is no lift. Beds only came with thin blankets, no duvets provided, so we had to keep the heating on 24/7 which dried the air out extremely and was also really loud. When checking in, a male staff member failed to inform us there was no hot water in the whole property and gladly took our money. As we arrived straight from the airport after a flight from the UK, we headed out to get some dinner as soon as we dropped our bags so didn’t realise there was no hot water until we got back around 9pm. A said male in the reception then advised their boiler broke down and there was nothing that could be done that night but promised it would be fixed at 7am the next morning. Too tired to argue we went to bed without showers and at 7am there was still no hot water nor the said male receptionist and when a new member of staff was asked about the water situation she seemed to have no idea about it all and offered another room key for us to have a shower in(with no hot water too). When confronted again she was on the phone to ‘a manager’ who clearly didn’t think this was an emergency as wasn’t rushing to come in to deal with it and offered no solution except from waiting for it to be fixed in ‘a few hours’. Don’t be fooled by newly renovated rooms (which is very basic), if the management didn’t bother investing in essentials like boilers then who knows what else can go wrong there.

Very convenient to visit the falls but is a 2 star hotel.
Pros:

We liked the location not too far from both the actual Falls and Clifton hill about 15 min walk each way. The free parking.

Cons:

The heating wasn’t working (we stayed in Winter). Only mentioned this when checking out as we were only there 2 nights. The staff were very apologetic when advised.
