We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the conveniently located Ruzzini Palace Hotel. The view of the plaza was lovely, and the room was quiet, comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated in a classic style but not too old-fashioned. The staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
It was a great experience. The hotel is a beautiful old building, it's perfectly located in the city center and the staff was lovely.
The location is fabulous, the breakfast is wonderful, and the staff is extremely helpful. Initially, I’d booked a room on the canal thinking it would be fun and exciting. Unfortunately, I realized all too quickly that the canals are like city streets so they can be rather loud. Because the hotel had turned off the AC already for the season, I had to open the window to get cooler air, which made it hard for me to sleep given the noise and uncomfortable temp in the room. The next morning, I shared my issue with the staff, and they booked me right away into a different room overlooking the piazza. They even turned on the AC for me! This speaks a lot to the kind of service you will get at the Ruzzini Palace Hotel. I was very impressed! I also loved the location as it is only a 7 minute walk to St. Mark’s Square and all of Venice’s amazing attractions. Another big plus: the hotel offers a free water taxi ride to Murano Island with a glass blowing demonstration at one of the factories, which was terrific. It is easy to get from Murano Island to Burano Island and then back to the hotel. I also would definitely recommend paying the high fee to get picked up from the airport, because it’s all a bit confusing when you first land, but the front desk patiently helped me to figure out how to take public transportation on the way back to Marco Polo Airport, which was easy and very doable. Thank you, Ruzzini Palace, for a fabulous stay! I am very appreciative.
We had a wonderful stay at Ruzzini Palace! They had great communication, helped us arrange a pickup at the Venice airport, and were so helpful with restaurant recommendations, tour ideas and logistics during our stay. The breakfast was good and the service by the staff was top notch! The rooms were charming and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again!!
Beautiful stylish hotel with large beds, less than 10 minutes from St Mark’s and the Rialto Bridge. Located in a large square with 2 buzzy bars, a church and art gallery and backing on to a canal. All the staff were exceptionally helpful with travel and dining advice, with a special mention for Rino who served our new favourite Select Spritz and nibbles at their cosy canal-side table for two. Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
The hotel was 10/10, amazing, in a great location and so clean and beautiful! The staff if very nice and accommodating at all times, front desk gives the best recommendations of places to go as well! The canal view from the room was outstanding! I would recommend this hotel every time!
The staff, morning and night were friendly, informative and solved any issue we had. The bar man was a star- great cocktail maker! Great location and having a water taxi to the door even more convenient with cases!
Stayed here for 2 nights in October. Everything about this hotel was fantastic! The concierge helped us organise a water taxi from the airport prior to arrival, which dropped us direct at the hotel door a lovely experience and welcome to Venice. We were treated to an upgrade , a beautiful junior suite and also early asses to the room.
The whole hotel was extremely clean. ideal location close enough to all the main attractions but in a quieter square, with just a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop. The breakfast was very good, and staff helpful and polite throughout our stay, we could not find a fault with this hotel and will definitely be back next time we visit Venice.
Fantastic hotel, centrally located and friendly staff. The rooms were spacious and I loved the power shower. The location was the highlight and only 10 mins from the Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Also really close to all the fantastic shops. The breakfast was varied, only wish there were more coffee choices.
Absolutely beautiful hotel. The staff were incredibly professional and courteous. The room was excellent. I recommend the canal views. Even our gondola ride went by our hotel and we could see our balconies.

My wife and I visited the Ruzzini Palace hotel in early October. What a great property! It’s right on one of the canals and you can take a water taxi either from the main station or from the airport to the main door. It’s also well situated within a five - ten minute walk to nearly everywhere we went. The rooms were well furnished and were a good size. Great morning breakfast, if that’s included in your reservation. Special shout out to Sandro who was staffing the front desk during the days when we were there. We would definitely stay there again!
The hotel is in a great location, while also benefiting from being a quiet location. A mere 5 minutes walk to Basilica San Marco and the Doges Palace, and 8 minutes away from the Rialto Bridge, the hotel is ideal for all the main sites in Venice. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.
We stayed in a classic room on the ground floor and we found the room to be spacious, with an excellent bed. The only niggle was the shower was very powerful, leading to soaked floor on the first morning. We learned our lesson on the next morning.
Breakfast was hosted in small(ish) room, but was filled with lovely food, suiting all tastes.
A special mention to the barman on our stay, who was a credit to the hotel and very helpful.
Had a suite looking out on plaza. Rooms are great, hotel is beautiful, staff is fantastic and everything is basically in walking distance. Couldn’t ask for a more Italian experience. Included breakfast is a feast.
We have just had our 6th visit to this amazing Hotel. The hotel is situated on the Campo di Santa Maria Formosa, which has various restaurants and cafes allowing you to people watch and chill. The reception area is very modern but portrays the elegance of its past. The staff there are exceptionally helpful, polite, and nothing seems to awkward to ask of them. The rooms are modern, but original beams are still in situ, bathrooms are kept to a high standard and cleaning staff are amazing. The breakfasts at hotel offer a vast selection to choose from. The bar has a lovely cosy atmosphere, where one can enjoy the odd peach Bellini. Also we have already booked for next March already.
This was the last leg of a 5 star 3 week vacation in Europe with previous stops in Turkey, Greece, Croatia ... we were exhausted and had very little expectations. Ruzzini Palace Hotel exceeded our expectations!
Not only was this place gorgeous, the service was exceptional! The hotel location was perfect ... safe walking distance to anything and everything. The water taxi pulled right up into the reception area where the staff was beyond welcoming even though we were 4 hours prior to check in. We stayed in a large suite - spacious, clean elegant. There was always someone there at the reception desk to help us: excellent suggestions for restaurants, walking tours, things to do outside of typical touristy targets. While pricey, worth it! I told everyone we stayed in a PALACE!
My wife and I visited for 2 nights. Had an amazing time. Staff is lovely, room is gorgeous and location was perfect. They also have a nice spot to grab a drink overlooking the canal. The square the hotel is on is a bit quieter but you're still close to all the touristy spots. Would absolutely come back.
Our first trip to Venice and our stay was perfect. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and the service from everyone was top notch. Everyone we interacted with was very welcoming and helpful. If flying in to Venice would highly recommend the airport pickup/water taxi directly to the hotel. Stress free way to get from the busy airport and dropped off directly to the hotel. Lots of great sights and things to do within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
