Everything you don’t want after a long day of travel: long queue at checkin, no room service, reception doesn’t pick up the phone, hotel restaurant rejects us because we have no reservation, hotel bar is a complete zoo with dirty dishes standing on tables everywhere and staff refuses to serve you (we had to get dinner from a supermarket), hard foldout bed for the kids with dirty and subpar linnen. Most horrendous airport hotel experience ever.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the hotel while attending a training program, and I was thoroughly impressed by both the property and the level of service throughout my stay.
Although I arrived early on Sunday and was fully prepared to simply store my luggage, the receptionist proactively checked for room availability and was able to accommodate me. He was exceptionally friendly, professional, and welcoming, which set a very positive tone from the outset.
The rooms are spotless, modern, and highly comfortable. The banquet team ensured that we were extremely well looked after during our lunches and coffee breaks, with attentive and efficient service. I also dined at the hotel on three evenings and was consistently impressed by both the quality of the cuisine and the high standard of service.
My sincere thanks to the entire team for their outstanding hospitality. Please keep up the excellent work.
My stay at the Radisson blue in Rümlang was a lineup of failures - start to finish.
Incompetent and arrogant staff at the front desk, security breaches (assigning my room to another party after I occupied it, granting them access with a key without my consent or knowledge, with my pet in the room at the time). The hotel owned restaurant providing a service that does not deserve to be called that. Including prompting for tip by the waiter. Repeatedly non-working room keys. The bathroom in my room emitting a pleasant urine odor and mold and lime scale in the shower. The GM using sloppy salutations in communications about those un-worldly experiences.
That's as close as you can come to a hospitality hell.
Early departure need less hustle, good for short stay, not long stay especially there’s no view from the window
The hotel is conveniently located in the airport. Very well presented, cleaned and maintained. Very friendly staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had an amazing time. Many thanks!
Painfully expensive location for food ($50 burger...) and drink but convenient location once you can find your way through the labarinthyne track from station to hotel... the mediocre signposting is the fault of the airport not the hotel...but easiest route is simply get outside from check-in areas and walk beside the road .....
Stayed for one night for transit only. Too expensive. Arrived after 10 pm. Restaurant was closed for the day. No food or room service available. Shower and tub area too small and tight. Could be designed better. Needs improvement. Small beds but excellent quality bedding and room temp control so was able to get a good night sleep at least. But based on all of the above, would not pay this much to stay there again. Nor recommend. And Too expensive. Chose because of proximity to Zurich airport and accessible from inside airport. But still have to clear passport control. So no advantage there either.
Service was quick and efficient. Super practical that you can walk to and from the airport indoors and in literally 2 minutes!
This hotel is very convenient for travelers departing early in the morning or arriving late at night, and the rooms are comfortable.
Unfortunately, our experience with the staff was disappointing. At check-in, the receptionist did not greet us and continued chatting with colleagues instead. At check-out, the receptionist appeared disengaged and offered no courtesy or acknowledgment.
Given the otherwise convenient location and comfortable rooms, we feel that improved staff training—particularly regarding professionalism and basic hospitality—would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Very clean hotels and friendly employees. Keep up the good work.location was great for traveling.
Like the shoe machine.
We had a very good stay at the hotel. It is right at the airport so very convenient and only 10 minutes by train to the centre of Zurich. The rooms are clean and spacious. We also tried out the robot mini bar service. Quite good.
I had an early morning flight from Zurich so I checked into the Radisson Blu the day before. The hotel ticks all the boxes. First of all it is super practical. I just had a short walk inside the airport to check in terminal 2. The baggage cart was a super help to carry my 2 suitcases. The hotel is very very nice and super clean - as you would naturally expect in Switzerland. The rooms are large and very well furnished - also sound proofed. All in all a great experience which I will repeat again.
Shocking service for a hotel that is supposedly a four star hotel. No robe or slippers in the bathroom -which I only discovered when I had gotten out of the shower. Called down for one, as well as some room service (from the room service
menu on the tv) and then waited.......
10 minutes later I received a call from room
service to tell me I either need to pay 12CHF for someone to bring me my food, or I can 'come and
get it myself...!
I told them 'I'm sitting in a towel waiting for a bathrobe, and why on earth would you ask me to pay 12CHF to service to my room when the entire concept of 'room service' is that it is service to your room? The lady at room service was very apologetic and said 'yes it's ridiculous and everyone complains but | totally understand.
then called reception to chase my bathrobe which had now been 25 mins late. I asked about this 'fee'
for someone to come up in the elevator with my food and her answer was 'all hotels do this' (not true, I travel weekly!).
She then suggested I should come down to collect my bathrobe! Finally someone arrived with my bathrobe but no slippers, so then I had to wait again for some slippers. I decided to use the ‘Jeeves’ snack robot and order some snacks instead. Guess what? ‘This service is currently out of order’. So I got dressed, walked to the airport Coop and bought my own dinner. If you want to charge people to bring room service to a room then include the cost in the menu items.
This is a small hotel with about 30 seconds trip between my room and where was told to come to to 'collect my food' - that's not an exaggeration!
Out of principle I am not prepared to pay someone 12CHF to bring a 19CHF caesar salad up in the elevator for me, nor am I prepared to go downstairs in a bathrobe and slippers to collect my own 'room service' from a 4* hotel! Nor am I prepared to accept that a hotel can call itself a 4* when there is nothing in the minibar even when the minibar service is out of order, and there is no option to have ‘room service’ without paying someone to come up in the lift to bring it, nor is there so much of a wine glass in the room for your cheap Coop screw top that you have to resort to.
SHOCKING. I will never ever stay here again.
The room was very dark/poorly lit. Walls were dirty (scuffs everywhere & children’s stickers on wall). Sink and toilet were stained/worn/peeling finishes. Dirty frayed rug. Basic amenities were lacking, including no washcloths and a low-quality hairdryer. Most concerning, the outside door handle had exposed electronics! Overall, the room felt neglected and in need of significant repair and attention. Gross and expensive.
1. The lighting in the entire room was horrible. I had to use my phone flash light to see things inside my suit case. Please upgrade your lamp bulbs and add over head lights.
2. Bathroom was not stocked with fresh toilet paper. Both rolls were almost empty,
3. No wash clothes had to ask.
I will not stay here again.
Great that the hotel is within the airport complex and walkable but that’s all I can recommend. Long lines at checkin added to a very long process. They seem to have lost a package I had sent to the hotel but found it the day after I left and now can’t ship it because of tariffs.
Like I mentioned everything was fine with my stay with you all besides the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in.
We stay at the radisson blue Zurich hotel each time we travel. The hotel's location is excellent and the room is spacious enough. The check in and checkout is efficient and smooth, breakfast is adequate. So far no issue.
The issue arise when I really needed to contact the hotel. In the midst of departing in a hurry, I left my bag in the room. I noticed only at the airport after the security check. So me and my husband tried to contact them. It goes through the call center, going to supposedly the reception. However, each time the call was disconnected as no body was answering the phone. We tried more than 10 times. We tried all the possible options we could within the call center options. Nothing worked. Nothing. Luckily I do not believe that I have something important in the bag, so I sent an email and now hoping they receive the email, and reply to my email. I didn't receive even an automated email confirming that I am addressing to the right channel.
In this part, the hotel fails grandiosely and I will reconsider in the future when I need to reserve a hotel near the Zurich airport.
Just for a night staying , and I had to be near the train station. Good location, felt safe, clean room and beautiful decorated.
Horrible hotel. The rooms are so dark and gloomy. The reception staff is so arrogant and there is zero hospitality or customer service from the staff. This shows probably how toxic the management must be at Radisson Blu. Would never ever stay in any Radisson Blu thanks to this horrible hotel. Not worth the money. Spend your money elsewhere.
