The room was amazing. Felt like staying in a historical Venetian palace for the price of a standard US hotel room.
Service was amazing and breakfast was delightful. Location was very convenient to a San Marco but not overwhelmed by tourist.
Had beautiful view out window to large plaza.

Everything about the hotel was calm. The staff were particularly helpful, professional and polite. The hotel is in a great location, very near the touristy area but not right in it, and there is a free shuttle watertaxi service from the hotel. The rooms are not ultra modern, but are impeccably clean, comfortable and spacious - all of which are more important to me!

Returned to Venice for our 8th visit, this time with friends who had not been before. Wanted everything to be great for our friends, so returning to Ruzzini Palace was an obvious choice for us. Hotel has its own canal docking, so arrived in style via private taxi boat straight from airport to Hotel door ( this is subject to tides) - good start - no lugging suitcases around! Warm greeting from staff, quick book-in, and up to rooms. Allocated 2 x deluxe attic rooms next to each other - very nice indeed. Huge comfortable bed, small desk/office space, fridge, kettle with tea and coffee (no milk - need to ask/get from hotel bar), and window views over Venice roofs to St Marks bell tower. Well appointed bathroom, with huge shower - excellent water pressure. Everything very clean, and serviced daily. Hotel itself is a lovely building, with huge piazza directly in front - gives the feeling of space, which is quite rare in Venice. 2 minute walk to StMarks (off to the right) or to the lagoon (go straight in front of hotel). Breakfast was adequate - plenty of choice - hot and cold. One small criticism was that coffee was self-serve from machine - would expect fresh coffee to be served at the table for a hotel of this stature. If you choose not to take breakfast at the hotel, lovely coffee / cakes shop can be found at the back of hotel - turn left and go straight, over 1 bridge, about 150 yards. Overall, another excellent stat at Ruzzini Palace. Would not hesitate to recommend to all.
Fabulous hotel, staff are excellent, room fantastic. Right in the heart of Venice but away from the crowds. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a long weekend sight seeing. Great recommendations for restaurants and the barman was superb. Clean and tidy throughout, with great historic features. Good value for money. The staff are the jewel in the crown.
This is our 3rd time visiting venice and our second stay at Ruzzini Palace. The hotel is great and staff are all friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is great, short walk to most hot spots. Our highlight of staying at Ruzzini is returning to the bar of an evening, Guerino (Rino) is fantastic, definitely the best cocktails I've had. I also like to ask him to suprise me, and he's never made me a drink I haven't liked! Thank you to all for making this another wonderful trip to venice!
We have now stayed at Ruzzini Palace twice, and we absolutely adore it. The hotel is rich in history, immaculately clean, and the staff are truly exceptional. One person who consistently stands out is Rino at the bar. His bartending skills are outstanding—he has an incredible talent for surprising us with beautifully crafted drinks featuring flavour combinations we’d never imagine could work, yet always do.
Leaving our favourite place is always bittersweet, but it only makes us more excited to return again very soon.
This hotel is amazing! It is literally an historic palace converted to a hotel. The suite was amazing! The bar tender was fantastic and gave us lots of attention. We felt extremely welcome.
The gentlemen at the front desk warmly welcomed us upon our arrival and were also very attentive to our needs. They graciously made recommendations for dining and ways to navigate Venice. The room was perfect and spacious, overlooking a quiet canal. The location at Campo Santa Maria Formosa was ideal to explore Venice. Unquestionably we will return to the Ruzzini Palace Hotel on our next visit to Venice.

It is a very beautiful place, situated in on old venetian palazzo overlooking the Campo Santa Maria Formosa (one of my favorite campi in Venezia).
The staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful in every aspect.
At first we were given a room, which in our opinion, didn`t fully live up to the category we had booked (superior). When we told this to the satff, they immediately gave us another room without any discussion.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the conveniently located Ruzzini Palace Hotel. The view of the plaza was lovely, and the room was quiet, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated in a classic style but not too old-fashioned. The staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
It was a great experience. The hotel is a beautiful old building, it's perfectly located in the city center and the staff was lovely.
The location is fabulous, the breakfast is wonderful, and the staff is extremely helpful. Initially, I’d booked a room on the canal thinking it would be fun and exciting. Unfortunately, I realized all too quickly that the canals are like city streets so they can be rather loud. Because the hotel had turned off the AC already for the season, I had to open the window to get cooler air, which made it hard for me to sleep given the noise and uncomfortable temp in the room. The next morning, I shared my issue with the staff, and they booked me right away into a different room overlooking the piazza. They even turned on the AC for me! This speaks a lot to the kind of service you will get at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel. I was very impressed! I also loved the location as it is only a 7 minute walk to St. Mark’s Square and all of Venice’s amazing attractions. Another big plus: the hotel offers a free water taxi ride to Murano Island with a glass blowing demonstration at one of the factories, which was terrific. It is easy to get from Murano Island to Burano Island and then back to the hotel. I also would definitely recommend paying the high fee to get picked up from the airport, because it’s all a bit confusing when you first land, but the front desk patiently helped me to figure out how to take public transportation on the way back to Marco Polo Airport, which was easy and very doable. Thank you, Ruzzini Palace, for a fabulous stay! I am very appreciative.
We had a wonderful stay at Ruzzini Palace! They had great communication, helped us arrange a pickup at the Venice airport, and were so helpful with restaurant recommendations, tour ideas and logistics during our stay. The breakfast was good and the service by the staff was top notch! The rooms were charming and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again!!
Beautiful stylish hotel with large beds, less than 10 minutes from St Mark’s and the Rialto Bridge. Located in a large square with 2 buzzy bars, a church and art gallery and backing on to a canal. All the staff were exceptionally helpful with travel and dining advice, with a special mention for Rino who served our new favourite Select Spritz and nibbles at their cosy canal-side table for two. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
The hotel was 10/10, amazing, in a great location and so clean and beautiful! The staff if very nice and accommodating at all times, front desk gives the best recommendations of places to go as well! The canal view from the room was outstanding! I would recommend this hotel every time!
